Created by @halloweeneva in response to an entry on the Trivia section of the IMDb page for the Loki TV series saying that “Taika Waititi, who directed Thor: Ragnarok (2017), is in talks to direct a few episodes.”

Yes, it is entirely possible that this is an unsubstantiated speculation posted by some rando who knows nothing. But just in case there’s anything to it, or in case the Powers That Be at Marvel Studios/ Disney+ are actually considering doing this, it seems like a good idea to let them know that it is emphatically NOT what Loki’s fans want.

Taika Waititi’s humor may work for Chris Hemsworth, but he severely lacks the emotional intelligence to properly handle Loki, either without Thor or otherwise. Maybe let Tom Hiddleston direct a few episodes instead, since he’s the one who knows Loki best of all.

so crowley and aziraphale are sitting in the car, right? and aziraphale has just given crowley the holy water and he’s just absolutely blown away. holy crap, right? aziraphale would do that for him. wow. he asks if he should say thank you, but aziraphale says he shouldn’t. he can’t handle the acknowledgement of what he’s done. helping a demon. he can’t be thanked for going against everything he’s ever been told.

so crowley offers to give him a lift, asks if there’s anywhere aziraphale wants to go. he’s trying to return the favour, to show that they can be together; it’s fine. no, says aziraphale, because he knows heaven wouldn’t approve. he sees the hurt on crowley’s face. but maybe they can have a picnic, or dine together at the ritz sometime. he can’t make the commitment yet. can’t take that leap. but maybe sometime, yeah? when he’s ready. when he won’t feel guilty for being with a demon. he can’t accept the ride yet, but one day, in the future, maybe he can make up for it with something better. a meal, just the two of them.

crowley asks again. he’ll take aziraphale anywhere he wants to go. please, aziraphale, don’t you see? we can do whatever we want. who cares what anyone else thinks. why wait? they can go anywhere, do anything, right then at that moment. they’re together, in that moment, why not stay that way for just a little longer. but aziraphale can’t do it. he tells crowley that he goes too fast. crowley doesn’t feel the same apprehension as he does. he’s not ready yet. wherever crowley is at, aziraphale just isn’t there yet - he needs to go slower, to take his time.

and then, after years and years, after the world almost ends, after crowley and aziraphale officially have no place in heaven nor in hell, crowley asks if he could tempt aziraphale to lunch. he’s testing the water. he covers it with a bit of a joke - he’s seeing if aziraphale is truly ready to break away from it all, if he’s no longer above giving in to a bit of temptation. aziraphale agrees; temptation accomplished. he’s accepted it now, given in to whatever it is that draws the two of them towards each other. he’s freed up a table for them at the ritz. that maybe from so long ago; it’s happening. he’s ready now. he’s caught up to crowley, and after all those years, they’re finally on the same page.

the best part about good omens is that when people overhear crowley calling aziraphale angel they’d all just assume it’s a cutesy pet name
