attack | elijah & kang
eremington:
At least he was conscious, though Kang didn’t sound good. “You’re going to be alright, just stay with me.” Elijah stroked the back of Kang’s paw gently with his thumb and twisted to look back at the attackers. His eyes fell on the camera, and he used magic to bring it over so he could pry open the compartment for the memory. There were two. One looked perfectly normal, the other had a small sticker on it with a bullseye-like symbol that he couldn’t place. He slipped both of them into his pocket in case there was something stored on them that they could use later.
Right now the priority was Kang. He gathered the fox up in his arms as carefully as he could and stood up, leaning back to take some of Kang’s weight on his chest. “I’m gonna take you to the library, ok? It’s safe, and we can figure out if you need to go to the hospital or the Dumisanis or somewhere else.” He teleported into the staff break room and walked over to the sink, still holding onto Kang. He didn’t want to just abandon the fox without giving him a warning. “Can I put you down and see if there’s anyone here who knows more about spirits? I’ll be back soon no matter what.”
All the fox spirit could do in his state was allow Elijah to pick him up as he slumped into his arms exhausted. He barely registered anything as Elijah teleported them into the library nearby, Remington-owned so it was very safe.
He nodded vaguely, another soft whimper escaping him as he lay his head back down, pain throbbing in his skull from the deep gash across his forehead. He must have really been hurt bad given how he could hardly access his usual magic to shift back into his human form. In addition to feeling so drained, it felt strange being in such a state in his fox form where anyone who came by could see.
He was supposed to be human, damnit!
Kang sighed from where he was set down and waited for Elijah to return.
