After watching alien earth again, I finally get why wendy felt so betrayed by kirsh, and why he ends up in the cell with the others. She trusted him back when she was just a kid (and who even knows if she realized he was synthetic at the time).

And honestly, his whole vibe shifts the moment she turns into a hybrid ( he used to be so soft with her). After that, she’s basically a test product he’s supposed to evaluate. That’s also why he never intervened in the slightly situation (basically, hybrids don’t follow any guidelines, they think there’s still some human part left in them). And in the end, she only really understood she wasn’t safe with him after isaac died.

Kirsh follows protocols. Sure, he decides how he wants to follow them, but they’re still protocols, and he doesn’t get to control that part. (yep, he always thought bringing the specimens was a bad idea from the start, but he can’t exactly refuse an order).

#this makes so much sense actually #he's kind to her as a human because hes programmed to be #and as a hybrid she is a new entity he has no paramaters of guidance on #so aside from the commands of BK he gets to choose #and he obviously does not see her as human in any way amymore #so he treats her thusly #so interesting
