How would I go about getting myself a divinekin tarot spread?

Well, you start with a deck of tarot cards, shuffle them with your intent, and draw cards in the formation shown in order from 1-6. Then, you flip over the cards and read them according to the question shown in the spread for that card.

Okay, so, um… it appears that Mod Nyx has deactivated? We are not sure where they have gone… but Mod Saph and I are really struggling to keep this blog up with college nearing its beginning.

This is a charging board!

It is a simple way to charge up and cleanse your crystals without having to focus on visualisation. Simply put your crystal in the center of a piece of paper, and write around it two categories of words: the things you want to fill your crystal with, and the things you want out of them. Then draw arrows pointing into the crystal for the positives, and away from it for the negatives.

This is a visual way to charge/cleanse without having to maintain focus. I’m certain it could work for any object you want to use, not just crystals!

How To Make Salt-Dough Clay:

Here, I will tell you how to make your very own Salt-Dough Clay so you can craft your very own bowls, statues, etc.!

Materials:

½ Cup of All-Purpose Flour

1 Cup of Salt

½ Cup of Water

Big Bowl

Mixer or a Mixing Spoon

Oven

Pan

Optional: Paints

Directions:

Making Your Clay:

Add your flour and salt together, mixing thoroughly.

Add your water and mix thoroughly.

Your Clay should be done. It’ll be like play-doh.

Mush it up with your hands!

Shape your clay how every you would like. 

Hardening Your Clay:

Preheat oven to 200 degrees.

Put your clay on your pan.

When oven is done preheating, place pan in for 1-4 Hours. [Check Hourly]

Tips:

If you need more clay, add ½ more to each ingredient. 

Put Aluminum Foil Over The Clay To Keep If From Browning. If you’re painting, it really doesn’t matter. :)

Add food coloring to the water to change the clay’s color.

Add a clear coat of clear Acrylic paint to protect your finished product!

I am thinking about making a bowl out of this or maybe even a box for my tarot cards! :) Can’t wait!

What's the difference between a blessed object and a consecrated object?

I do not know.

At its very basic level, to Consecrate something is to remove it from whatever mundane service it had before, and mark it as a tool specifically for use within its newly consecrated purpose (be that a religious purpose or a magickal purpose). 

To Bless something is to confer some magickal, spiritual, or metaphysical benefit to the object. This will still set the object apart from others of its type, but not to the point of excluding its continued mundane use.

For example: 

My house key can be Blessed in such a way that it helps to seal the threshold of my home whenever I use it to lock my door - but it’s still a functioning house key, kept on my keyring and in my pocket.

My house key can be Consecrated in such a way that I keep it with my other magickal tools and use it specifically in spells and rituals pertaining to the protection of my home and those within it - but it is now a magickal/religious tool, and needs to be kept separate from mundane things; it does not go on my key ring or in my pocket with the rest of my pocket junk.

What Are Glamours

Glamours are a type of magic meant to change the way you are perceived by others. This can mean anything from making you seem more attractive, to more intimidating, to even letting you blend in with your surroundings. With all the different possible applications, this is the type of magic I have found to be the most useful 

How They Work (Note: In my opinion. Yours may vary)

Imagine that there’s an aura of energy that surrounds you and is completely unique, like a signature. This energy acts like a filter for how people see you (as described in this post). Change the filter, and it will change the way others perceive you without actually changing your appearance at all. 

This can be done a million different ways. I find it helpful to get familiar with your energy first. Meditate, and imagine what that energy around you might look like. What color is it? What texture? How much space does it take up? Once you have a good idea of what it looks like, it becomes a lot easier to manipulate.

How To Do Them 

There are about as many different ways to do glamours as there are witches. Do some exploring to see what works for you. Do you like makeup? When you get dolled up, visualize the makeup going onto your energy. Are you a jewelry person? Push the energy you want to give off into the jewelry and wear it. I personally like to add a physical aspect to my glamours, but that’s not even necessary; you could simply imagine your energy changing in the way you want to. 

Glamours generally stay on as long as you are putting energy into them. Most tend to go away as you stop thinking about them, but I have done glamours before that tapped into my energy for far too long and had to be consciously removed. If you find this happening, cleansing yourself and then grounding will usually do the trick.

Fruit or herb infused water (making sure you’re using safe and edible ones, of course) can be a great way to have a magical boost for the day

Like, imagine if you want a little help when job hunting

Toss some sliced strawberries (luck), sliced oranges (luck, employment, money), and mint (knowledge, employment) into a container (bottle, thermos, even a pitcher) and let it sit in the fridge overnight

Voila, you have infused water tailored to your need and intent. Plus, for other witches who need to keep things hidden, it’s healthy and popular so most people wouldn’t question it too much

Candle Magic Omens

If you are doing candle magic, watch for omens that may predict the success of your spell:

Tall, strong flame - your spell is empowered and getting through, it will work very well

Flickering, unsteady flame - your spell is having trouble manifesting your results

Dancing, wild flame - get ready for the roller coaster ride

Normal flame - things are working as expected

Small, blue flame - your spell is not getting through, prepare a backup plan

Crackling, popping flame - your spell may manifest in very unexpected ways

Herbs good for seasonal Allergies

Here is a list of herbs I like to make into a tea. If you can find local raw honey, that also can help the body fight allergies as well.

Calendula, red clover, and fennel keep mucous membranes hydrated to help ward off infection.

Nettle is a natural antihistamine.

Spearmint and peppermint help open up airways.

Lavender has antiseptic properties in case infection creeps in (calendula is great for this too).

Eyebright is helpful for a whole slew of sinus issues and especially good for hay fever.

Yerba santa acts as an expectorant, reducing mucous and phlegm.

Lemongrass and a pinch of stevia are there to help make the tea tasty.

ButterburI the herb appears to work as a leukotriene inhibitor, which blocks some chemicals that trigger swelling in the nasal passages.
