“Look out!” Even if she knew it was too late, Colleen picked up her pace and ran to the girl in attempt to save her. “No, no, no.” She screamed as the debris plummeted down the girl and unconsciously held her breath as she stopped on her tracks, expecting a bloody scene that should have followed. There was no way the girl would survive. Seeing, there nothing she had expected, Colleen was thorough confused. “What the…” Realizing the girl could actually phased through matter, she heaved a sigh of relief. “Mutant.” She muttered under her breath while she ran her fingers through her hair as the tension was released from her body. “Shit, you..” scared me, was what she was supposed to say. For one second, she thought about all the people she couldn’t save before.

Guilt was riddled in her face at the realization that she became the cause of an unwarranted amount of stress to someone. Quickly stepping away from the rubble, Kitty raised her hands, signaling that she was completely harmless ( and not harmed ). “Oh my god, I am so sorry,” she breathed, stopping just in front of the woman. “I’m so sorry,” she repeated. “Are you okay? Did you get hurt?” Kitty did a quick once-over of the woman, brows slightly raising at the sight of her...swords? She knew it started with a k. And the woman certainly looked Asian. “Uhm...are you on your way to a cosplay?” she asked, and quickly realized that she might’ve sounded offensive. “I don’t mean any offense! I honestly adore any type of dressing up. And those actually look real!” she said, referring to the swords.

Smothering her snigger, she didn’t want him to think that she was condescending. Peter was definitely out of this world, and for that reason alone she offered to buy them hotdogs after the whole elevator fiasco. “Apparently the reigning queen of pop. It’s still debatable though,” she shrugged. “Condiments?”

Unaware of her tendencies in becoming a sponge and absorbing ideas—both good and bad—she would remember Remy’s perspective for years to come, perhaps even draw some inspiration from it. She sniggered at the idea of being arrested and mused, “I’d like to see them try! If you're ever in a pinch, you know who to call.” The lobby wasn’t full of people, but it wasn’t deserted either. “You think the minute we entered, they’ve already scanned and checked us?” No one was screaming towards their direction, so she took it as a good sign.

    Superhuman strength came in handy in a pinch, and right now, New York City was in a hell of a pinch. Determined to help with the clean up, Anna Marie was hauling piles of rubble from the disaster site, using every ounce of muscle she’d absorbed from a local super powered person. Luckily, the man was unharmed from her absorption, a stark change from the chaos that ensued when her mutation first emerged. As she set the rubble down, gasping at the exertion, she noticed a crowd emerging around her. “Easier than it looks, sugar,” she called out to one of the onlookers. “Now, I think I’m going to take a break. You mind joinin’ me for a hotdog?” After everything New York was suffering from, Anna Marie was happy to volunteer her time. The city needed to band together, and the X-Men needed to active in the community to do so.

There wasn’t much that Kitty could do with helping the city’s clean up, considering her power was passing through objects. With Lockheed trailing her some paces away, Kitty decidedly felt bored. With everything that has happened, she was late to the real ‘party’ ( so to speak ), where she could’ve actually served some sort of purpose. She continued her dallying down the streets, until a familiar voice rang out to a crowd. Anna Marie! She was immediately energized. Pushing through the crowd, muttering sorry’s at every unintentional shove she made, she sprinted towards Rogue and literally jumped at her face. “So, this is what you’ve been up to! I don’t see you around anymore,” she said, giving the woman a soft glare which eventually turned into a smile.

With slightly furrowed brows, she gave voice to her confusion. “Why would you want to freelance when you’ve got the X-Men with you?” she shrugged, although truthfully wanting to know his intentions. Honestly, she was ready to take the mantle of superhero — or mutant — off for the time being, experience what a normal college life was, until this threat came out of literally nowhere. She gave him a suspicious look, although not unfriendly. “You know what, even if we’re not allowed to go in, I’ll take it. This tower has got to have the best technology around.” Dusting off her clothes, she started walking towards the entrance.

Wrinkling her nose, she looked at the source of the voice, and was honestly surprised to see Remy — Gambit — in all his leather glory. “You!” she called out, running towards the 6′3″ mutant and forgetting about her distaste with smoking, opening her arms to give him a hug. She was definitely a hugger, and almost no one was an exception, but she also hadn’t seen Remy for a long while. “What have you been up to—I didn’t catch you during last time [mission]? And what do you mean we’re going in? We are allowed to?” she gushed the last question with brown eyes shining bright, and then quickly tried to maintain her composure.

