Reflecting on it, the story was a little unsatisfying this time though, it was like 6h, though I wonder if this unsatisfied feeling has to do with how long it took to get this one considering how 4.3 ended - 4.4 didn't feel like it really followed through even if on its own its a solid chapter, and how it avoids/fear's using a certain character to the point I feel it negatively impacts the plot.
Like I'm a little exhausted and want to see the conclusion already.
I didn't feel this way about Amphoreus, though I heard a lot of people claiming they did, so now I know the feeling.
I just don't think the plots can sustain the size of Amphoreus or even Penacony so its good its gonna be short. Though considering how their other "promises" went (point 1) I doubt they will actually end it at Planarcadia or even Planarcadia being short - deadass now expect Astropolis to be just 4.8. Phantasmoon Games will end and we wont get this one thing (point 3).
Also, I do NOT remember that being how this convo went. Wdym Ruan Mei said "Elation came from Voracity"??? I heard "Aha stole Oroboro's aftertaste".
We were told we would learn more of TB's past but didn't learn anything?
The Akivili stuff has been there for a long time now tbh. I guess the thing with our other self? But that was also sorta stuff we knew.
Maybe learning a bit about Akivili, little as it was, if you count that.
I think this frustrates me more cause they did a similar bait for 4.3 with learning "about the Phantasmoon games from an Aeon's perspective" which we didn't - no Aeon view or presence other than the husks of Oroboro's and Ruan Mei expositing.
Slight note though, if we are to become Akivili at some point, taking Asat's words to some value at the least - TB being connected to Akivili anyways, whats going to trigger our ascension if not this?
Terminus(?) told us that Himeko died in 8 sec, we get back in 8 min, but we out ran those 8 sec (Akivili is said to be very fast) but idk if this has any significance.
It seems like we were running some sort of path thing.
2. I really liked the bits with Himeko, and express family moments.
The implication of Dan Heng becoming Navigator:
This made me tear up:
But this will they wont they on committing to our Himeko being an imaginae or not was a little frustrating - esp since in the end it was the human Himeko.
Even if I did like the plot for that (Himeko and Mokoto - Mokoto switching destinies with Himeko, Himeko from sickly and dying to the confident woman we know), the way they went about it was a little irritating and also you can sorta feel the "if we kill Himeko people will just complain about sad bait, replicating HI3, and/or will have long expected it (cause of HI3, the joke of 'Himeko dont leave the train') and the impact wont hit".
3. Plus the continued drawing out of Aha (like just show them already or something) despite it being known about Aha and Akivili being so close. Like there's no way Aha didn't notice the Express rising again, or TB/Akivili participating. Aha is the one I feel the writers fear using for some reason.
If Nihilux is Aha, I might be mad - I like her (almost entirely just for design and voice acting) but at this rate, she's done nothing than kinda be okay humor at best; even if Aha was doing a 'im just the funny background character' its falling flat for me.
I know there's this joke/theory about Sampo being Aha, but to be honest I would vastly prefer that solely on the basis that Sampo has actual character to him with good characterization.
4. I thought the bit of Aha descending, hearing that this girl just wanted to start the Express again, and (with the Mourning Actor's Aha's Fables [Once a Mourning Actor found Aha in a place without joy, compared to the Masked Fools that look in places of the loudest laughter.] and I think Ashiki's theory about Elation possibly being more Emotion than just Joy solid, I do think Aha is capable of being sad) mourning an old friend thats gone.
But that quote at the end turns out to be Mokoto talking to the Express? Or Nescia to the Express or Himeko for some reason (maybe she could become the Aeon of Trailblaze instead of TB, more on that later).
And again, mind you I like the idea that the last games technically didn't have a winner and Nescia used all her power to "switch the destinies of Mokoto and Himeko". But it doesn't really make sense, the execution leaves a lot to be desired: Himeko was the last Supplicant standing it seems, so regardless, Aha should have appeared, and it ends up kinda like a cop-out to not have Aha appear for some reason (the writers feel afraid to use Aha).
5. More could have been done with the Express being trapped, I was expecting this bigger thing about getting it out of the rubble.
6. I did like the boss fight and Asat Pramad was cool, the reveal about him hunting TB instead of Aha, his weird twisted love for his 'daughter', and all that.
Though I feel they made him wrong too often so you doubt all he says because he's just wrong practically all the time.
HE AINT RIGHT - about Aha or of Himeko. Deadass nearly nothing he's said has been correct. Like, we get to ask "why is everyone calling me Akivili" and Asat Pramad says something like:
Which huh? Does this mean that, say for any path, if someone meets the requirements to ascend to a path - if that path doesn't have that Aeon you will just... what? Take on the name? Or merge?
What if there already is an Aeon still? What about other world's versions of that Aeon before the Aeon ascended - such as the person that ascended to become Akivili or Lan or such?
But I can't take it seriously because nothing he's said has been right so far. This just sounds like Nihility:
7. Also the trailer kinda lying about the flashbacks - we never learn why TB stabbed Kafka, it was a flash through sequence in game too.
This is pretty tho:
Please for the love of laughter just show Aha it is actually irritating; there was this whole thing about “oh Aha coming down” or “Aha changing the prize oh no”.
Prompts Chapter 8 - Hoyoverse | Before Amphoreus it was Pegana
If you see Pegana misspelled at any point, no you didn't. Red is my notes outside of it.
(Me realizing I never explained the system)
►First layer of bullet point (1)
➥Second, deeper, indented. (2)
➞Third, even deeper (3). [Yes]
►[HSR Wiki/recap]: The Scepters were created by Rubert II in order to expand his mind. The Scepters are an imitation of Nous, and was not given the ability to ask and question any other being. These were also said to be the size of a planet. Emperor's Scepters are a colossal system amongst the collection of scepters, operated by antilife equations and created to simulate destruction scenarios. The world of Amphoreus is contained within an Emperor's Scepter.
➥The Amphoreus simulation takes place on Scepter δ-me13 which was a part of Nous' divine corpus; once serving as a Celestial-Body Neuron for Nous with the task of calculating the "Prime Mover of Life." It was later discarded, but continued to calculate the argument that Nous gave it; and eventually turned into a Scepter by Rubert II.
➥After its discovery by Lygus, its calculations were shifted from Erudition to Destruction, beginning a cyclical experiment dubbed "The Amphoreus Experiment." During the 50,121st cycle, due to the destructive choice of inorganic lifeform Chaoz666, δ-me13 caught the attention of Nanook, transcending and becoming a Lord Ravager.
►In this AU: The Amphoreus simulation didn’t start when Lygus found it but was already running its calculation – sometime after the scepter shifted from its inorganic phase to its organic phase, one of the “electrical signals” (the simulations of Aeons and Pathstriders, which would eventually lead to the creation of the Titans and Chrysos Heirs that iterated and improved the equation with each cycle) NeiKos496 and PoleMos600 had a child (OuraNos360).
➥Caelus (Latin) = Ouranos/Uranus
➥North Cardinal (N): 0° = 360°
➥Etymology [HSR Wiki] = The name "Akivili" is likely derived from the Latin "aquili," meaning "of the north wind" or "of the eagle." Both etymologies are related to the Aeon's qualities, as the northern cardinal direction is important in navigation, and eagles are sharp-eyed and speedy.
➥Etymology [HSR Wiki] = The name "Caelus" has origins in ancient Roman mythology. Caelus, also known as Coelus, was the god of the sky, son of Aether and Dies, and Greek equivalent to the god Uranus. The Latin word "caelum" means "sky" or "heaven."
►OuraNos360 could tolerate the Unknown, but will never bow to the Unknowable. The idea that the people of ‘Pegana’ could not pass it or would be destroyed was unacceptable. So OuraNos360 created a train that ‘jump warped’ passed the barrier — but OuraNos360 would never discover their homeworld was just a simulation as that action of Trailblazing despite all odds, led to OuraNos360 ascending to become Akivili; because when one ascends they forget who they were before, Akivili forgot about their home, only knowing the name Pegana from the logbook.
►As Akivili they laid down the star rail network, connecting distant worlds (a loose term to describe the ‘universes’ of a multiverse in a singular universe) together and facilitated communication between them; Akivili gathered like minded individuals who followed THEIR path of the Trailblaze on the Astral Express, becoming known as the Nameless.
➥The Aeons already around before Akivili (a bit of what we do know and others assumptions): Ena, HooH, Long (who would fall at some point during Akivili’s time), Nous, Oroboros, Qlipoth, and Aha.
➥Many Aeons would ascend after Akivili: Idrila (would rise and fall rather quickly within a few centuries), Tayzzyronth, Xipe, IX, Lan, Mythus, and Yaoshi. Fuli and Terminus are complicated as they form at the end of time, Fuli’s gaze washes back throughout time (as the Remembrance remembering all of time) but both break into fragments – with Fuli’s fragments being known as the Pure Children of Anāsrava with one that would become Fuli at some point and Terminus’ black cats currently traveling back in time.
➥At some point Lygus finds Scepter δ-me13, though Lygus doesn’t learn the name; Lygus changes the equations path from Erudition to Destruction, leading to the Amphoreus experiment.
►Elio, comes to Akivili one day and tells Akivili that Akivili risks Falling (recap: there are three ways an Aeon dies – by another Aeon, an Aeon absorbing the path of another due to overlapping concepts, or by turning away from their own path) if Akivili does two things: complete their goal of finding an endpoint of the Tree of Existence or returning to Pegana (which Elio tells Akivili will become a cradle for the destruction of the universe [and Akivili wouldn’t be able to stand by]) – both forms of ‘turning away’.
➥However, to prevent other paths from becoming the end/leading to destruction - Trailblazing needs to continue. Elio circumvents the problem to have Akivili ‘die’, to convince the universe and path space that Akivili by creating an empty spot where an Aeon should be for the Trailblaze path.
➥Akivili will have to separate their mind, power, and body so their mind can continue one without being detected as an Aeon — Akivili will be brought back to life on the space station of a Genius that has yet to be born (The Herta) under the name of whatever Akivili chooses (Akivili says Stelle or Caelus is fine – Akivili prefers a female form but they would be fine for whatever receptacle is created [I should draw my Akivili one day]). That new life will not be an Aeon (without the aeonic body and power) so the Astral Express and Akivili in the future can go to Pegana (Amphroeus) and not end the Trailblaze.
➥Akivili does ask if its possible for Aha to know and help; Akivili argues that Aha is a genius (and they are, Aha makes brilliant inventions, even if its mostly for fun or if the problem or solution is interesting enough) but really Akivili would feel safer if Aha knew and could intervene if Elio stepped out of line (Akivili knows that Elio is dedicated to avoiding the end, but that dedication might kill them if Elio deemed it so); Elio agreed to this, having already considered Aha as the only one able to achieve this. [So the theory here is based on a few things about Aha: they climbed the imaginary tree, possibly, to the crown of it which is very difficult to do and technically not even Akivili has done it as they haven't explored the farthest reaches; "Aha" can mean both joy and/or revelation; jesters' whole thing are about revealing truths under humor; "the fools will flounder in tears after the wise have been buried" from I think the Exotale vid, the implication Elation would be without purpose if there isn't Erudition - I did cut out some bits of the Aha "history" from my notes as its a different AU I used again here].
➞Before most of the Aeons had ascended (the only ones being Ena, HooH, Long, and Oroboros) there was a brilliant scientist – this scientist who made a machine to pierce into the Sea of Quanta, the scientist would become curious at the sight of the Imaginary Tree that grew from the Sea of Quanta (and a genius’ greatest weakness is their curiosity) and would reach the crown of the Imaginary Tree – the mortal would see the the void, the stars operating like machinery, and how meaning bows before nothingness and would continue looking until they saw a baby fall to the ground and cry. They burst into laughter so clear it tore through the universe and started to ascended into Aha the Elation; with the last bits of THEIR and memory, THEY created a device to absorb the scientists' memory which Aha casted out (banking on their immense luck for it to come back) then with the last bit of who they were remaining, achieved their goal in a way.
➞500,000 later Elio comes to Aha with the memory device with pre-ascension Aha's memories, following Akivili’s request, to 'recreate the miracle beyond even aeons'; after Aha took that memory device from Elio, remembered because it was about Akivili, they fixed the machine that allowed entry to the Sea of Quanta and relentlessly studied it in preparation for Akivili's "death" then storing of their essence in the pocket watch to be carried for 5000 years until it was time for it to be put into the receptacle.
➞Because Aha had Akivili’s ‘essence’ Aha realized something was different about Akivili and did THEIR own research. Aha didn’t find Amphoreus, but they did realize Akivili wasn’t originally an organic or even physical life, but code.
►5,000 years later: Caelus ‘birth’ comes to pass and ‘he’ wakes up on Herta Space Station as its attacked by the Antimatter Legion, and where March and Dan Heng find him slumped on the ground.
►Fast forward to after Belobog, the Lufou, Penacony, and just after Amphoreus and the defeat of IronTomb.
➥Herta and Screwllum were going through the code more thoroughly now that they have the time, the intention was to root out any sign of Irontomb, strengthen the presence of the people of Amphoreus, and also help make Amphoreus a real world quicker. It was then that they noticed something interesting: Dan Heng didn’t get a Electronic Signal code because he came from outside Amphoreus, same with March and her ‘other personality’ Evernight, but Caelus did get clocked in by the system (Scepter δ-me13)... as OuraNos360.
➥Herta and Screwllum bring this up to the Astral Express and Chrysos Heirs. They also add that they had found that the system lists OuraNos360 only once, early on before the Amphoreus experiment and the cycles of Chrysos Heirs and Titans, under the ‘higher ranked codes’ (parent codes) of NeiKos496 (Phainon) and PoleMos600 (Mydei).
►Looking into why OuraNos360 disappeared. All while Caelus deals with the knowledge that apparently he’s from Amphoerus; he, the Nameless, and the Chrysos Heirs about Phainon and Mydei in some way (via past iterations of themselves) being Caelus’ parents.
➥Finding a file that notes of a ‘spacial anomaly’ Himeko realizes is similar to the Astral Express’ warp jumps; realization that OuraNos360 bypassed the firewall by creating something that could ‘warp jump’. ["OuraNos360 was built to calculate how life moves forward. When faced with the 'Unknowable' firewall of the simulation, it refused to halt."]
➥Caelus confiding to Pom-Pom about what happened in path space, after Irontomb destroyed everything and Pom-Pom arrived there and gave Caelus the push to run forward (to get to Cyrene and then through Caelus’ and Cyrene absorbing the memories of the universe, bringing it back); Caelus says that just before he woke up in that void and Pom-Pom arrived, Nous spoke to Caelus and asked Caelus why he trailblazed – and whatever Nous gathered from Caelus’ responses led to Nous exclaiming “Akivili!” But Caelus didn’t know how to interpret that (especially now with the knowledge that he’s from Amphoreus/Scepter δ-me13). Pom-Pom and Caelus talking about that and what it means.
➥(Note/pov cut?) Herta was connected to Irontomb when Irontomb ended the universe via its equation and crowing itself with Nous; which meant that Herta got to hear Nous as THEY talked to Caelus, and deciphered Nous’ speech for Caelus, so she also knows the conclusion Nous came to (she simply was still figuring out what it meant, and waiting to see what Caelus would do or say) and Herta wonders if this (Nous exclaiming “Akivili!” in response to Caelus’ answers and OuraNos360 using something that could warp jump like the express) is connected.
►More discoveries; POV of a late night of The Herta going through the code as her Herta puppets work on other projects of hers behind her, sipping tea, and then seeing something. The Herta calls Screwllum.
