I haven't posted in forever BUT I took a trip to Japan recently and looooook at what I got. I had to specifically buy a giant suitcase for only this to be put into to get it back to the states. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing this thing everyday. Damn, RIP Kazuki Takahashi. Never would have guessed watching Yu-Gi-Oh! as a kid that I would get so invested in it as an adult as well or love it as much as I do.

Sucks knowing it seems like an accident rather than health or age related issues too.

Might be time for me to finally finish reading the manga. :(

He’s just out there in Okinawa, eating with his friends and taking pictures, I’m sure he’ll be back and post his journey on instagram…

Kazuki Takahashi

I don’t even know what to write. Kazuki Takahashi is gone… the mangaka of Yugioh. Fuck this hits me so fucking hard. I am drawing Yuugi right now, an hour ago I was watching the last season. His series changed my life forever, for fucking ever.

I would be an entirely different person if not for Yugioh. It led me straight into drawing, I have friends from 20 years ago I talk to everyday thanks to it. I can hardly describe how much of an impact the characters and the series have had throughout my childhood AND adulthood. I am so, so devastated but also so, so grateful for everything he did. He is such a legend, he was such a caring human too

He is such an inspiration to me and to millions of people around the world who enjoy to this day and for years to come his genius. I wanted to meet him so badly but I thank him for never giving up on his dream, for letting us into his world and gifting us such beloved characters. 

Rest in peace, legend. You story too, ends in light.