Against her better judgment, Kitty was drawn to where it all started. When Thanos — who would ever call themselves Thanos, anyway? — first terrorized the inhabitants of New York, she was halfway across to Chicago already. To say that she missed the fun was insensitive, but she still felt a little bummed and pouty about it. “So, this was where it happened, huh? Boy, that is one tall tower,” she muttered to herself, referring to the Avengers Tower. Before she could go around the giant monstrosity any further, she heard a cry of warning and she immediately looked up. Debris was falling towards her direction faster than she could say howdy, and before it could smash her and make her into a Kitty sandwich, she turned intangible. It was perhaps a freaky sight, with metal and rods sticking all around her body, but she remained casual about it. “Geez, out of all the spots it could’ve fallen,” she tsked, placing a hand on her hips.

henlo me loves! i’m allie (also play pepper potts!), from the gmt +8 timezone, and i’m here to introduce my version of kitty pryde! honestly, she’s pretty much a clean slate so it’s probs best you forget most of the stuff you know about her??? omg

she’s adopted and was raised by jewish parents in deerfield, illinois

she got recruited into xavier’s school for gifted youngsters when she was ten (pretty young) and is most probably treated as a kid sister to many older members of the x-men. heck, probably everyone in this rp will treat her like a kid, much to her annoyance, even those younger than her. it’s not only because she’s on the young side, but also bc she’s naturally bubbly and cheerful and could probably talk your ear off.

she’s actually p lonely surrounded by adults all the time, considering the x-men she works with are all in the older age range. for now, she’s the youngest x-man. so if your muse is on the younger side, kitty would instantly latch onto and love your muse.

should we have the new mutants come into play ( yes zomg bring them here!! ), she never actually ended up joining them, even with xavier supposedly wanting to re-assign her. it’s mostly because she wants to come off as mature, maybe act like an older sister to them ( although she fails, terribly so ). ironically enough, she gets saved by the new mutants when she got abducted, much to my amusement lmao, and they’re p close.

she’s a walking contradiction basically ,,, she wants to be treated like an adult but ends up acting even more childish

her identity’s publicly known, as is the case with being an x-men. she’s the poster child, a show to the civilians that teenage mutants can be harmless and sweet instead of being volatile and reckless. although people often make the mistake of underestimating her.

her mutant power is intangibility (phasing), and although she mostly has control over it, there is still a need for her to focus, or else things could get quite messy (i.e. being unable to return to solid form). despite her seemingly unexciting power, she’s considered to be a prodigy and is actually pretty useful. more on this when i set up her statistics page!

other abilities that she has include: cloaking, time travel (though she’s still unaware of it), expert martial artist, genius level computer expert, skilled dancer (lmao)

so she has a loyal sidekick and companion called lockheed, and will most likely (if not always tbh) be by her side during character interactions (so if our muses have nothing to talk about anymore, they can change the topic to lockheed.) lockheed’s a small, alien, dragon-like creature. she met him when the x-men were kidnapped by the brood and brought to outer space and saved kitty from the brood. ( i dont even know why i’m explaining this jklkj )

having reached university age, she has plans of pursuing university studies back in chicago, particularly computer science. but with the imminent threat on the world, she decided to stay and help the x-men win the good fight. she’s probably as good as useless, but she simply can’t leave family, no matter how condescending they may get towards her.

some headcanons (mostly because it involves other playable characters):

wolverine trained her and was her mentor. they’re pretty tight.

storm treats kitty like the daughter she never had.

an actual cinnamon roll. some of the x-men tend to avoid her for this, depending on your muse’s personality.

she loves going on adventures. lara croft’s her idol lmao.

best friend / partner-in-crime : this is preferably someone who’s a teenager or in their early twenties!! should you wish to take this plot, we can work out the details ourselves <3

and… that’s all, actually. i’m all for natural chemistry between muses. and this will probably be updated with added stuff and put somewhere in kitty’s blog. but for now, love/hate kitty as much as your muse can!! yaaay
