Some appreciation real quick

But seriously: Let’s take a moment to appreciate all the strong ladies in ‘The Battle of The Bastards’.

Daenerys has never used her dragons so much before, riding them into battle and controlling all of them perfectly, without any struggle. Not just empty words - she follows through.

Yara and Daenerys negotiating, making the decisions while Theon and Tyrion give advice and stand by their side, but it’s them making the decisions. Yara being the badass lady she is. I hope we’ll see more Daenerys/Yara scenes in the future.

And Sansa. Sansa spent 4 seasons doing basically nothing, just being held captive, being played with. During season 5 she started to change, but now she has changed, and she stands up for herself. Without her deal with Littlefinger Jon would have lost the battle, you can’t deny that.

Not to forget: Arya, Cersei and Brienne. They weren’t in this episode, but should be mentioned.

Yet another reason to love Game of Thrones: Women are more than just damsels in distress that need to be saved. They are just as and sometimes more powerful or smart than the men. Way to go, GRRM, writers and showrunners. Thanks for this strong female characters standing up for themselves.

Designers  Benjamin Maus and Prokop Bartonicek have created an impressive kinetic machine called the Jller, which sorts pebbles by geological age. Jller thoroughly analyzes the stones’ appearance, which includes its color, lines, layers, grain, patterns and lines, as well as texture.