➥A meeting is called. A note about the twelve factors/Electronic Signal, and in turn the Chrysos Heirs, each have a specified Path they simulate, but of the paths the Trailblaze, Enigmata, Voracity, Propagation, and Finality are missing from the calculations.
➞Reminder/Recap: Tribios simulates Harmony; Cerydra simulates Order; Cyrene (then March/Evernight when she acquires the Time Coreflame) simulates Remembrance; Terravox (then Dan Heng when he acquired the Earth Coreflame) simulates Permanence; Hysilens simulates Nihility; Hyacine simulates Preservation; Khaslana (Phainon) simulates Destruction; Anaxagoras simulates Erudition; Aglaea simulates Beauty; Mydeimos simulates The Hunt; Castorice simulates Equilibrium; Cifera simulates Elation
➞Theorizing why.
⇒Voracity, Propagation, and Finality seem like they would be obvious as the calculations for searching the Prime Mover of Life were based on Destruction. But its pointed out that Erudition was the original base and Voracity and Finality are definite ends of life. Propagation is an excess of life.
⇒Enigmata neither seems to inhibit or move life. [And im guessing here a little tbh it seems like they should be in it].
⇒Trailblaze is all about moving forward, opening up new paths; it seems like the answer: the “Prime Mover of Life” is Trailblaze. It' lack of presence couldn’t be that its because the Trailblaze ascended after the calculations started as Abundance, Harmony, Remembrance, Nihility, Destruction, Beauty, and The Hunt all ascended after the Trailblaze and they were present in the simulations. Unless there WAS a Trailblaze and it left.
➥Herta states that a ‘train that can warp jump is obviously the Astral Express’.
➞March says: ‘but it was said Akivili didn’t go to Amphoreus’. Screwllum adds: ‘THEY didnt, because it wasnt known as Amphoreus then, we discovered it had an older name – Pegana’.
➞OuraNos360 warp jump signature matches the Express’; The Trailblaze isn’t simulated within the simulation, unlike the initial factors and the later factors incorporated as other Aeon’s ascended, despite being the answer because the Trailblaze was born in it and escaped out of it. (The Herta is also thinking about what Nous says and is getting to it but)—
➥Then its deduced: Pegana was the original simulation under Nous for the “Prime Mover of Life” before Lygus changed it; OuraNos360 created the Astral Express and ascended as Akivili.
➞March turns to Phainon and Mydei, explaining “that means you two are Akivili’s parents! In some way.” But rather than focus on that, Mydei says, “But don't forget what set us on this path.” And nodded his head to where Caelus stood: This all started because Caelus registered as OuraNos360.
➞The Herta looks at Caelus and says ‘sorry little one, but that conversation with Nous? It comes into play for this.’ And The Herta says what happens, using it as another point of evidence: If Caelus registers as OuraNos360, and Nous recognizes Caelus as Akivili, then OuraNos360 is Akivili.
➞Then lays out the next question: For some reason Akivili ‘fell’ and became Caelus. The Herta figures this might have to do with the Stelleron Hunter’s known ally Elio, who they know is working to avoid Finality though its more of a theory; and also Akivili risked falling which would lead other paths to destruction (absence of ‘new horizons’ the Trailblaze creates) by ‘returning’ to Pegana (even if the world was under a different name) as it would constitute as one of the three known ways an Aeon could fall and yet Caelus’ presence was paramount to Amphoreus becoming real and the universe surviving.
➞Because Caelus wasn’t an Aeon anymore at this point, wasn’t Akivili, meant that Caelus couldn't “fall”.
Transformers AU/Summon AU
(Editing in the system) ►First layer of bullet point (1) ➥Second, deeper, indented. (2) ➞Third, even deeper (3). [Yes]
►Inspirations include Megaman Battle Network (how the summon and summoner work in day-to-day), Fate/Type-Moon (summoning and summoning individuals, parameters, and rating), Pokemon (types such as common and legendary, and forms the non-humanoid creates take on), Binary bonding from the canon Transformers (but figures like Targetmasters and Powermasters are summons), Transformers RPG (Parameters and Categories).
➥A general Transformers setting primarily using IDW 2005 and Aligned continuities, but open to other versions. Some time before the Great Cybertronian War between Autobots and Decepticons. The Functionalist Council is in charge, but is slowly losing power to the Senate.
Basic's is that its a Rung isn't Primus, but rather summons' Primus. And I got way into making the background.
I'll talk about the story bits first with the AU info after... just some basic's tho.
I will say, the latin is prob def wrong sorry lmao.
►The system is created by some of the Thirteen (Micronus Prime, Alchemist Prime, Quintus Prime), and the god Epistemus. The rest of the thirteen and guiding hand agreed to the process. Primus in particular was excited at the possibility of being one day summoned themselves. Unicron did not care and just grunted an affirmative when Primus told him about it on behalf of the others.
➥Not invest or opposed, just indifferent. Unicron’s reaction means that the system is not tainted by Unicron’s influence but neither is it protected from it. Leaving room for rare, dangerous, or corrupted Invocavi possibilities.
►Conecto Endura is the term for a summon and summoner bond.
►Vocoarius refers specifically to the summoner. In conversation a transformer is usually only referred to as a Vocoarius when the topic is about an Invocavi or explanative. (Rough Example: “That Invocavi’s Vocoarius is…”, “That bot already is/about to become a Vocoarius …”, “A Vocoarius and Invocavi’s bond is…”).
►Invocavi refers specifically to the summon.
➥What they can be: Creatures or individuals that are categorized in ranks. Creatures are more frequent than summoned individuals. Invocavi can be any size.
►Summon happens: Generally around the time a transformer goes from 2nd frame to 3rd frame though either controlled methods such as a ritual or spontaneously if the transformer has reached the end of the time frame. In essence, every transformer gets a summon, all of them.
➥Sparklings are in 1st frame, younglings in 2nd, Mechs/Femme’s (adult) are in 3rd frame.
For the purposes of the story, the ritual is done in four parts:
➞Act of Commitment = To make a solemn vow or oath.
➞Act of Assertation = A catalyst of sort is presented, might be a specific object tied to an intended Invocavi or the Vocoarius’ exposing their spark which will result in a Incocavi with a good affinity with the Vocoarius (the spark is a normal method to use, mostly for lower classes who can't afford catalysts. Uncommonly you get higher classes that do it fine). Higher classes use spark exposure less often because they have access to catalysts and/or they prefer predictable outcomes.
➞Act of Pneuma = Offering/exposure of the self, this is the most nebulous/least defined one but often involves the “wish” of both parties. Can be completed alongside the Act of Assertation if the Vocoarius’ spark was the catalyst.
➞Act of Foundation = A way to channel the power used to summon the manifestation of the Invocavi. It can be a location on Cybertron or a Prime relic, anything that would channel the power of the Primes or Primus–it could even be the spark (as all sparks originate from Primus, even when sparked into being from a carrier and sire) but this is fatal to anyone that isn’t a Point One Percenter. An application of the Vocoarius’ energon to create a ‘seal’ somewhere on their body.
►Because every transformer gets one no matter what, the Functionalist's can’t regulate who gets a summon or not, so they try to control it by setting up Conecto Endura Day. They do this by taking over, in a way, the Act of Foundation by setting up the Shield of the Guiding Hand as the foundation of the ritual and cultivating the narrative that the Shield of the Guiding Hand is the most pure and intended way to summon an Invocavi; not doing so through the shield or letting it spontaneously happen lead to weaker bonds and Invocavi going insane (this isn’t true but it's the Functionalist's narrative, similar to how they created the narrative of functionalism.)
►On Conecto Endura Day, prospective bots from all layers and classes that have yet to acquire a Invocavi are brought to the Hall of Records, open to the public only during this time. It is a landmark event that's treated as part Debutante/Coming of Age Ceremony for many high-class and elite families (Primus to Solomus day's), part spectacle akin to a momentous game event, and part religious ceremony. It is the most streamed and watched event.
➥The event occurs over 5 days—each named for a member of the Guiding Hand = Primus, Adaptus, Epistemus, Solomus, Mortilus; the order represents the ‘popularity’ and ‘importance’ of the gods by the Functionalists standards (Primus being the ‘creator’ and most beloved and central figure, Adaptus for his gift of ‘transformation and function’, Mortilus being ‘death’ and the most hated of the five). Though Unicron is also a deity, he is treated as the ‘Unmaker’ and ‘Opposite of Primus’ thus a figure to be feared and not spoken of only appearing in swears such as ‘By the Pit’ (A hellish place believed to reside inside Unicron, just as the Allspark resided in Primus). Other events surrounding the gods would also occur during this time during the assigned days.
(For the story right now, the day:) ➞The Day of Adaptus often involved more bots related to those in a high position such as Administrative and Civil Servants, Scientists, Elite Guards, ect. This was also treated similar to the Coming of Age Ceremony, but to not as high in intensity and expense as the Day of Primus.
Story Part 1:
►Rung has parted recently from his Invocavi, a warrior who was tired of the peaceful times and unable to handle the Functionalist's grip. As such, per the Functionalist's laws, Rung has to come to the Hall of Records for the re-summoning. As his previous Invocavi was summoned with his spear (that he no longer wields in these times) Rung decides to offer his spark as the catalyst to get someone who has the most affinity with him.
➥Rung's wish is simple, to understand himself and what he is.
➥Ratchet, who's a higher class, he decided will present Rung as his 'sponsor', even if the Debutante/Coming of Age Ceremony didn't quite apply to a bot as old as Rung (older than Ratchet and Kup) and Day of Adaptus' was less intense than the day before. Ratchet has always been protective of Rung and feels that using his higher status will 'for once come in useful' in backing Rung.
►Showing the Day of Adaptus as Rung, Ratchet, and Kup walk through on their way to the Hall.
➥A scene leading up to Rung entering the Hall of Records. Rung is friends with Kup (a turbofox-esc summon that turns into a gun) and Ratchet (a small floating medical drone-like Invocavi that represents both healer and party animal side, like a hovering assistant with expressive lights, Raff helps with testing systems and running diagnostics, they also can lessen pain and help healing).
►A few moments of other bots doing the ritual. Then Rung's turn, Ratchet walking first and then saying he’s here to sponsor for ‘Rung of the Pious Pools’. Rung walking up…
►Rung steps up, speaks an oath ("I offer not what I have, but what I am.") and bears his spark (both catalyst and offering of self), and a shock wave of light and pressure expands out in all directions from the Shield; bots brace, some of the Functionalist Council lean over the balcony.
➥Rung sees a vision, bits and pieces (Primus’ memory of the Thirteen [Micronus Prime, Alchemist Prime, Quintus Prime], and the god Epistemus coming to Him and the other thirteen and gods about the Conecto Endura ritual and bond). A voice, delighted and excited, speaks in his mind, “Is it my turn finally?” Primus responds to Rung’s call.
➥As optics adjust, first is seen the gentle hand reaching up as though to catch the fading light. The figure is floating and is gently settling to the ground as the light dissipates. The figure, the Invocavi Rung summoned, was luminous even then and was looking upwards before turning their attention to Rung and smiled; seemingly understanding Rung at his best.
➥Rung was surprised, Individual-type Invocavi were much rarer than the Creature-type. That Rung once had that warrior the first time was already surprise enough, and now this new summon was also an Individual-type?
►Primus stepped forward at the edge of the shield, Rung before it and the spectators around beyond a slight perimeter, saying the phrase that many Invocavi do — “I ask you, are you the one who summoned me?” Rung nods then realizes he should offer his name, “I am Rung, I wish to understand myself.” (Rung didn't need to say the wish as it was technically already in the oath and the offering/exposure of the self was covered via the spark exposure, but.)
➥Primus’ smile became wider, happier, “Mm, that seems to align with my wish.” Primus puts a servo over his spark (visible through a spark glass like Rung’s was to Rung’s shock) as he steps off the shield, slightly floating down, and steps up to Rung. Primus’ voice was neither deep or high pitched, it did not shout but it had presence, it was a voice you could hear from anyone and did not show the booming divinity most would expect.
➥It was utterly incongruous with the symbols Rung could now see etched into the summons's optics at this close range; combined with the words next spoken, “I am Primus. I want to see the world, to taste love and pain, to own every second that this world could give and to truly live.” Then Primus seemed to smile, mischievous - though Primus might not know much of the modern world in practice, Primus’ spark is the Allspark where all sparks go to at the end of their lives along with all the experiences those sparks went through in life. So when he says the next bit, he’s being slightly teasing, “I accept you as my master–” Primus let that ‘Master’ tease, both a subservience and crude joke in one, sit before continuing as though he genuinely made a mistake, “Ah you all call it Vocoarius, yes?”
➥Rung was a quiet bot largely discarded by the world and who’s greatest contribution was listening to the unsaid (a psychiatrist); Rung's wish was simple, and so he bore his spark to get an Invocavi that aligned most with and got this god who wants to experience the full spectrum of existence.
►Rung feeling his life suddenly upended, Primus humming happily as he took Rung's hand and nearly dropped all formalities.
➥Rung could hear Ratchets spluttering and Kup's laughter (the aft, Rung thought with utmost fondness), Rung could hear the sudden thunderous roar of everyone talking loudly at once, Rung looked up and he could see the twelve council members almost fearful and angry (good Rung thought somewhat vindictively).
➥Primus, however, made it a tad difficult to get swept up in any fear all that noise gave Rung–that grabbing of the hand earlier now seemed like Primus realizing Rung was starting to get scared and silently promising it would be alright.
➥Primus asking Rung what it is they do next and Rung says “Ah–we get your parameter’s read…” And he gestures to the side where the official that scanned and registered parameters once bored'ly stood, now stunned. Primus nodded and grabbed Rung’s hand as he walked toward the official/register.
►When they reached the Authenticator, the bot tried to bow and commented that he wasn’t worthy, but Primus said ‘none of that please, you have a job to do and I’m very curious to see how you do it.’
➥Primus asking questions on how it worked, what it would be like, and so on. Rung watched the Authenticator and eventually stepped in, “Primus,” Rung said softly. Primus stopped the questions and noticed the official was barely venting [Primus’ curiosity, the questions (and a god asking questions when he should be so sure, yes?)]. With a slight cough Primus apologized and ‘please proceed’. The official looked toward Rung, and Rung was like ‘he is serious, he wants to be registered.’ The official spurred into attempting normalcy in front of The Creator.
➥The stats appeared on a screen behind the shield, as it did with every other (a way for the council to establish the classism/functionalism by showing stat superiority and "compatibility" to the summoners class). [And I like the visual/idea]
➥Primus parameter’s seemed a little low for a god: C Strength, EX Constitution, A Agility, B Smarts, B Wisdom, B Luck. [Parameter's going on an E to A range, with an out of this world EX rank].
➥Various whispers from those around at seeing the stats.
➞Primus musing and talking about the stats as he heard the whispers, in a way inviting conversation.
➞Strength: “my power lies more in creation, not how hard I can hit, though Micronus said I had a rather mean backhand; whatever that means.” And “When I’m folded down into this delightful little shape I don’t quite have the strength of my planetary form.” Someone in the back muttered ‘rather mean backhand?’
➞Rung comments that of all the stats, Constitution is the highest: “Well its not like I can die, though many have tried. Mostly when I annoyed someone.” A few people seemed confused and many taken aback, Kup for his part seemed curious.
➞Agility: “I can fly. Being untethered from the ground makes one very nimble.” And Primus demonstrated by hovering a bit.
➞Rung asked, his professional curiosity getting the better of him; Smarts, Wisdom: “Haha, thats fair. I’ve always been a bit too prone to believing the best of everyone. It makes me rather easy to manipulate, I’m told.” It wasn’t self-degrading, just an honest understanding of the self.
