Recently received a small bit of criticism regarding my post where I said “tell that to 1.2k subs” When someone told me I was doing it wrong Here’s the thing I’m a musician, a guy who grafts his arse off every day in a day job Comes home, spends all his time tryna promote, write good songs Work on videos Figure out how to get the best sound out of limited equipment Figure out how to mix to the best quality with limited equipment If someone tells me “you’re doing it wrong” and then blocks me before I can say anything to them I have every right to say “well fuck you it’s working” And I have zero obligation to pander to the whims of people who think they can tell me how I should be doing things You do your shit, I do mine If that turns people off for my music, then so be it My music isn’t meant for people who get overly upset about needless things Who can’t take lighthearted jokes How about I phrase it like this

I fucks with the people who can have a laugh The people who see a friend or even just a stranger working on their artistry or their skill and think “you fucking do your thing and do what you can” The people who when their friend says “yo can you like my bands page on Facebook” turn around and say “fuck yeah and not only that but I’ll share it and say what I think and encourage others to do the same, cause dreams are fucking important” I fucks with that crowd And I have no obligation to pander or be controlled by negative Nancy’s who just wanna piss on the party And again I say Anyone who does covers of songs, sings, plays guitar or any instrument, even clarinet, maybe you dance? Maybe you kickbox Idgaf If you do something interesting and that’s your talent, tell me about it, I’ll shout you out a million times over and encourage it, cause that’s how we should be Not bringing each other down or shitting on each other for no reason, especially over tiny jokes We should be fucking happy for each other.
