i just knit a lace shawl to show off this exact color scheme of a beautiful yarn i got!

I used a lifeline for the first time today! Usually I just unravel and pray to the yarn gods that I can pick up all the live stitches lol

I haven't done a wip Wednesday in a while! I have three wips at the moment.

First up is this endless stockinette scarf for my mom. The yarn is a merino/silk blend and it's handdyed. I try to work on this a little everyday. I still have about 440 meters of yarn to go though lol.

I'm also working on a gift for my SIL: a pair of socks. She chose the yarn herself (Opal Aquarell Winterruhe).

Finally, I'm knitting a top for myself in a cotton/linen blend. During the heatwave recently this was the only thing I wanted to work on since the wool projects made my hands sweat too much lol.

Finished this pair of socks for myself! I used Opal Aquarell in the colour Duftoase. I kinda didn't wanna bother with starting the second sock at the exact same place in the yarn as the first sock, so the socks are a bit different.

The pattern is Basic Sock No. 1 by Summer Lee. I knit something between size M and L, and it turned out surprisingly fine lol

Finally finished the pair of socks I've been working on for two months lmao

The first sock was so easy, and then I started working on the second sock and ooooh myyyyy goooooood I didn't enjoy any of that. It literally took me a month because I would just not knit for days because I was so done with it.

I do like the way the socks turned out. I just washed them, so I'll post a pic later today or tomorrow.

I’ve been making a couple of things for myself lately that I need to post but I’ll start with the most recent - this incredible jumper I just finished!

Since it’s the middle of summer, I won’t be able to wear it but the design came out exactly how I wanted. More details on my inspirations to come 🕷️

Front panel finally done..!!! The duplicate stitches didnt take me as much time as i initially anticipated so thats good lol there sooooo many mistakes (im still a newbie at intarsia) but you cant tell unless you look reallyyyy close at the chart so 🤷‍♀️

Now unto the sleeves !

Finally finished my brioche sweater after it sat in time out for a while! kinda iffy on the fit, I think I need to redo the collar and perhaps shorten the sleeves, but I don't have the willpower at present lol.

The yarn is Eventide DK by Undercover Otter in the colour Gingerdead.

Finished this cowl for my kid! It was a really fast knit (which is almost always the case with things I knit for my toddler lol).

The pattern is Trailway Cowl (free on Ravelry). I used a hand dyed yarn that's 60% merino, 20% yak and 20% silk. It's knit in mistake rib and it's really squishy and soft.

probably gonna take a short break from knitting. I got a bit burned out when I was knitting this tbh and I'm not quite sure why, so maybe I just need to focus on my other hobbies for a bit.

tbh I think this break will last for the weekend at max, but who knows.