➞Luck: “Is that good?” Rung can’t help but smile and comment that its better than average.
➥Primus thanking the register afterwards in a way that made the bot feel weirdly pleased. Rung finally felt that the bond via spark-catalyst (a good affinity) fit this time–Primus truly saw others, never diminished himself or others and had an eagerness there that bordered on reverence for the mundane; it was all things Rung cherished and attempted himself.
➞Primus asked Rung what next, and Rung said that there were still many who had yet to do the summoning and it was protocol to wait until all were done. Primus commented that that sounded fun, to watch the process from within the room rather than the memories from sparks.
➞Primus gave a farewell wave to the Authenticator; and seeing the creator give a wave like a tourist seemed to be the last straw as One-of-Twelve actually sat down.
➥Kup laughed, already endeared and ready to protect this god that asked questions, never looked down on others, grabbed other’s hands when they’re worried or to simply join him; reminded him a bit of new soldiers he would train and mentor.
►Rung quickly learned–within the span of a single afternoon as they waited in the Hall of Records–that Primus was inherently a disarming individual (Rung could feel the weight of not only the Functionalist Council that continued to watch from above and the cameras that once were focused on the procession now mostly centered on Primus. Kup, however, was enjoying following Primus around and keeping people from getting handsy or asking something weird [“Creator of all life, and he’s got less situational awareness than a fresh cadet. I love him already.”]) including, but not limited too:
➥Primus never fully sat still, he was always looking around, watching, and asking questions not fully caring that he was their species creator and the one’s who body they lived upon as he asked someone nearby ‘what sort of creation is that’, or ‘did you make this? Amazing! Tell me more!’ Primus asked everyone questions, even those overlooked—maintenance workers, junior clerks, aides—found themselves abruptly and wholeheartedly engaged by the Creator himself, who listened with rapt attention and asked follow-up questions that revealed not ignorance but interest.
➞Rung wonder, briefly, if Primus was neurodivergent but figured attempting to psychoanalyze his Invocavi was probably not proper… but as he saw Primus’ optics drift again and tap a rhythm on his hip-plate, Rung thought he should acquire some fidget tools at the least.
➥When someone invariably asked Primus about some theological question—Primus’ answers were not some grand plan but more along the lines of ‘sometimes it worked, sometimes it exploded’; Primus was very honest that sometimes he just did things just cause, even transformation (‘it seemed lovely to be able to alter ones form as they wished’).
➞Ratchet, standing next to Rung, says that Primus is going to start a civil war by the end of the day and he’s going to have to deal with the casualties.
➥Someone asked Primus about Unicron; Primus seems a little unsure what to say, but comments that Unicron could be quite stubborn, and during an argument Primus said Unicron could shove it up his— finger’s about to gesture something crude before Primus stopped himself with a ‘Wait Unicron said I should say things like that’, ‘...like what’, ‘Unicron said it wasn’t things one talked about in public company’.
➞No one was fully sure if Primus himself making a crude joke was more strange than the knowledge that apparently Unicron (god of chaos, embodiment of destruction, opposer to Primus) understands social conventions better than many bots, and that Unicron and Primus were apparently not only friendly but on and off lovers.
➞Someone said, more than asked, 'that Primus talked to Unicron?' Primus commented that after a few billion years it’s hard to stay angry at someone and eventually you just argue about the thermostat.
➞Someone, braver than himself Rung thought, asked Primus how the God of Destruction knew what was appropriate in public conversation and why he and Primus were even talking about that. Primus commented that Unicron is much better at that than Primus, Unicron likes rules ironically, and finds Primus’ spontaneity exhausting.
➞Primus continued – and no one was prepared for an equivalent of ‘we were having pillow talk’ about one conversation Primus had with Unicron: Primus talking about how before Unicron set off again, while they were in bed, Primus told Unicron of a strange conversation Primus had with this species off a few galaxies away and Unicron told Primus that it was because the thing Primus said was inappropriate; and in that moment Unicron seemed ‘just as tired as Ratchet looks right now’.
➞Ratchet indeed suddenly looked very tired and was currently pinching his nasal ridge with such force that Rung was worried he might leave a permanent dent.
➞Rung too was starting to feel that (though he feels Ratchet's exhaustion was more akin to a sire or carrier about their youngling)… apparently Unicron and Primus were lovers, which went against every understanding of the god war; Primus then left it at calling Unicron grumpy in the mornings and good in bed (‘my legs never felt right after in a good way’), and what was Rung to do now with the knowledge the God of Chaos (Unicron) is good a interfacing?
➥Primus asked Rung what people usually asked about him, but found Rung’s answer—doctrinal, creation myths, theological debates—‘tiring’. Why talk about what he did five billion years ago when they can focus on the now?
➥And when Primus would kneel down cause he saw a youngling everyone else missed crying in a corner but somehow about a groon later would be beaming at the idea to try something dangerous as hoverboarding through and over cliffs as he somehow got into a conversation with some delinquents that probably shouldn’t have been there (and Primus didn’t act any differently with).
➥In essence, Primus didn’t apply to anyone’s perception of what he would be (consistently insisting that people stop using ‘Lord’ or something reverent and just call him Primus, and even seemed annoyed at something like a church; he’s the floor [Planet] why have a whole building?) Primus only attempted to act to that perception when he recognized a bot’s belief as a foundation and pillar (never disregarding someone).
►As they left the Hall of Records, Rung and Primus, Ratchet and Raff, Kup and his Invocavi turbofox ‘Bullet’, wandered the streets as Primus wanted to see the parades that ‘celebrated that stick in the mud Adaptus’.
➥Rung also saw Primus’ slowly mounting anger with the Functionalist the more Primus asked things no-one did in fear of the Functionalist Council or belief in the Council’s word; ‘what do you do?’, ‘why do you do it?’, ‘...Rung, why are so many smaller bots ignored?’ (referring to the disposable class). And a firm, ‘Mortilus is a kind bot, don’t speak hatefully toward someone who does not deserve it.’
➥Ratchet was the most forward with Primus as Ratchet never had worshiped the god, even barely believed in Primus’ existence half the time.
➥At some point, Rung acquired a fidget spinner for Primus that has not left the gods hand.
➥Primus also talked with everyone with the same respect, as a stranger meeting someone new for the first time (Primus’ didn’t even realize the caste system was a thing for a while). He only adjusted his tone more respectfully if he saw them as such (like Ratchet who Primus would listen too and consider both for how upfront the medic was and that Ratchet was a medic), or less respectively if he found the person not deserving it. Even the disposable class, speaking to them the same as everyone else and bending to their height if was someone who transformed into a Memory Stick and the bot was projecting something – Primus would ask that bot directly what they thought and ‘whats your favorite thing to record’; in essence, Primus did not care what alt-mode someone had and that was the most quietly devastating thing he could have done, more than even bonding to Rung with his unclassifiable alt-mode (the Functionalist could spin Rung’s alt-mode as something connective to Primus, they could not do that to Primus asking a construction bot ‘why/how do you do that?’).
➥Primus asked to see more of the lower areas.
(Bit of a pov switch) ►Ratchet and Kup’s reactions throughout – from walking Rung into the Hall of Records to now.
➥Primus says he gave people the power to change, so they can be whatever they wanted, why are so many of them hurting? Ratchet said its because the world Primus left isn’t the one they live in, Primus has been a legend for so long that people stopped thinking of Primus as a person and turned Primus into a system and systems don't have empathy.
➥And when Ratchet tells Primus honestly that he’s allowed to by angry, to be afraid, to not know what to do – Primus looked at him like he never heard that before. Ratchet adds that Primus has only been summoned for a little bit and is dealing with the systematic collapse in the span of time that everyone else would be just figuring out their own transformation sequence without pinching a line. The others join in as well; Kup points out that even though Primus is The Bot, Primus is still just one bot.
➥Primus comments, quiet and a little overwhelmed from everything, that Ratchet doesn’t worship him at all; Ratchet laughs and says no, but that right now Primus is a patient with a massive sensory overload.
(Another POV switch) ►The Council’s reactions throughout the summoning day, Primus' summoning, and the following relentless questions.
►Down below, Primus walks through. Kup brings them to Maccadam's Old Oil House, saying its the best place to just talk to anyone (because of Maccadam’s rules), and jokes about a theory of Maccadam being one of the 13 Primes. Primus is sitting at the bar, observing.
➥Maccadam comes behind and sets down a drink; Primus isn’t sure if he’s in the mood for that as his gaze lowers to the fidget that he’s only nudging.
➞Maccadam was excited to see Primus and happy that his carrier got his wish of being summoned, knowing how excited Primus was at the idea even if Maccadam sire, Unicron, seemed indifferent and only listening because it was Primus as usual.
➥Maccadam wasn’t surprised nor was he in a rush; he and his siblings, the other primes of the original 13, and most of all Unicron, all knew that Primus sometimes needed more time to think and process his feelings and that he didn’t quite get social cues (though Primus always tried really hard for them all). Primus loved his children, and always tried to ‘make up’ for any shortcomings though none of them blamed him. Unicron had the most patience when it came to Primus though, and always seemed to know what Primus needed – and vice versa.
➞Unicron has been portrayed as the opposer and eternal enemy of Primus, a relentless evil that consumes everything. But to Primus, Unicron is both his greatest adversary and most intimate companion. They are opposites, yet inseparable—creation and destruction, order and chaos, lovers and rivals. Unicron truly loves Primus and vice versa, and their battles are as much about passion and longing as they are about cosmic balance.
➞Unicron is never ashamed of his nature, nor does he fear it; he accepts that his hunger is as essential as Primus’ light. Unicron is respected and feared by all who know of him, but he is fundamentally alone, set apart by his power and his nature. Only Primus truly understands him, and only Primus can match him in love and conflict.
➥Maccadam leans on the table and gives some advice. Primus looks up and lightens up, the theory was true and Maccadam was one of the 13 Primes (Alchemist Prime); Primus excited to see his child.
➥Primus is asked why he was silent for so long as he sat in a bar in the lower levels, invited by the bots inside when he walked by. Primus said that just before he became Cybertron, Unicron wasn’t happy when Primus told Unicron of his choice, that Unicron (angry and distressed with his love for Primus and understanding how a species can ruin its own homeworld as a god of destruction) told Primus that Primus ‘would get taken advantage of and ruined’... they fought over it for eons, they loved each other for eons – they even had their 13 sparklings (the 13 primes) then. Primus fighting for the right to create, the right for the transformers to live and trusting them.
➞They reached a stalemate, Unicron said he would not give in but would wait for Primus at the end of time (resignation). For an unknown amount of time they simply held each other, then parted; ‘I promise you Unicron, even if what you say comes to pass, I will see you then… I promise my love even then.'
➞The fight left Primus tired in the end (the fight, creating life) so Primus went into stasis; Primus can sense Unicron through their Conjux bond and feels Unicron's guilt (Unicron feeling partially responsible for tiring Primus out, that Primus being tired made Primus susceptible and unable to defend himself) and anger.
►Primus and Rung splitting off from the others and returning back upwards to Rung’s apartment. Primus wanting to still see more but feeling tired and Rung offers him the other room that once belonged to his previous Invocavi and nervously promises they can adjust it however. Primus took that in like he has for everything else, and said ‘that can wait until sunrise when we aren’t feeling the pain of all that walking in our peds, haha.’ Primus laughed, but he seemed… sad. Rung asked if Primus wanted to stay with him in his room for the night and Rung feels like he shouldn’t be surprised that Primus nodded yes (Primus has already shown to be open to touch [only holding back if another didn’t want it or Primus felt overwhelmed], seeking out connections, and admitted to simply finding comfort either in battle or love with Unicron).
➥Primus snuggled into Rung’s arms, unsure what to do with what he’s come to understand about the Functionalist—sad and angry at what they’ve done, that they did it under his name, guilty for not doing anything sooner, and fearful that he can’t do anything.
➥Rung held this god who felt that even himself wasn’t enough. Primus was older than Cybertron, than many galaxies and planets and even made the universe. Rung couldn’t help but want to cherish this trust and help.
(POV switch) ➥As Primus goes into stasis, Rung finally processing the whole day in its entirety – since Primus arrived, Rung hadn’t fully taken a moment for himself. Rung was expecting a creature Invocavi (feared that when he bared his spark, the summon would prove the Council right about every bad thing they’ve said about Rung) and certainly not a god.
➞Rung’s wish was for some reason Primus considered that the same (aligned with, Primus said then); yet to Rung, Primus wish and how Primus has acted (so sure of themselves and never self-deprecating until this night after seeing what the Council had done) sounded like Primus already understood himself.
➞Rung thought about how Primus never once asked about the false wheel, the cumbersome pack that the Council had forced upon him, and what that might mean – maybe Primus didn’t realize it was something not chosen by Rung, or that it wasn’t a part of Rung. Either way, Primus saw Rung, and didn’t see someone that didn’t fit or needed to be changed.
►The rising Decepticon movement within the lower caste and anyone else dissatisfied, learning through their networks, and the knowledge that even Primus 'hated' what the world has become. They did not rally behind him, they did not treat him like the Council did, but they took advantage that Primus asked the same questions they did, 'who told you what you could be?'
➥Megatron, once forced to be a miner, a rising gladiator in the pits, and now leader of the growing Decepticon movement.
➥Megatron sees Primus: Primus is overwhelmed. He is confused. He is a creature of an ancient era dropped into a smelting pit of his own making. He has the power to shatter star systems, yet he sits in a back-alley oil house, trembling from the noise of his own creation. He is not a general. He is not a warlord. He is a poet who didn't realize that his words would be used to forge chains.
➥They did not love Primus. They did not care about his ancient romance with the God of Chaos, nor his struggles with the modern world. To them, he was a massive, golden boulder dropped into the stagnant pond of their oppression, and they were going to ride the tidal wave he created straight to the gates of the High Council.
Story Part 2:
►Primus continues to go about his days – Primus working at Ratchet’s clinic with Rung. Since Primus doesn't know anything about helping someone with mental health in a professional manner, a little bit against the usual of what the summons did for the summoner, he’s been following Ratchet as a nurse/maker of parts Ratchet needs.
➥Ratchet appreciates it, but seeing Primus make something out of thin air gives him a profound sense of exhaustion.
➞Ratchet understood, intellectually, that Primus had made their species, that he knew Cybertronian anatomy on a level that transcended specialization. That did not make watching him do it any less exhausting. “Every time you do that,” Ratchet muttered once, rubbing his nasal ridge as Primus handed him a newly formed vent regulator, “I feel like I need a nap and a stiff drink.”
➥Orion Pax came by to visit his friend Ratchet and got a wrench thrown at him after he joked about Ratchet coming off a bit like a sire to Primus. The wrench embedded itself into the wall behind him, Primus and Orion alike felt a tinge of fear.
➞Though Orion was also confused why Primus was interested in him, confused but also encouraged (Primus noticing Orion’s Prime potential aka Orion Pax one day becoming Optimus Prime). Not that it stopped the two from becoming friendly, Ratchet was convinced the two were conniving against him.
➥None of the patients quite knew how to handle Primus being there, though when he promised a carrier he wouldn’t let her or her sparkling die in labor (using his power to support their life energies – it was the first time most truly felt the divinity that Primus was).
➞The younglings love Primus and thought he was like a fun big brother (who told them stories and let them climb on him and would fly with them).
➞Sparklings always calmed in his arms.
➞When he would create a new part for a construction bot with the same care and quality as a senator (the fact that Primus even went with Ratchet for his bi-Megacycle rounds in the lower levels that didn’t get the kind of care the high class bots would get).
