Issey Miyake S/S 1998 dress
Beige-pink woolly nylon knit one-piece dress; cotton and silk mix underdress. In 1998, Miyake became interested in tubular knits, and started to research on how to apply the functional feature of knits. Miyake’s determination led to the mixture of knitting and contemporary innovative technology, which culminated the birth of “A-POC”. The cylindrically designed piece goes against all the functional features of a knit such as lightness, resistance to wrinkles, and adaptability to any shape.
