Cade was exhausted. Why the fuck was he walking all the way to Kipās house at 3am? It was much too late, or early, he supposed, for this. Thankfully heād figured out the shortest way to get there on google maps and, by cutting through the park, heād made it to the other maleās house in about a half hour.
The blond was dressed in plaid flannel pajama pants, mostly because they were comfortable and the first thing he saw in his drawers while getting dressed in the dark, a t-shirt, his new Secret Santa evil Christmas Sweater, and a thick hoodie overtop. His phone was tucked into one of the hoodie pockets and he repeatedly checked it for the time, wondering how much longer he had to walk until he reached the building.
He sighed as he approached Kipās door and double checked the number with the one on Kipās phone, before knocking four times and shifting his weight awkwardly between his feet. āCmāon, Kip.ā He muttered.
His television, muted, in a random channel, was the only light in the bedroom besides the red tip of a cigarette. Kip was sitting in the end of the bed, not really smoking, Ā just rolling the ciggy between his fingers. He glanced at the stick of cancer, like his stepfather liked to say, and at his reflection in the window. He smiled humorlessly at himself Ā and bit his bottom lip.Iām a stubborn little shit. Smoking, like many things, proved to be pointless.Ā But he didnāt stop smoking.Ā Thinking about Cade Hanson at 3 am was pointless, also. But he didnāt stop doing it. And inviting him to his house to watch Frozen, damn, this was pointless as hell. Yet, that was exactly what he did. And crazily enough, Cade said yes.
The silenceĀ went on for half an hour untilĀ finallyĀ there was aĀ knockĀ at the front door.Ā Putting out the cigarette in the ashtray, Kip stood up immediately but didnāt exactly run to it. He hastily opened the door right after the fourth knock, wearing just aĀ tank topĀ and pajama pants and putting on a smirk on his face before saying āHere you are.ā