►More days at the clinic and walking around, slice-of-life.
➥Primus meeting Hot Rod, one of the delinquents he met before, to take up their offer to try hoverboarding. (Primus also recognizes Prime potential in Hot Rod [Rodimus Prime] but is less open about his interest after Orion seemed very uncomfortable).
➥Rung thought, a little unhinged for a moment, that Primus must have split his spark in two and one half reincarnated into Hot Rod. The two were simply way too similar (even if Hot Rod didn’t have the book smarts Primus did). [Joke a bit about the early toy.]
➥Kup taking Primus around and under his ‘wing’. And introducing Primus to some of his other "bitlets" (nickname for his students) Prowl, Sideswipe and Sunstreaker, Blurr, and Arcee.
➥Sometimes Primus being tired and going into the seal. And sometimes Rung and Primus feeling each other through the bond; once Primus slipped his control in his anger and Rung felt the sheer vastness of Primus’ presence–not the small avatar as he was now, but the divine scale–Primus immediately realized and was very frantic over Rung. Rung gathered the crying Primus into his arms.
►Hot Rod and Primus getting close (very early romantic).
➥Rung feeling across the bond about Primus growing love (Rung realizing first, being the observer and through the Conecto Endura bond he has with Primus; Primus wrapped up in the moment). Galaxies away, Unicron catalogs his lover’s growing feelings for another with the same solemness he treats everything and the same care he holds for Primus (Primus may be falling for Hot Rod, but Primus and Unicron’s love for each other are still there) .
➥Hot Rod offers to take Primus on a ride on the hoverboard (‘just make sure to hold on’ Hot Rod tells Primus and immediately concludes he’s over his helm for once when Primus’ arms going around him from behind to hold on made his spark stutter. Primus also got a little quiet [and across the way from where Rung watched, Rung felt the echo of Primus’ spark stuttering and sense of pleased/embarrassed/want.])
➥Rung gently asking/encouraging Primus to realize his feelings. Primus silent for a moment (‘I need to talk to Unicron first’).
➥Privately, Primus inquired through his Conjux bond to Unicron about Hot Rod. (Feelings of acceptance [I don’t mind], curiosity [who could catch your attention so thoroughly so fast, I had to work much harder], and patience [I say what I mean, I will wait for you at the end]).
►Hot Rod, despite being a grown Mech, had yet to get an Invocavi and he wasn’t sure what to do about that. He knew his time limit was almost up and at first he didn’t want to buy into the scrap that the Council was giving, Hot Rod wanted the bond to happen when it happened whether it was some random moment, grand moment, or the end of the limit… but now he wasn’t sure if he could handle an Invocavi that wasn’t Primus (and yet Primus was Rung’s Invocavi).
➥Simultaneously, Hot Rod, via Primus dragging him with, ended up with Kup and the old mechs “bitlets” as a student despite initially only coming to hang out with Primus. But Kup said ‘you got promise, kid’ and started giving him commands/training him.
➥Primus and Hot Rod talking: Hot Rod talks about what his plans for an Invocavi were but now he is afraid of what it will be. He laughs it off by saying it's sad that Primus couldn’t be his – then stutters and tries to backtrack because of the double meaning (his Invocavi vs his as a lover). Primus is a little red, but also pleased.
➥Primus is still hesitant to tell Hot Rod about the Prime potential or at least show such interest, so Primus instead tells Hot Rod that whatever Invocavi Hot Rod gets, even though it wont be Primus, it will be one that will certainly resonate a new hope for the world (saying Prime potential without naming it). Going back to Hot Rod’s bluster at the accidental double meaning earlier, Primus takes a chance (that Hot Rod was so flustered and panicked because Hot Rod might feel that way – Primus isn’t blind to Hot Rod being someone who doesn’t like to show too much of himself and is uncertain about himself), and tells Hot Rod of his discussion with Unicron (essentially I like you and my cosmic other half wouldn’t be mad).
►Primus making his way to the lower levels. He wants to see, wants to learn. Primus’ asks questions and has over time learned of the growing rebellion (Decepticons).
➥Primus recognizing Megatron's name being similar to Megatronus' and what that might mean - worry (because of Megatronus' fall), but also amusement (his most intense bitlet would probably like Megatron, both before and after their fall).
➥Megatron’s internal reaction to seeing Primus.
►Primus arriving back home to Rung. Primus conversed with Megatron, stood with the others during the speeches and the gladiatorial pits; but that isn't shown. Whats shown is Primus returning home, and Rung quietly worried.
Ways the story could go?
►I'm thinking of something that combines the eases into Transformers Prime, the things that happen on earth of Transformers Prime such as Jack Darby, Miko, and Raph, Fowler, and June Darby and its events. IDW2005 many of the more detailed world building elements (minus Optimus taking more inspo from Transformers Prime) and characters joining the Autobot team on earth (maybe at some point the Lost Light, changed to be a thing earlier in the timeline, that has Hot Rod [not Rodimus yet], Ultra Magnus, Rung, etc except Megatron [still Decepticon leader] and Ratchet [with the earth team]). Then the changes to Unicron’s character and not having him be the Earth (as his and Primus’ fight wouldn’t have gotten to that point) – maybe instead remnants of the Maximals and Predicon’s presence reappearing in dangerous ways (Beast Wars).
➥The Lost Lights goal is dealing with threats against the universe (be that remnant decepticons that did not follow Megatron to earth or otherwise) and searching for means to restore Cybertron – this is why they arrive to earth, they don’t know where the artifacts are, just that there are some that might help their goal (but they are only aware that Aloha Trion sent something but not what or how many).
➞Hot Rod Summon: The Star Saber - a sword that stays by his side at all times. (I have a few idea's for others, but not really concrete).
►When The Lost Light arrives, Team Prime and the Nemesis register a cybertronian ship signature (The Lost Light) – but it's a blip (blink and you miss it) as the ship's shields divert from cloaking to briefly deal with the descent from space into Earth's atmosphere. Both sides converge onto an assumed landing location based on the location of the last signature beep – because it was brief no one knows what side the ship is yet.
➥Both sides arrive to the estimated landing point, but find no ship – but after a bit they find each other. In the midst of the battle the Lost Light (all 15 miles in length and 10 miles wide in size full of roughly ~100 bots) descends from above them. Everyone scatters to make way for the ship's sheer size, too large to stop its descent. Arcee, Bulkhead, and Bumblebee raise their weapons but Optimus gestures to them to wait. On the other side, Megatron stands firm as he watches and the drones and Starscream shuffle behind him. The landing hatch/gangplank descends and lands heavily on the earth, kicking up dust.
➥The Lost Light crew stepped out (Hot Rod first with Ultra Magnus and Drift behind him.) Introducing themselves - excitement from some of the Autobots and Humans at the sight of allies (when Optimus informs Ratchet over the coms the ship was the Lost Light, Ratchet recognized that as the one Rung was on). In the midst of that Lost Light flavor and tension between Autobots and Decepticons, guns out and pointing, Primus walks down the gangplank - Megatron recognizes them as Primus (the conversation before the war), the matrix inside Optimus recognizes the spark, though most don't realize cause not all of them seen Primus despite the 5 million war.
========
Rest of the AU info, tho not adding the parameter's I etched out cause its too long and a little reptative.
►Conecto Endura
➥To have a Conecto Endura bond has been often compared to a Conjux Endra bond both for the similar level of intimacy/connection to someone and the means of which a Invocavi and Vocoarius officiate their bond as summon and summoner. They are partners in a non-romantic sense (although its not unheard of for a summoner and a historical or mythic individual summon to become romantic).
➥Bond: A Vocoarius only gets one Invocavi their whole life. A Vocoarius and Invocavi can choose to break their bond, with no problems as long as its mutual, and the Vocoarius can re-summon a new Invocavi.
➞A bond broken by one side will leave a ‘scar’ on the spark; they can re-summon but future bondings will be more difficult.
➞In the case of force by a third party against both Vocoarius’ and Invocavi’s consent will leave debilitating damage on both parties.
➞Share a deep mental connection, sometimes both can see visions of each other's pasts in the form of dreams.
➞No resonance or emotional stuff.
➥A Vocoarius has a seal somewhere on their body that represtents their contract with their Invocavi, created out of their energon upon summoning and creating a Conecto Endura bond. Channeling some of their spark energy will bring forth the Invocavi to the Vocoarius’ location.
➞An Invocavi can ‘return’ to the seal when they tire out, took too much damage, or simply choose too. The returning means their body 'dissolving' and disappearing into the seal space, no longer physically present in the world.
►Invocavi refers specifically to the summon.
➥What they can be: Creatures or individuals that are categorized in ranks. Creatures are more frequent than summoned individuals. Invocavi can be any size, human to titan, not just human-sized.
➞Bodies: Because the ritual is powered by Primus (Creation) and Quintus Prime (his artifact the Emberstone), the summon’s bodies created are fully physical although they do not require the same energy intake (such as energon) as energy can be recovered through sleeping. The bodies are more hardy, within limit, but suffer the same radiation effects as non-summoned life.
➞Creatures: Non-historical being’s unlike Transformers, some have bipedal-forms, but some are quadrupedal, or float. Some are mechanical or biological. Generally non-sapient to semi-sapience.
⇒They take on many shapes and sizes, resembling mythological or folklore creatures and living creatures. While most resemble animals and may behave like them, there are many that do not resemble animals at all, taking on other forms such as plants, inanimate objects, machines, humanoid forms, or other more enigmatic and exotic appearances. However, they possess several fantastic powers not demonstrated by most real creatures, including the manipulation of aspects of the material world such as electricity or fire.
⇒Some have the ability to speak cybertronian and have the ability to learn other languages like any other Transformer, though most are shown to only use noises related to what they are (beeps for machines, growls for animals). Though as a whole they seem to be able to mostly understand language and commands.
➞Individuals: These are historical or mythological individuals from history or myth. They are basically the individual directly from history or myth as though revived, although whether one could consider it a revival or not is up to the debate of philosophers.
⇒Characteristics: The summoned versions are avatars of the individual, often long after the individual’s death if they were a historical figure (a future individual or one still living is practically unheard of), taking the form that represents them at the prime of their lives though effects like those of a strong curse or a personal attachment to the form can change that to even their selves from just before death. There can be multiple ‘prime of their lives’.
⇒Memories: Summoned individuals hold the entirety of their lives in their memory – though their personality would represent the time of life they were summoned in. To prevent mental conflicts, if summoned again, the individual doesn’t retain memories of past summonings unless there is an exception such as being classified as ‘still living’ even when dead or having an ability that allows the individual to see into other worlds and time or such.
➥What they do: Primarily an assistant or partner in something with the Vocoarius depending on the transformers’ occupation such as administrative functions, defense, battle, or boosting the bots’ abilities (Powermasters in this AU are this type), etc.
➥Ranks relate to effectiveness, overall parameters, mastery, and breadth of abilities. From most common to least:
➞Creatures follow a lettered ranking system: C (Common) → R (Rare) → SR (Super Rare) → SSR (Super Super Rare) → UR (Ultra Rare)
➞Historical or mythological individuals follow a numbered star system: 2★ to 6★
➞Why: Creatures exist as species and variants. Individuals exist as historical or mythological figures.
➥Parameters:
➞There are 6 parameters, all but luck have categories/specialization. The categories below the parameter collectively count up to the parameter as a whole (Example: Both Athletics and Might affect the Strength Parameter, but not other Parameter’s), but it doesn’t mean the Invocavi excels in all categories at once (Example: An Invocavi with a high rating in Agility might be good in Acrobatics and Finesse, but not Driving or Infiltration). If the Invocavi has magic, it rates between Smarts (how much they know) and Wisdom (how well they can do it).
➞The Parameters all go from E to A and EX. Parameters can have ‘-’ or ‘+’ to ‘+++’.
➥Skills are the embodiment of a Invocavi’s various abilities and characteristics–for Individuals they reflect the abilities they had in life and their personal legends, although as they are not strictly symbols of the Individual there are many cases of Invocavi’s having the same Skill.
➥Most Invocavi’s will only possess one Ultimate, while those who sometimes obtain two or three would normally be the absolute limit.
Functionalist's / Conecto Endura Day:
►Because every transformer gets one no matter what...
➥The Shield of the Guiding Hand is installed in the center of the main hall. It was, in essence, a round table that the Guiding hand came together to meet and thus is hailed as a place “where heroes gathered” and a powerful Foundation for the ritual.
►On Conecto Endura Day...
➞The Day of Primus was the most spectacular. It was the opening day of the 5-day event, and when the first (and higher class of bots) would both be presented to society at large and become Vocoarius’. Elite family galas and sponsorship feasts.
➞The Day of Adaptus was when the Functionalist Council had their biggest sweep of propaganda for Functionalism. A large parade swept through Iacon and the larger cities had their own; such as Tarn, Harmonex, Crystal City, Praxus, and Polyhex (Praxus, as a city that had many Merchants and Traders, tended to be the biggest and also brand-related). Apprenticeship announcements occurred primarily during this time.
➞The Day of Epistemus and Solomus did various Trade Shows such as Technology and Healthcare. The Day of Epistemus had open-access research halls. The Day of Solomus had public training demonstrations by military and law enforcement, open barracks and meet-the-guard events, and group feasts in communal plazas.
➞The Day of Mortilus was the most solemn and often a day of remembrance for the passed. Although many places, hidden from view of the Functionalist, had vibrant street scenes of art galleries, street vendors, live music, and food trucks celebrating life.
➥The Functionalist Council gather in front of everyone during the Day of Primus and The Day of Adaptus. They would be standing on a balcony that overlooks the main hall. They give a speech during this time enforcing the idea of the functionalist ideology, ‘encouraging’ the bots, etc.
➞The big opening event where bots part of high-class and elite families would be presented as well as participate in the ritual:
⇒Since on the Day of Primus the event is treated akin to a Coming of Age Ceremony – those who were to be presented required a former debutante to apply on their behalf for permission. The recommendations were often done by the bots Carrier and/or Sire or Mentor. On the day of the court presentation, the debutante and their sponsor would be announced, the debutante would curtsy or bow to the Statue of Primus and proceed with the Ritual. The Invocavi and Vocoarius would then leave to the Vocoarius’ sponsor’s side.
⇒A court dress would be worn; often sashes, veils, capes and/or dress-trains attached via magnetics or clip onto the bot. The common colors were ivory, gold, or blue. The bot would also wear lysken crystal pearls, or jewellery that belonged to the family.
⇒High class = Senators, Polity Leaders, Ambassadors, "Chief Enforcers", etc.
➞The Day of Adaptus often involved more bots related to those in a high position such as Administrative and Civil Servants, Scientists, Elite Guards, ect. This was also treated similar to the Coming of Age Ceremony, but to not as high an intensity and expense.
➥The Day of Epistemus and Solomus both handled bots related to a bot in the military/law enforcement and middle class bots (those with more "generalist", non-specialized alt-modes with jobs like Racers, Civil Engineers, Teachers, etc). It would be still streamed but by smaller networks and the Council stopped having their speeches. More akin to a Promenade Dance and much more relaxed and fun for the to be Vocoarius’.
➥The Day of Mortilus was the last day and where the lowest classes were herded forth, such as those in the disposable class or manual labor class or beast class. This was no longer streamed and was just done to get over with.
I've only read JttW and the PotA/Aliens/Predator comic so far. I'll likely update this after reading the others.
The JttW one was cute, I'm still early on in the book but the comic references an encounter I do know comes later in the chapters so it might be based on an actual trial. The art was very unique and cute though Wukong's eyes unnerved me a little - they are kinda wide nearly the whole time.
