okay *deep breath* since the ronan x kavinsky discourse is back, let’s talk about how kavinsky represents a dark part of ronan’s psyche. kavinsky represents everything ronan wants but thinks he can’t have. what if he could blatantly be the disaster? be the car crash? feel the desire? succumb to the substances?

that’s the allure of their pairing – yes, k is the bad guy but ronan wants him to be the bad guy. kavinsky was allowed to explode while ronan was not. it’s not supposed to be a soft or kind or pc relationship. it’s two people seeing distorted reflections of themselves, each wanting to be and wanting each other. and when they do collide, it is disastrous. and that’s the point

woah, not an art post. uhh so i finally read the chapter with pynchs first kiss and.. AAAH how. idk how to continue reading to chapter 34 like r they pretending that didnt happen for the rest of the night, WHAT?! i loved it tho omg, the way it started and ended and all the not talked about complicated feelings is so them. I don't think i would have expected anything different, excited to see how they navigate this now that they arent dancing around eachother lol