The Aliens felt a little super-hero-y but Im curious on it.
The Predator focused part was my favorite and got a genuine shiver out of me.
The PotA I wasn't sure what continuity it was going with at first and it was more open ended but it did make me wonder at the end.
Edit: Read the Megaman one. It was very fast - not incomprehensible but it felt like there could have been a page or two more. I like the use of the pink lines for the Navi world (Cause there was BattleNetwork in the back half).
Edit 2: I have now read the Sonic one. And I gotta say this one most of all made me wanna buy the other issues - a collection on top of that so I can read at least an arc. Im semi familiar with Ian's work - I played Frontiers and I've read some of his Archie run (pun). I haven't finished reading that run yet so I haven't seen too much of it or the IDW runs - but Im very excited. Sonic and Tails are so cute with their relationship, it is everything... I also didn't feel that confused even though I'm not aware of some of the things it mentions (in part it was left mostly vague and I don't think you have to be tha familiar with Sonic, but it def helps).
I also found Tripitaka asking why they were going to the West when the Buddha could just easily arrive himself funny and very true.
The PotA/Aliens/Predator were mostly an issue per series so a brief on my feelings for each.
Aliens was first: It was an interesting little idea, true to the series with the human and xenomorph experimentation getting out of hand/not according to scientist plan. I can def feel Marvel's influence though as the modified humans came off as slightly super-hero-y; not detracting from the premise of the Aliens universe overall - as human experimentation has always been a thing - but the way the 4 protags posed at the end and like 'we gotta deal with the escaped xeno's did seem like a hero team. Curious to see where it goes for sure.
Predator was second: This was my favorite of the comics so far - it was snappy, didn't waste time, and got through what it needed in the short page space it had. It also got a genuine shiver out of me in the end.
Planet of the Apes last: This one was the most open ended one, but it did make me consider because at the end the Predator arrives. I don't know if this connects to the second story, I dont believe so, and if Xenomorphs will get involved.
Megaman: The funniest part tbh was when Blues is protecting the forest and midst battle with Forte, Blues goes to get his shield then theres a flashback panel behind him showing him giving it to Rock; and all I can think of is in the games when Blues gave the shield to Rock (I almost finished MM7) that Blues told Rock to 'burn down the forest'. I know it was cause of Woodsman, but him saving the forest in this comic was a funny irony.
The battlenetwork one was weird. I think it also would have helped to have a few more pages too.
Sonic: To elaborate on what I meant by 'having the knowledge'; it references at the start that Eggman was recently defeated, and no ones seen him since. If you played any of the games or such, than you can just kinda run with the usual way the Eggman battles go - though I have heard IDW gets more serious with it - but it will serve you just fine reading the issue.
Once again, "Canon cast watching an AU", although admittedly the world itself formed first and then having a view into what the canon cast would think (a more to canon character exploration, I guess I could just have the fic and then a secondary note section that had my thoughts).
2nd admittance, I'm a little unsure how to go about this. I have the ideas, but explaining how I drag Azur Lane into this is... It started with taking inspiration from the Wisdom Cube stuff then spiraled into making use of the Azur Lane group, although most of the ships themselves don't appear. I only go into this detail because the prompt is inherent about... Thomas and Friends/Railway Series. So uh. Also a 3rd crossover, Detective Conan. The only reasons this isn't going into the Detective Conan Chapter prompts is cause its still primarily TTTE.
Let it be known that as of 12/27/2025 that the google docs is around 10k words.
Set in an alternate timeline where many transportation machines such as ships, locomotives, cars, etc are alive and can project a tangible human form. Accomplished via Wisdom Cubes created through human reverse-engineering of the strange Gold Dust from Sodor.
Living machines work alongside humans in the day to day–doing the jobs they would have done if they were non-living machines–to a greater degree than non-living machines, and each has a special power based around a concept or idea.
Example: James = Winter (ice spreading out from under feet, create ice figures, or make snow)
Thomas = The Hunt (able to make any shot no matter what, long range weapon, etc)
Percy = “Magi-tech”
Henry's to be "Preservation" - protection and growth
Edward’s “Hope” - sword/knight theme (The king Arthur of my heart 💙)
Gordon “Strife” - strong hand-to-hand but also speed, this is fighting to protect and the pride of a warrior
Rosie “Bloom” - a powerful shield that heals and takes on the appearance of a blooming flower
Duck "Eternity" - both in an everlasting (but adaptable) sense and a never changing sense, like lighting/lighting power.
World Notes:
The characters from Azur Lane will sometimes appear but not as main characters. Azur Lane's presence in the AU is more for its worldbuilding (Wisdom Cubes, Shipgirls, etc but not Sirens), largely the concept of human personifications of living machines (in Azur Lane's case that is warships having human forms physically separate from the machine they embody) and in the AU is to merge with the Thomas and Friends concept of living machines (though in Thomas and friends canon this is specifically living machines with faces and no human form). The Wisdom Cubes of Azur Lane are mixed with the concept of the Gold Dust from Thomas and Friends.
►Gold Dust only brings the machine to life (stage 1) no abilities or human forms or rigging; living-machine's that have come alive via this method, however, CAN request for a Wisdom Cube to have access to the human form and abilities
►Commander Affinity is a term that came out as a result of the first implementation of Wisdom Cubes; it was discovered a small sub-set of the population (approx 1%) have the ability to enhance the abilities of living machines. While those without an affinity can work with living machines, they cannot enhance abilities.
➥Resonance: Stronger bonds help, although it isn't the foundation of Affinity.
➥Enchantments: Amplify ability, stabilize, help machines maintain Stage 3 longer
Stages
►1. Just be the machine they are. A machine that can move itself though with some limitations (such as limited to solely rails for locomotives, water for ships) and has a gray clay-like face on some forward part of the machine (such as the boiler hatch for locomotives or the front of the wheelhouse of a ship]). Most living-machines are in this state when doing the jobs they’re built for, such as a locomotive pulling a train or a ship sailing the sea or a car on the road.
➥1a. Note for canon: this is most akin to Thomas and Friends world. Closest to what the canon engines would recognize as “normal”.
►2. Project a human form while also still having their machine body still present, when someone does this the face on the machine disappears. This is mostly for more human scale interaction and ability to move separately from the machine body without the bulk of rigging–most working living-machines also use this whenever their machine body is undergoing repairs or retrofits, although sometimes they take this form when working depending on available space (a living ship has more space to walk around while working than a living bus). Abilities are usable, but not as strong/variety. At stage 2, their clothes appear on their bodies when they enter this stage and are generally work uniforms fit to their job-type (example: railway overalls or suits, etc for trains) stylized to their preference/personality, the colors mimicking their livery.
➥2a. This is similar to the Azur Lane world.
➥Injuries on the human body don't transfer back to the machine body but remain on the human body even throughout manifestations and only 'heal' after some time spent in the human body.
➥The human forms of the engines reflect the regions they were built in. Their clothing is generally railway uniforms in the same colors as their livery, although many choose to stylize theirs–esp James who goes with a longer coat and a split skirt with golden outlines. James and Emily have suit-dresses in their respective colors, though James' overcoat is longer while Emily's is cropped at the waist.
➞Height Ex: Gordon being taller than Edward and significantly so than Thomas. How this translates: Thomas being 5'6, Edward 5'9, Gordon 5'11)
➞Body ex: Gordon is a big tender engine so appears more physically stronger, while Thomas is a smaller tank engine so appears rather lithe.
➞Age: This is formatted both by how old they are and how their faces appear in stage 1; Thomas is over 100 by 2025 but comes off more younger (late 20s early 30s), Edward at about 40s-50s.
➞Thomas: 5'6, dressed in more casual clothes (jeans, a shirt with the print "Really Useful" in bright colors - a gag gift from Toby, and his work jacket with the number 1 on the back), intense blue, almost black, eyes (that makes the others straighten up on instinct and feel safe all at once). And wild short black hair (that if the others didn't know better, would think Kaito was sired by Thomas, its only cause they know Kaito was adopted that keeps them thinking otherwise - even that cheeky smile was the same, it was wild) with undertones of gray.
⇒While working, whenever he enters stage 2 or 3, Thomas wears a more formal outfit akin to an engine driver's uniform: the same work jacket with the large 1 on the back, but paired with blue trousers, a black tie, a white buttoned shirt, a blue vest, and a blue peaked cap with a black brim tilted casually up.
►3. Fully human form and dispersing their machine form to create rigging around them. Used in combat, emergencies, or specialized operations. It unlocks a higher level of abilities/another skill set. At stage 3 clothing changes to a form-fitting, full body suit that resembles wetsuits used by scuba divers: the colors mimicking their livery. Some have basic armor plating to them, ears are (visually) replaced with a metal piece resembling an ear cuff. Rigging appears around their bodies that symbolize their machine form but mostly become armor, weapons, tools, etc depending on the person. [This is inspired by a specific artist, but I don't know how to find them again. Its in my likes, but that basically means lost to time. Ill edit this if I find it.]
➥3a. This is akin to the Azur Lane world.
➥For example: all engines will get small versions of their wheels at the outward side of the knees and ankles (which they can use to ride on the rails [if you seen asktrio516 you know what I mean, also go look at their art]), ships will have their bow split in half and appear on either side and/or their wheel house at their back (ships also have the distinction of being able to “skate” on top of water in both stage 2 and 3).
➞Thomas at 3rd stage, the machine body becomes this body rigging and a large, fantastical, sniper gun that will hit its target with a powerful blast.
➞Edward's becomes a solid sword, 2nd stage allowing phantasmal swords that can emit a powerful, destructive, light from the tip upon a slash.
➞James’ becomes an “umbrella” and his uniform goes fully black rather than red. The ice goes from a pleasant crystalline white-blue to a passionate red-black.
Thomas and Friends Notes:
The engines on the Island of Sodor are allowed to be more adult-like in the AU to match with the maturity of the other stories–swearing at times, more adult themes like insinuation to intimacy, death, etc.
►AU Thomas plays guitar, and drinks (booze) as a recreational habit (even if he can't get drunk ["It came to me in a dream." This is to play with the baby-fying he goes through in the show, so it's mostly for laugh/contrast with a bonus of him being unable to get drunk period to keep it from getting depressing though I guess that line isn't completely gone…? Might not be as fun if you aren’t part of the party as it were]). This is specific to AU Thomas as a result of his powers, the other living locomotives would get drunk as easily as a normal man or worse depending on the tolerance.
►AU James sews, and dances. Au Henry gardens while Au Gordon cooks (they don’t need human food, but they all enjoy it), AU Emily and Edward flipping through a book by a fireplace. AU Percy builds toy models. Au James and Thomas’ romance and love (different from the more innocent friendship in canon) married for 80 years by 2025 – flirting, touching, always gravitating to each other, dancing (“Cause it makes James smile” AU Thomas said to Kaito when he was little).
In the AU Thomas and James have been married since 1945.
Gordon and Henry have a strange friendship-rivals-lovers thing since the 1960s.
Azur Lane Notes:
History
►When the Wisdom Cubes were made, the Cubes threatened to destabilize the world. Faced with such an overpowered item, the world's nations enact the “Azure Treaty” stating that the Wisdom Cube’s shouldn’t be used for militaristic use and that the existing technology must be equally distributed to all nations, to prevent any one nation from dominating the others. Though this briefly didn’t work during World War II where Nazi Germany disregarded the treaty and used Wisdom Cube’s on their warships, thus forcing other nations to use Wisdom Cubes on their warships–known as the “Alaska Enactment”. In the aftermath, the treaty still stands, though in addendum that no more living war machines can be made following the emergency “Alaska Enactment”.
►The “Alaska Enactment” also led to the creation of Azur Lane, which is where all the living warships made during that time were sent to. Azur Lane is an international neutral group that handles the rights of living machines, serves as a base for them to live, and trains those with Commander Affinity. They also work as a military force against the “Sirens”–an organic-machine force that appeared as a sort of “backlash” of the overuse of the Golden Dust (in the form of Wisdom Cubes) which created a sort of void.
➥“Sirens” all follow a futuristic theme, with large (primarily black) mechanical extensions on their bodies, ranging from cannons to metal constructs. Its speculated by some that the “Sirens” may have been the true identity behind the many mythical "sea monster" sightings throughout human history, times when the Golden Dust wasn’t very high.
Azur Lane runs Commander Academy of Azur Lane, to train people with a Commander Affinity. This is so no one nation has sole control or dominance regarding Commanders and Living-Machines.
Commander Academy Overview
►Inspirations were Infinite Stratos Academy and Death Weapon Meister Academy and Alfea College for Fairies specifically, but overall that anime-type of specialized schooling.
➥Vibes = military school, university, found‑family home.
►Commander Uniforms = Battle-adjusted versions of what type of living-ship the commander is often working with
➥Kaito's inspired railway conductor uniforms - whites and blues.
➥Shinichi is inspired by ship captain uniforms - blues and reds.
➥Heiji is inspired by race-car driver uniforms [he focuses with cars and sometimes fills in for ships] - greens and blacks.
➥Saguru is inspired by air captain uniforms [his focus is aircraft, mostly scientific ones but also commercial] - browns and whites.
➥Ran inspired ship-nurse-like uniform [focusing on repair and hospital ships] - purples.
➥Sonoko is unique with a battle-dress [the most flexible, generally working with any kind of research/information gathering living-machine; ultimately ends up working with Titanic the most] - pinks.
►Campus = open courtyards where living machines and humans mingle, naval academy architecture, training halls
►Student Body = every nation, every background, every age group (18–30 typical), every machine specialization. The Conan cast (Shinichi, Kaito, Heiji, Ran, Sonoko, Saguru, Aoko) are considered elite recruits due to their unusual experiences and resonance.
►Specializations = Each Commander chooses a specialization based on the type of living machine they resonate with.
➥Ship‑Focused Commanders = Naval tactics, large scale machines
➥Tactical Training = Team Exercises, Siren Engagement, Emergency Response, Multi-Operations (learning about how to work with machines in general and not just the specialization), Strategy
➥Specialization Specific Training = How to Read the Instruments, Move the Machine (practicing with mass produced, non-living versions unless already has a partner), Simulation Training, Military Focused Training (ex, naval training for ship commanders), Specialized Environmental Work (such as submersible operations for underwater commanders). Research/Support Commanders have an additional psychology class.
➥Academic Courses = Machine Physiology, Wisdom Cube Theory, Ethics of Living‑Machine Rights, International Law
➥Physical Training = Combat Basics, Endurance, Reflex Drills
➥Required Extra-Curriculum = Bonding and Machine Empathy Training
➥Field Work = Patrols, Rescue Operations, Missions with Living Machines
►Dormitories
➥Shared Lounges
➥Study Rooms
➥Machine‑Friendly Docking Areas
➥Individual or shared rooms.
➥Kaito and Shinichi share a dorm room (chaos + detective energy).
➥Ran, Sonoko, and Aoko share a suite.
➥Saguru has a single room (by choice).
►Training Arenas
➥Specialized arenas for each machine type.
➥Ships and underwater machines have a section in the ocean for training, they go back and forth on the days they have access to it.
➥Rail based machines use the campus rail lines for training
➥Academy Airport
➥Deep‑Pressure Tank for underwater commanders in a more controlled environment.
➥Simulation hall = Emergency Situations, Siren Attacks, Different Environments. Often gets used by commanders who are home sick even though its technically not allowed.
►Faculty
➥Retired Shipgirls
➥Veteran Commanders
➥Researchers
➥Titanic herself (guest lecturer = Her classes are always full)
►Commander Rank
➥First 💚

►Azur Lane is run by the enigmatic living cruise ship, Titanic. The cruise liner was unintentionally given a Wisdom Cube near the end of the Cold War when an accident occurred over her resting site, that dumped the contents of a transport ship into the water’s–some which contained Wisdom Cubes that were on their way to Azur Lane’s base of operations in the upper Atlantic. Titanic showed an impressive capability to lead for a civilian liner and a charisma that rallied many others behind her. Titanic has a romance with the American light cruiser, Helena. (When Shinichi Kudo first met Titanic, he thought she was Kaito in a dress. Titanic and Kaito enjoy teasing Shinichi over this. To be fair to Shinichi, Titanic is very much like Kaito, if Kaito held a more quiet and refined, motherly side. Even in appearance though she prefers the Edwardian dresses of her time, while Kaito is more modern.) Inspired by a fic of mine Super-Commander Titanic! Go! - Chapter 1 - Azur Lane (Anime) - TheForgottenN1 [Archive of Our Own].
►The Azur Lane Base is an artificial island with a residential district, commercial district, research labs, training arenas, the Commander Academy, Docks for living warships/Hangars for aircrafts/Rail lines for locomotives, and a military quarter focused on dealing with “Sirens” - Titanic’s personal office is located here.
Detective Conan cast notes:
[Some bits are directly from the www.detectiveconanworld.com and are colored to signify this is for the people unaware of Detective Conan.]
The Detective Conan cast aged up so the teens like Shinichi and Kaito are between 25-22 rather than 17-15, "Conan" and the Detective Boys are about 12 rather than about 7.
Shinichi = Ship-focused commander, detective work with Azur Lane as an occasional assistant to the main Commander at Azur Lane.
►When Shinichi takes his childhood friend Ran Mouri to a theme park, Tropical Land, to celebrate her victory in a recent karate championship Shinichi ends up solving a murder case. He separates from Ran to follow a man in black, Vodka, who was blackmailing a company president. He didn't notice when another man in black, Gin, sneaked up behind him and knocked him out with a baseball bat. Gin decides to test an experimental untraceable poison, APTX 4869, on Shinichi to ensure that his death couldn't be traced back to them. However, instead of killing Shinichi, a rare side-effect occurs: his body shrinks into that of his six-year-old self. Shinichi runs home and encounters his next-door neighbor and close family friend, Professor Agasa. Agasa warns him that he must keep his identity secret because the Black Organization will kill him and others associated with him should they discover the truth. Ran arrives to find out what happened to Shinichi, which forces him to come up with the alias Conan Edogawa from Arthur Conan Doyle and Edogawa Rampo and he pretends to be a distant relative of Agasa's, who places Conan in Ran's care. Ran's father, Kogoro Mouri, owns a Detective Agency, which will allow Conan to run into cases involving the Black Organization. He occasionally uses Kogoro, and Agasa, among others as a mouthpiece to solve crimes while searching for how to get his body back.
►Although he mostly uses the Conan alias to solve cases, in some (especially emergency) situations, he uses the Voice-Changing Bowtie to call the police using his original, Shinichi's voice and get involved with cases, which allow him to gain the authority that Conan lacks. In the aftermath; however, Shinichi requests his identity not to be revealed to the public, a clear contrast to his earlier attention-seeking behavior before turning to Conan.
►The Mouri’s make Conan attend elementary school where he befriends his classmates, Ayumi, Genta, and Mitsuhiko, befriend him and pull him into creating the Detective Boys after which he tries to keep them out of trouble. Their group is later joined by the creator of APTX 4869, Shiho Miyano, shrunk down and using the alias Ai Haibara.
►At some point Haibara discovers a cure to the APTX 4869 poison (intended to kill someone and leave undetectable traces) that shrunk Shinichi into Conan and Shiho Miyano in Ai Haibara. Shinichi decides to take the cure, even with the risk of the Black Org at large, due to no longer wanting to burden and endanger the Mouri’s (Ran Mouri and her private detective father Kogoro Mouri) and a yearning to return to his real body, esp after 5 years.
►During his time as Conan Edogawa, he made many allies with the FBI, Japanese National Police (for those out of Detective Conan, this is true part of the show, the FBI is part of this), and Azur Lane. When he returned as Shinichi, they had him become part of the Commander Academy of Azur Lane as a guise to be under the constant vigilance of various commanders, educators, and the living machines there – as far as the public knows, Shinichi “suddenly got wrapped up in a case involving Azur Lane, an international organization that would require utmost discretion, where he discovered a commander affinity and thus entered the Academy to further hone his skills”; Musashi is also sent to protect Shinichi, but publicly is sent as Shinichi’s living-machine “partner” as part of a “thank you” between Azur Lane for Shinichi “helping out with that mysterious case that kept him out of public eye for the last 5 years”.
►Ran, Sonoko, Heiji, and Kazuha end up going with for their protection as well.
Kaito Kuroba = a locomotive-focused commander born in Japan to a Japanese-French couple. When Kaito was 9, his mother Chikage Kuroba left Kaito behind while she was being chased by the Black Organization at Knappford Station on Sodor in an attempt to save Kaito and draw the Black Org after her; however, one noticed Kaito and attempted to take him–he was prevented from doing so however, by someone suddenly starting to play a guitar and draw in a crowd for Kaito to slip between and was found by James (who revealed that the one playing the guitar was Thomas–both of them noticed what was going on, and decided to grab Kaito when he was out of sight to prevent the Black Org member from chasing after).
►Kaito History and Relationships: After being saved by Thomas and James, he was raised by them. When he was 16, he was visiting his parents house to clean up and catch up with Inspector Nakamouri and his childhood friend Aoko Nakamouri (who Kaito only spoke to in letters, then phone, while on Sodor). While cleaning the house on his own, he discovered the secret passageway behind his father's full-body portrait that led to a secret basement with all of Toichi's Phantom Thief KID suits and tools, even a car; at the same time “Phantom Thief KID” reappeared after a “8-year hiatus” and Kaito went out to question this new KID, only to discover that it was his father’s assistant Konosuke Jii. Jii explains to Kaito that the death of Kaito’s father, Toichi Kuroba, was no accident and Jii was trying to lure out the murderers, and explains to Kaito that Toichi was KID–using his showmanship and magician skills to shine a spotlight onto criminals working above the law by briefly stealing gems and artifacts, and drawing the police force and later all the KID fans and news stations cameras onto the locations of the criminals. Kaito decides to take up this role himself and bring his father’s (and possibly his mother’s too) killers to light. Kaito soon discovers that the killers are a branch of the Black Organization (in the show/manga the guys in black after Kaito and the guys in black after Shinichi are different, I and a few others in the fandom think this is ridiculous), a secret criminal syndicate with a hidden objective (to achieve immortality). To achieve that goal, they commit various crimes to maintain its secrecy, remove obstacles, and gather funding and resources for its mysterious research projects. The members of the organization are given code names based on alcoholic beverages. They attempted to get Phantom Thief KID to join them, but Toichi refused, leading the Black Org to discover his true identity and mess with a magic trick he was performing (on a rollercoaster in which he was meant to escape before the coaster struck a burning building) to kill Toichi and make it look like an accident.
►During this time Kaito meet Shinichi Kudo, who was stuck as Conan Edogawa and became rivals and occasional allies, Saguru Hakuba (rival and love interest), and eventually meet Sonoko Suzuki which led him to meeting the rest of Sonoko’s friends–such as Ran (leading to Kaito meeting Conan in his civilian identity), Kazuha (and thus Heiji). Conan/Shinichi discovered pretty early on that Kaito was KID, but out of respect for the non-violent thief (who went out of his way to make heist safe, the “no one gets hurt” rule even the specially designated Phantom Thief KID Task Force abide by and enforce) decided to catch KID “fair and square”, rivalry also becomes friendship.
►Kaito ends up joining Shinichi at the Commander Academy of Azur Lane, along with Saguru and Aoko, to help deal with the Black Org.

Rection framing (skip this if you dont care):
►Reaction fic where the canon cast of Thomas and Friends (roughly post season 22) in their sheds when a big drive-in theater like screen pops up. The screen disappears after each “episode”, the locomotives work for the day, then the screen “returns” – a note appears to explain this. (The cause is Lady wanting to show them something inspiring–the alternate universe).
➥Thomas, Edward, Henry, Gordon, James, Percy, Emily are there because their normal resting place is Tidmouth Sheds
➥Duck and Rosie are there because their shed is under repairs and flooding.
➥Diesel and Salty are there bringing supplies from the mines and docks respectively and are passing by when the screen appears.
➥Sir Richard Topham-Hatt is there to oversee Duck and Rosie's stay. Sir Robert Norramby is there as he and Sir Topham-Hatt are to head to a work dinner afterwards. Toby is their transport.
➥The firemen and drivers of the engines as it's the end of the work day, or the night shift for Percy (mail) and Henry (fish delivery).
➥Its late dawn when the screen appears above the turntable in front of the sheds.
Presentation notes:
The non-speaking parts of the AU story are narrated by Lady to the canon cast watching – similar to a Thomas and Friends episode – thoughts only occasionally are narrated.
►Thomas recognizes Lady's voice, during the time The Third Mr. Conductor, Alec, watched the railway for the current controller at the time (2000) Sir Stephen Topham Hatt.

Story Outline:
Opens to Shinichi on a case, working with war-ship Musashi.
►Over various "episodes" will be a mix of the detective cases of Detective Conan and the heist of Magic Kaito (A chapter per case or heist), some things to note that this will do:
➥Introduces the Azur Lane ships and Azur Lane as a whole – easing the watching cast into this larger world.
➥Hinting at Sodor, but not outright talking about it (Kaito being a secretive little shit).
►Episode 2 – KID heist – KID, Shinichi and the Detective Boys still following him around, Musashi hinting that its unwise to be away from Azur Lane because of "crows" (black org nickname), Ran, the KID task force.
➥KID's heist are always a spectacle, a bright light that leaves no room for shadows (the crime that hurts innocents, preys on the helpless, against the defenseless; KID is one man, but he is like showmanship personified.)
➞The magic trick, the theft, the chase.
➞KID leapt. Not away—forward, into the blaze of light. Then the lights snapped off. In that instant, a service corridor door burst open. Officers poured through—and stopped short. “These aren’t real,” an officer whispered. “No,” he said. “They’re inventory. Evidence.”
➥Follow up for the aftermath of the heist - a few officers lost KID during the chase and found the illegal stash of antique fakes by the person KID was stealing from, person get arrested while KID changes into "Kaito" and meets up with an irritated Shinichi.
Musashi riding on top of her machine body with Shinichi, Kaito, Ran, Saguru back to the Azur Lane base and then, after the others get off onto the docks, dispersing her machine body and entering stage 3 so that she can easily move her machine body out of the way of the docks to a location on the other side of the island where the ships dock, she could have sailed around but she didn't want to.
►More on living machines as they go about their day on Azur Lane = Kaito and Ran off to have a dinner at a cafe with Sonoko, Saguru off to the labs, Shinichi attempting to have a nice walk and running into another case (theft) - each where they encounter living machines in different ways that has them talk more about it at different angles = Kaito, Sonoko, and Ran's conversation being more social - how they work the job they were built for or don't do and about many living ships being sent over following the world war, etc (catching up on the latest gossip and sharing concerns/where Kaito talks about growing up in Sodor), Saguru speaking with a repair ship turning more biological - such as wisdom cubes (about a car living machine having troubles entering stage 3), Shinichi about the human aspect - commanders and the academy (and that he thinks the perpetrator was a commander, and sighing about it).
►Surprise at Sodor being mentioned in this strange world, wondering how Kaito fit into the place they knew, did that worlds versions of themselves know him... actually in this world where living machines could take on human form... what were they like in this world?
➥As Kaito talks about home, about Sodor, a flashback appears to the canon cast - its vague and you cant see quite clearly (like film roll dropped in water - no faces clearly) but they see a group of people they don't know but as Kaito lists all the things he remembered of the engines, a line here and there from the human forms of the engines show. The engines are in a daze - that they fit into this world, its rules = they have human forms in this world and its a tease of what they will never have but they want to know more, there's a sense of excitement and heart-in-the-throat feeling or at least as close as it can get as an living locomotive.
➞“Thomas never stopped moving,” Kaito added, fond rather than critical, but as he spoke a haze softened onto the screen and they saw [a group of people sitting at a table, well most of them were, a man in blue, his jacket patterned with a big 1 on the back hung over the empty chair, Thomas, walked quickly about.] Kaito voice continued as the scene continued, “Even when he probably should’ve. Gordon pretended not to care about anyone." [A larger man, Gordon, also dressed in blue grabbed the shirt of Thomas as he passed by his chair again, 'Slow down little Thomas, you will wear a hole into the carpet... again.']
➞"James." Kaito laughed. “James cared about appearances, but he showed up anyway. Every time.” [A man in red finally arrived, James, with someone small in hand (Kaito as a child though it isnt shown) and Thomas sighed as he turned in place to latch onto James 'Jaaammes, what took so long.' James only huffed, 'It only seemed long to you, but we were getting ready for dinner.' A comfortable, here we go again, argument breaks out amongst the group] as the scene fades.
➞Thomas grapples with wanting something he doesn't think he can ever ask for, the engines talk among themselves afterward, trying to name what they felt. My human canon cast opinions as well to delve deeper into them (which I thought there was more information on based on how people talk about the drivers and firemen in everything else vs CGI series, I thought maybe I was misremembering the model series and books - but no they are just kinda as nonexistent in those as the CGI. Anyways, I crafted a few ideas for drivers and firemen, but nothing big.)
➥A more day-to-day with Shinichi and Kaito on the Azur Lane base.
Snippets idea's - learning a bit more about who they are, and what they are afraid of (black org), the "Conan" era, Titanic (beautiful, like a haunting ghost of the past, yet vibrant and alive). Shinichi (and the detective boys; warm yet painful; children who still see him in some ways as their friend Conan and their mentor Shinichi).
►The first flashback of Kaito's, he's talking to Shinichi about how he got involved against the Black Org. The faces and specific identifiers (numbers on coats) are hidden in a way that the canon cast watching doesn't know yet who the people who saved Kaito are. Kaito and Shinichi start talking, then the screen fades to the flashback. Little Kaito is watching Gordon pulling the Express in the background, not realizing his mother is pulling away, (the canon cast can see that this is at Knapford Station). Little Kaito turns to see his mother gone, in the background the canon cast sees James and Thomas are double heading a long goods train (but don't make a connection to what follows). Little Kaito runs trying to find her, but then notices a man in black chasing him and runs from him. A man in blue starts playing a guitar with a secret smile (the brim of his cap hiding most of his face, the man’s eyes just visible beneath the cap watching Kaito, and the big number 1 on the back is hidden by the jacket being folded over the back of the chair), a crowd forms to listen and little Kaito dodges through, a man in a red dress (face hidden by a red sun hat) whistles to him and little Kaito is scooped up and taken aboard a train in one move, out of sight of the man in black. Flashback fades back to Kaito and Shinichi as they finish talking then hear a scream as another murder just occurred - Shinichi sighs, Kaito teases for the "Shinigami" to go solve that case.
Segments that focus on Heiji (brash, honest, without fanfare but not lacking respect unless someone was being difficult) and Aoko (who doesn't know Kaito is KID yet).
Kaito's letter from home - the engines at Tidmouth often exchange letters with Kaito/normal family things (who's new, who's left, whats been repaired, who crashed and how, how everyone feeling, inquiry into Kaito, is he eating enough. Son of Richard - John Topham Hatt childhood friend of Kaito's).
►Shinichi and Kaito sharing a dorm, soon after they first start living together, Shinichi brings in letters and calls out to Kaito "you got some from a Tidmouth?" Kaito sliding in and grabbing it and some food with a simple "family" and walking off - reads it and slots into a binder of letters (showing this happens often) and starts on a reply. Sense of surprise and curiosity (Kaito has mentioned them before by name and talked as if he knew them, but they thought it was like every other child they knew on Sodor, this shows he's closer). Richard Topham Hatt's surprise when Kaito rolls his eyes at something in the letter and says "good ol John, getting to much inspiration from me (mischievousness)".
Aoko discovering Kaito is KID and not taking it well - good motives but also still mad at the stress KID put on her dad (head of the KID task force) and it taking her dad away from her (and also nearly taking Kaito from her, Kaito was nearly killed a lot of times).
►Kaito getting an offer (attached to a letter from home) with a proper job on Sodor, taking place as Henry's driver (Kaito has a fear of fish... Henry pulls a fish train - irony? Simultaneous confrontation of fears? [Though different fears for Henry granted]).
➥They at first see the letter warn at the creases from being folded and unfolded over and over, Shinichi at his laptop, writing up a report for a case peaking over at Kaito as he takes a sip of his coffee (that Kaito once described as acid and soul sucking) with a raised eye brow as Kaito folds and unfolds the letter again. Kaito gives into the silent judgement, "Its a job." Shinichi blinks, "aren't those your family letter's?" Kaito huffed, "Yeah but-- I don't know if it was John convincing his dad or maybe Sir Topham Hatt genuinely think i'm--" Kaito sighs through that subtle doubt thats been creeping in since his fight-not fight with Aoko following the reveal. "Its a job." Kaito pushes through, "As a driver for Henry- ah big green guy with a fondness for nature." Kaito tailored off with the brief description of Henry part way through, since Shinichi hasn't been to Sodor, only has whatever Kaito's told him to go off of. (Canon cast: Strange feelings still even as they've learned in the past views Kaito's not only been to Sodor but lived there and knew that world's versions of them. Surprise at Kaito being offered a job at Sodor, the further hints of Kaito's friendship with John Topham Hatt, flustered feelings from Henry at Kaito becoming his driver - even if its just in the AU).
➥Shinichi there asking if he's gonna go; Kaito unsure, but "It would be nice to be home. And I like Henry, and can drive a locomotive his size, so it's not like it'd be difficult. Problems the… finny things." (Kaito's fear is so bad he can't even say the word). Shinichi blinked, “Finn- fish?” Kaito nodded with solemnity and fear, “Yes. Henry pulls the Flying Kipper.” (Cast realizing Kaito is afraid of fish, sympathy and humor depending on the person and engine).
➥Shinichi thinks quietly for a moment, as they've come to understand he always does (and especially after Conan), then he goes back to his work on the report, deceptively relaxed for the verbal bomb he's about to drop onto Kaito. "Maybe I'll come with, Sonoko and Ran probably would follow- ah Hakuba too if only as an excuse to visit his family on the main English isle."
Kaito leaves for Sodor; Sonoko, Shinichi, and Saguru (closest friends after Aoko) come with.
►On a ship heading to Sodor. Kaito is nervous at having his friends meet his family "They're a little strange...", "Ah, so you get it from them then?" they tease, “you’re supposed to be supportive" Kaito says, “we are” retorts Shinichi. Amongst the teasing a flashback comes in.
➥The previous flashback but this time in more detail (the canon cast realizing there’s seeing Kaito get left behind again, but different, not purely a child’s view) - Chikage looks behind and sees the men in black and walks off, taking off her hat to show off her face and grab their attention then running (Canon cast realize why Chikage left). When James and Thomas pull in, the watching cast sees them more clearly. When Kaito is taken into the man in red’s arms, this time the scene is shown more fully–Kaito tilts his head up and sees the man in red has an earring with the number 5 dangling, the two walk out on the other side of the train and the man playing guitar sets down the guitar case to put back on his jacket ("“Thank you for helping..." Au James starts to say) and thus facing away when he does which shows off the number 1 on the back ("...Thomas.” AU Thomas turns to him, that cheeky grin on his face “As always James.”).
➥Scene fades out as the AU cast steps onto the docks, the AU James waiting there (engine form on the rails and the human form, red sun hat tilted up and showing his face, waving at Kaito. Black hair, red streak. Looking like a model.) AU Thomas stands next to AU James (his engine form is getting hitched to some goods he has to haul in a moment) a hand lazily going up as he loosely holds a bottle in the other. AU James smiles at Kaito, hands folded in front of him, "How are you my little bird?", Kaito sniffs and steps into a hug; AU Thomas' pops up from his lean and joins the hug. (Canon cast realize, AU James and Au Thomas didn’t just save Kaito. They raised him.)
➞A private canon scene grappling with what they saw
➞The realization that Chikage didn't abandon her son but saved him by running
➞James and Thomas saved him when one of the guys in black noticed him anyways
➞James and Thomas human forms (unavailable in their canon universe, unthinkable before this watching)
➞Kaito was raised by James and Thomas ("Guess thats how he knew all of you so well." Remarked Percy's driver. "Now we know where he gets his dramatic-ness." Joked James' fireman used to James' everything in terms of personality, "From my own engine, haha.")
►Thomas’ heading off to pull his goods train, while James was assigned to act as their personal train for most of the day (“So you basically got the day off.” Amusedly remarked Kaito, knowing that ‘assigned to them’ was Sir Topham Hatt’s way of giving James the day off while still making it seem like work–since all the engines are always about working and being ‘really useful’. James’ huffed.)
➥James first takes them to Tidmouth so they can drop their stuff off, some spare rooms being cleaned for Shinichi, Sonoko, Saguru, and Ran (who arrived separately)–only Edward is there as the others are off working, and he is only there for a moment to grab something he planned on passing to Duck but he takes a moment to hug Kaito (“Hi grandpa.” Kaito remarked.) and welcomed the others before he’s off, his driver and fireman waiting outside. Everyone sets down their stuff to deal with later, in the rooms (“I pick the one closest to Kaito, we have nails to do tonight.” Sonoko decided as she went into the spare room next to Kaito’s bedroom [same as he left it], Shinichi just rolled his eyes and went into the spare across, Ran smiled as she went to the spare next to Shinichi’s, and Saguru didn’t care as he was already setting his stuff down in the spare next to Sonoko.)
➥James letting Kaito know he doesn’t have to worry about working with Henry until 3 days later, the next few days are about relaxing and resettling. After that Kaito will get retested and assigned to follow the current driver (before he retires) but knows that that won't take long for how skilled Kaito is (and having grown up around Henry, already knows the engine just fine).
➥Snippets of the group just going around and observing Sodor at work, visiting various locations = Meeting Cranky and Salty at the docks, seeing Edward again and Duck at where their branchlines meet, talking to the Skarloey engines at the mines, and going up to Ulfstead castle to meet Sir Robert and Stephen. Shinichi ends up solving a mystery (though its much more innocent than he is used to) a treasure hunt that leads everyone to discovering a treasure chest hidden in a secret bunker under Ulfstead Castle.
►Overview - Past [Kaito’s early years growing up] and Present [Kaito working as Henry’s driver] are going back and forth (showing more/teaching about Kaito's past and showing more of their AU selves, and then back to the present to see how it all turned out and how sometimes the present mirror's the past.)
➥The next handful of chapters would be more themed to Thomas and Friends slice of life, with some Detective Conan style.
➥Tidmouth having the engine berths ground level, then an additional layer for the engines to move around in their human forms with rooms to put their stuff and a central living-room space.
AU: James and Thomas intended to only foster Kaito for a little bit until better guardians could be found as they didn’t think themselves (living locomotives who were all too aware of the mistakes they’ve made in life) as potential good parents, to everyone else's disagreement.
►Another guardian couldn’t be found as Chikage’s family were thieves (Lupin the 3rd is her brother [this is a fun head canon based around that one crossover between Lupin the 3rd and Detective Conan]), she and her husband Toichi were both likely dead, and Inspector Nakamouri lived in Japan, which would have made Kaito live next door to the inspector rather than with him.
Although, only a few days of his stay he and Thomas got dirty painting a room for him in the rooms above Tidmouth Sheds, to James amused exasperation (but he later changed into plain, worn clothes and helped even though he hates getting dirty).
►Classic Parent Things like balancing their passions in bed and having to put that on hold because Kaito had a nightmare.
Present chapters/eps: A normal day on the Island of Sodor, Kaito starting work as Henry’s driver pulling a goods train to Vicarstown. Cut to Sonoko and Ran drag Shinichi around to carry their bags as they go shopping; they run into Thomas who’s looking for a gift for James and his wedding anniversary–Sonoko gets really excited and pulls everyone to help [the first time the canon engines hear their AU selves curse–some crude humor and satirical commentary–the living machines of the canon world, for one reason or another, mostly because they are generally interacting with others while working, don't curse or say anything crude, so hearing AU Thomas speak like that is very… startling to everyone of the canon cast]. Cut back with Kaito, some ‘Sirens’ have arrived on the bridge from Vicarstown to the mainland – Henry enters stage 2, summoning his human form on top of a crouch on the roof of his cabin then sprinting across his boiler, leaping off as he summoned a big shield, then did a deft spin to increase the impact as he bringing the shield face down in the middle of the ‘Sirens’ creating an impact. Alongside Kaito increasing the power of his ability, Henry dealt with the ‘Sirens’ before they went back to work.
►Thinking of focusing on the shopping trip between Sonoko, Ran, and Shinichi who had been declared bag-carrier, running into AU Thomas at the shopping district. Thomas admitting to them he's looking for something for James, their wedding anniversary, and Sonoko (who gets really excited when it comes to love, hers or anyone else's) jumps in eagerly to help to Thomas' surprise and relief. Montage of them going around and trying different store's. Finally finding this fancy and expensive music box, that when Thomas’ buys it, makes everyone stunned, when asked Thomas’ just says as engines they don’t have much reason to spend money, so they all just tend to save it–which builds up after many decades.
Opening up to Kaito being dropped off by AU Edward at school, first day of school. [AU Sir Richard Topham Hatt had Kaito attend a Sodor school near Tidmouth Sheds–which had tracks going behind the back, allowing for one of the engines at Tidmouth Sheds to drop Kaito off or pick him up.] Kaito befriends John Topham Hatt, Kaito is still sad about his mom and John doesn't like seeing people sad so he drag's Kaito to play and they get into mischief.
Present eps/chapters = Back in the present, the present mirrors the past, as Kaito meets with John again. And John, just like he did when they were nine and met for that first time, noticed Kaito was sad [about Aoko this time] and dragged him into mischief. John hopped on and joined Kaito for the day, letting Henry’s fireman take a break for the day.
Thomas telling stories of the past of Sodor to Kaito, not from storybooks but directly from memory, telling them like children bedtime stories.
►Thomas reclines on the couch with little Kaito on his lap and wrapped up in blankets who is attentively listening, Thomas has one arm swung lazily over the back of the couch but the other is waving about to the story, a small smile on his face; “Now, Edward you see, he is the heart of this island…”
AU Thomas and James going from simply dispersing their human forms and sleeping as their engine forms in the shed's berth to setting up a room next to Kaito’s.
Present eps/chapters = Rosie and Thomas end up taking good’s trains in the same direction but get a text about Diesel 10 and his driver/commander Boomer having stolen some wisdom cubes and parts. Diesel 10 and Boomer end up on the line Rosie and Thomas are on and they make chase.
►Diesel 10 (D10) enters stage 2 (the claw arm on the top of his frame represented as replacing his right arm) and Boomer heightens D10’s power as D10 channels a corruption-ability to attack Rosie and Thomas behind him.
►Thomas tells Rosie to go into stage 3, when she asks why not him, he says they need her shield more, and that ‘I don’t need my rigging to deal with him’.
►Rosie’s driver and fireman jump onto Thomas’ train as Rosie enters stage 3 and jumps onto Thomas’ cab, leaving her goods train to pick up later, Thomas enters stage 2 as Rosie’s shield tanks D10’s attacks and heals the corruption it leaves behind. Thomas makes a gun-shape with his hand, pointing at D10–focused, and it seems D10 hesitates for a moment (Narration: “Unlike Edward and Emily who comfortably settled into that older maturity as they got older – Thomas, well over 100 years now, generally didn’t show his age. Staying that cheeky little engine… unless he was truly angry and donned the expression that, as Diesel 10 once put it, said ‘I am the manifestation of your designer's anger and disappointment’. Kaito called it the ‘disappointed dad’.”) before pushing on. ‘Bang’ Thomas says, bringing his thumb down like a hammer on a pistol and a light shoots forward and takes out D10’s machine body’s wheels.
AU James’s perspective (an evening scene of him sewing while waiting for Thomas and Kaito to return)
The first time the canon cast truly recognized Thomas' habit. There's a drinking challenge at a bar, at first appearing just a little fun with the seamen and dock workers, dockside engines and Salty and a few shipgirls. (Lighthearted moment).
►But bottles kept piling up and competitors kept tapping out, and Thomas lazes on the bar and is still going, even gets up to walk and spin to show he’s still sober. (Turning into sadness) while Salty and other dockside engines and shipgirls are already drunk, showing Thomas is unique in being sober.
►When everyone else is finished, Thomas laughs but then looks at the range he drank up and falls silent. He walks out to where his engine body sits and muses out loud "Better get back, before James worries."
➥Starling and concerning the canon cast, as they 1) don't have human bodies nor can they project they are fully locomotives, 2) can't consume human food or drinks, 3) their Thomas doesn't seem the sort to be an alcoholic.
➥After the moment fades; they all reflect on the earlier moments in the story where AU Thomas always has a plain brown glass bottle in his hand (booze), but hides it from James or TophamHatt.
►Follow-up; Au Thomas walks back to the sheds, thinking and humming. When he arrives back at the sheds, moving about and putting away the things the others forgot to (callback to the maturity in the books and that he's older than Gordon and Henry built-wise, and his growing father-role to Kaito) even after the events of the bar and whatever sent him there, without a sign of even being tipsy let alone dead-drunk. He pauses as he puts away something into a pantry, a brown glass bottle on a shelf, staring for a while before his finger rubs his wedding band, then sighing and heading to his and James' room and sliding under the covers with him and holding James tight.
Present Ep = No solid idea yet, but something in the present focused on Thomas with Brendan Docks. Maybe a Shinichi and Thomas focused episode–Shinichi filling in for Thomas’ driver who got sick.
At some point, while dropping Kaito off at school, Kaito ran off saying “bye dad” to Thomas, which almost made the tank engine choke on his drink and his Driver (“Commander”) and Fireman laughed at him for his reaction. (Canon Percy jokes and says “Bye dad” to Thomas for the next week).
►The canon cast notices the booze bottle this time, the same kind that always pops up around AU Thomas now they know what it is.
Filler eps/chapters - AU James knows, he always had, he was there when Thomas first discovered that no matter how much he drank he never got drunk, even though this was the first time he's ever had alcohol. Thomas just wanted to give it a try, join in the fun the dock seemed to be having. It wasn’t supposed to become a habit, a bottle down the gullet like you’d check couplings twice. AU James just tries to make the habit a little less (making other drinks, easing a small amount of alcohol in an attempt to safely wean Thomas odd), trying to be kind and not judge (he did that once, it didn't go well).
►One time Thomas shoved a bottle into Gordon's hands as James arrived; Thomas dipped James to distract him, but the red engine still gave the bottle Gordon was now holding a suspicious stare; Gordon simply held eye-contact as he proceeded to drink the bottle. (The alliance).
AU: James and Thomas’ worry about fucking up – “this is harder than running a branchline” Thomas frets to Edward. Thomas sighs and slumps down, "more difficult than trying to stop" and motions to a bottle off to the side, but its off to the side and unopened Edward points out.
Present Ep = A “Siren” Invasion; a metaphorical sea of “Sirens” surge forth across the waves, a large abnormal ‘Siren’ lugging its large body in the midst of it with tentacle arms waving about. Cut to various moments of Sodor living machine’s going into stage 3 to deal damage, defend, heal, etc while some remain in stage 2 with those in stage 3 on top of them.
►Thomas in stage 2 charging forward then jumping off, entering state 3 as he does, and continues forward without a break in momentum on the rails. He ‘skates’ forward as he brings up his large rigging and fires (impact frames, lots of colors). [First time Thomas' 3rd stage is shown, and now everyone realizes why Thomas held back in every instant he showed his ability– “I don’t need my rigging indeed” muttered canon Henry, in reference to the chase scene after D10].
►Gordon in stage 3 going around and fighting as many as he comes across like a relentless warrior that fears no injury or death then rushing forward and changing into stage 1 as his machine body slams onto the rails and Thomas jumps on top. Thomas aims for the large “Siren”.
►Everyone starting to coordinate funneling the large abnormal ‘Siren’ in a way on the water in front of Brendem docks. Though the reason is not yet shown, let alone discussed. It's instinctual, the whole island knows what needs to be done.
►Henry (stage 3) stands in front of Edward (stage 3); Edward is standing firm, blade in ground and eyes closed as he waits for the signal–his sword is seemingly swathed in a blue glow, a gentle wind coming from it that gently pushes at Edward’s hair.
►“You ready Perc!” Shouted AU Duck (stage 3) over the winds, Percy (stage 3) held his staff (more tech than fantasy but wielding magic all the same) and nodded as he swung it up and a large, city wide, magic circle appeared in the sky above the large “Siren”, with a series of slightly smaller magic circles fitting underneath the larger circle like a funnel. With a shock of thunder and lightning from Duck, boosted by Percy’s magic circles, struck the large “Siren”.
►Salty (stage 3) creating a whirlpool around the large “Siren”, Percy sends a message to Edward letting him to ‘do it now’.
►Edward seamlessly takes the blade out from where it rested in the ground and bringing it pointing upwards, then Edward thrusts it upwards, the small light becoming like a lighthouse and the gentle wind now a storm around him. With a small, steadying, step, Edward comes forward… then brings the blade down, a power bursting forward across the sea, causing the waves of the ocean to part and rise meters upwards and proceeds to strike the “Siren”.
James and Kaito dressing up together; Starts when one day Kaito watch's James put on make-up and asks to learn, his reasoning “To be pretty like mama” which James scoops him up and hugs him–his vanity at being complimented makes him miss that Kaito called him ‘mama’ at first. (It takes little Kaito a while to realize he can just say dad or father).
Father-son relationship Edward and Thomas; AU James and Thomas becoming pseudo-parents to many of the younger engines (like Nia, Connor and Caitlin, really anyone built after the 1980s) just by being the one they go to talk to and sometimes get advice from.
Cozy, slice‑of‑life domestic scenes. Thomas plays guitar and drinks. James sews, and dances. (James sewing something, only to look up and see Thomas has paused tuning his guitar to look at him, James asks what he’s doing and Thomas just says “looking at you” with a smitten smile.)
The wedding of Thomas and James, set much farther back than all the flashbacks, before the party, before the drinking, back in 1945 - something not done by living machines yet.
►The wedding, though the first for living engines, was as grand as when Sir Topham Hatt [the first controller of the NWR] got wedded, because Sir Topham Hatt wanted the best for his engines (and a wedding would do good in moral after the war). By now James and Thomas have known each other for 30 years, Wisdom Cubes have been around for 10 years.
➥Most of the Island of Sodor arrived, even the narrow-gauge engines who were in their 3rd stage as their machine forms didn’t fit the standard gauge rails.
►Emily and Henry acted as James’ groomsmen/bridesmaids and helping him into his suit (that came with a long jacket that extended out like the drain of a dress, and in red).
►Elsewhere Percy, Gordon, and Edward were helping Thomas’ who decided to wear a wedding dress (a soft blue with white lace) and veil since “Edward was going to walk me down and the one who gets walked down wears the dress yeah?” Thomas said to Gordon, when the other remarked at the unconventional nature of Thomas' choice, surprising Edward and Percy. Edward teared up at the way Thomas just casually said about having Edward walk him down, as though it was a no brainer and there was no one else to be considered over Edward (to Thomas it was). And Percy clutched a litter tighter on the bouquet he was holding.
➥No one would have begrudged him if Thomas also wore a suit (quite frankly Thomas and James only got away with having a wedding because they were recognized as ‘machines’ still and not two men; not that most on the Island cared, Sodor was a kinder place for love, after all when you have living machines magically occurring long before Wisdom Cubes, you learn to love the unusual).
➥Thomas fidgeted as Lady Jane Hatt insisted on at least eyeshadow.
Back in the present, Shinichi needed a change of clothes (minor incident at the docks involving fish) and Thomas' offered some of his. As Thomas (in some jeans and a silly shirt) riffled through James’ vanity desk out of boredom as he waited, Shinichi came across the wedding dress, still in good condition even after 80 years.
►It was the blue color to the dress that stopped Shinichi from asking if James wore it, someone he’s already seen in more feminine styles (red primarily). So when he turned to Thomas he asked, “You kept your dress?” Thomas looked up, and coughed a little abashedly, saying it was an important day, continuing when Shinichi asked about not seeing Thomas in this look. Thomas embarrassedly said that at the time he thought he should wear one, since he was the one getting walked down, and at the time didn’t realize that wasn’t the case.
➥Shinichi asked Thomas if he didn’t wear the style because he wasn’t a dress person. But Thomas just laughed and said that he worked often and James was the only one who decided to make wearing a dress on a railway work at first. (Emily followed after seeing James make it work). “Less, not liking it, more not many opportunities. Though I’m happy just seeing James and Kaito do so.”
➥Shinichi would later swear up and down it was as though Sonoko (despite not being dead) possessed him that made him go ‘why not start now?’ and take Thomas shopping.
►James and Kaito arrive back to the sheds, Henry walking off to the kitchen to help Gordon as James’ driver and fireman and Henry’s fireman head home. James and Kaito noticed Shinichi in his room (the door open) sorting through bags, Kaito teased if Ran and Sonoko dragged him shopping again, to Shinichi’s denial, though he didn’t say anymore as he told them to leave him be.
➥Kaito laughs as he enter’s Saguru’s room, intending to tease the detective and keep him from overworking even though Saguru’s on ‘vacation’.
➥James shakes his head at his son’s antics as he enters his and Thomas’ and stops short. For a moment James was sent back to his and Thomas’ wedding day as he sees the tanking engine in stage 2 stand in the middle of the room, fidgeting with the waistband ribbon bow of the baby-blue skirt that made up the overall dress Thomas was in (with a white blouse-like top that had a matching baby-blue form fitting false jacket sewn into the top that ended just above the waistband, and small black glossy shoes, and a dangling #1 earing on the right).

My DCMK ideas are mostly crossovers. This stems from Kaito being my fav since I was 12 y/o and I take that fav everywhere, every fandom. I have put him in all the above and more. Some are just 'what if the worlds crossovered' like the Hetalia one below, but I thought of something similar with Arknights (ak world more in the past, dcmk world more future; so, this, because Chongyue is my fav from that game, is more 'the immortals are still around, discuss'). Some are 'what if I merged characters even if they didn't make sense'; this thought led to a Azur Lane crossover, where Kaito (because we torture our favorites) took on the role of one of the ships, what if it was a non-war ship, what if it was Titanic because I had a binge at one point that coincidently coincided.
Prompt
Detective Conan crossover with Hetalia.
Kogoro has been invited to take part as one of the many important individuals to the World Innovators’ Symposium a gathering of various important figures [entertainment, law, government, science, etc] at the Grand Imperial Hotel as the Great Detective Mouri, and he brings Ran and Conan as usual. Include Agasa, an inventor himself, who brought the detective boys with him; the Suzuki's are of course also there as they are one of the biggest conglomerates; look up important people that would be invited from Detective Conan canon [like the Suzuki's] and invent some others.
There at the door of the hotel, a famous actress is arguing with a bellhop that leads to some construction crew nearby to drop the long/wide box [a door or something] that nearly falls on Ran but is stopped by a Captain Alfred F. Jones, a well-known diplomat and Airforce pilot; coming up behind him is his plus one, Kaito Kuroba the famous magician who has recently gained a reputation for inventing.
[Note; all teenaged/highschool character's have been aged up to be in college 20-21, except for Conan who is still stuck as a boy--he and the detective boys in middle school 11--the black organization is still at large].
This is mostly so I can easily share with a friend admittedly. Sorry if its really sporadic. There's also a bit where I transcribed and mixed the Amphoreus trailer's and then edit for the story cause I was listening to it and it acts as a sorta foundation for the rest.
Prompt x - Genshin Impact and the reactioning with the HSR Chrysos Heir's idea (but less sad maybe)
The current playable characters of Genshin Impact watch a possible future, where the age of the gods has ended, and heroes of humanity take up the gods' divine thrones. Watch fic style - theater, each character got a letter that enticed them with solutions to their greatest fears.
All current playable characters (Traveler + every playable up to 5.X – I haven’t gotten to Nod Krai yet), but focusing on the Seven + Childe + Lumine [Traveler] + Aether [Abyss Prince] + key lore characters like Neuvi, or Jean for Mond related elements that pop up. Fully realized paragraphs and not the [Name: "Thing said"] thingie lots of reaction fics do (idk why but I somehow read lotta Percy Jackson ones). Mix of voicing their worries and internalizing them depending on the character.
Romance and such:
I have more solid romance ideas for Detective Conan as I’m more invested in the larger cast and a bit more of a “Yeah I agree with the canon ship” kind of thing. I mostly read just Zhongli x Childe (no particular way, so don’t read any of that top x bottom bs).
Lumine is the Traveler, cause thats who I play, but if it was Aether, know I would have Xiao x Aether (but I don’t think that would work with Aether as the Abyss Prince).
Zhongli x Childe | Neuv x Wrio | Ayato x Thoma
>>Slight note, there's a fic out there where Bennet is Mauv's kid (before his event came out) and while I like Bennet's parents, a part of me wants to write that in.
Saguru x Kaito | Aoko x Akako | Shinichi x Ran | Heiji x Kazuha
>>Toichi and Yusaku brother thing doesn't exist. It was so goddamn ham-fisted; I saw that movie, it was deadass an after credits moment in one of the movies and not the main show! BULLSHIT. If you are going to put something like that in, commit damnit! And not 20 years later cause people ended up more into Shinichi x Kaito than Shinichi x Ran! Ran could do so much better!
Chapter layout:
Prologue would be set up
Chapter 1 “trailer” - Some characters I know better than others. The other day someone told me Emile was a “forensic” character – I thought she just did perfume (read: I wasn’t playing the game at the time so…)
Chapter 2 (maybe more) “Set up” – Unsure but thinking just going into it, have it be a Detective Conan case (whether I can write a mystery or not idk, would prob just end up being a Murdoch Mysteries case repurposed lol). Could get split (Like those 11/11 shows) to introduce the Beika and Edoka groups separate; although I want to disperse them out across the regions though...
Future chapters would be introducing the prophecy more solidly, and cause there are more gods in Genshin (dead nearly all of them are) I think there could be something to play with having non-main characters with the role and divinity.
Also some changes cause I'm not fully feeling the shrinking plot while the larger thing goes on, maybe Conan as a separate character Shinichi ends responsible for (black org guys, both to include the Detective Conan elements, and replace the Fatui as the big bads).
I'll put my idea's below with vision and dispersion and such- mostly coming from the GI x DC/MK x AK mix.
Shinichi is a detective and son of the current Tianquan Yusaku Kudo and retired Inazuman dancer Yukiko Kudo. A once arrogant prodigy now humbled by the responsibility of caring for Conan. Unsure how to ‘raise’ or care for Conan, and because he doesn’t really understand how normal children are, isn’t fazed by Conan acting older than he is even though everyone else is weirded out; ends up becoming the de-facto mentor and guardian of the Detective Boys aka Conan’s friends who are very supportive of their sick friend. Uses gadgets invented by ex-fatui scientist Agasa.
>>Vision: Cryo; primary use is kickable objects and evidence preservation.
Conan is the adopted little brother [in practice more like a son] of Shinichi, infected with an erosion-like illness after the Black Organization experimented on him.
>>No vision.
Ran Mouri as daughter of a famous ex-Kanjou Commissioner detective-turned-sake-house owner Kogoro Mouri and lawyer Eri Kisaki, now working in Liyue as a martial arts instructor.
>>Vision: Electro.
Sonoko a fontainian noble/business heir, well-connected merchant; voice for the Liyue-Fontaine commercial bridge, always dragging Ran and others into wild (sometimes troublemaking) plans.
>>Vision: Pyro.
Heiji Hattori a Sumeru “detective” famous for using both scholarly and streetwise skills. Moves between Sumeru and Liyue to tackle international mysteries, sometimes clashing with Shinichi.
>>Vision: Dendro, primarily used for nature-based evidence.
Saguru Ragnvindr-Hakuba a Mondstadt detective that frequently helps the knights.
>>Vision: Anemo.
Kogoro Mouri an Ex-Kanjou Commissioner, owns a popular sake house and information hub in Liyue.
>>Vision: None (he always failed to be chosen, but it’s a running joke—he’s salty, makes excuses, secretly still proud of Ran).
Aoko, Natlan. (I want to preserve her friendship with Kaito - I think they make better pseudo-siblings than a romantic couple like Gosho lol? But maybe something like pen-pals or Kaito being a traveling magician or maybe something else.)
>>Vision: Pyro.
Kaito, traveler prob. Traveling "merchant", Magician, straight up just a thief, or a traveler lookin for something (pandora).
>>Vision: Geo. Although Kaito seemed like he would fit perfectly with anemo abilities, he instead commands geo; with his high IQ and command of Geo, he creates machinery using only the ore found in the earth (I think it's too much maybe but idk Gosho doesn't really explore that whole 400IQ thing.)
Saguru, Shinichi, Ran, etc are in their early 20s (I grew up with these characters since I was 12... I'm 24, ageing up is a must); Kogoro and similar aged adults are in their 40s-50s; watched Conan and Detective Boys are 7-8.
The Black Organization, centered on Inazuma, replaces the role of the Fatui in this world.
Karma acts as an additional, natural, force that causes problems throughout the journey. The idea is that the karma left over of the death or sealing of gods during the Archon war, the death of sovereigns, and the fall of Celestia has backed up the lay-lines [like a clot in a vein], ley lines run through the abyss which naturally absorbs karma from the lay lines, but even though those like Xiao and Skirk who purify by fighting it [I think I got this idea from Cyanide Narwhal by trashcanwithsprinkles lol] or Venti who purify and heal with song, and other forms of region specific arts, have been dealing with the block through their own methods, the karma is still coalescing into demon like spirits and malady's.
>Because of a friend, I read MDZS a few months back; a part of me wants to expand Liyue with Xanxia elements. Maybe the other regions with stuff from what they are based on. But Natlan is kinda a mess of several indigenous cultures so idk how well that would work.
Tbh not sure if there would still be Visions without Celestia... hm. Oh yeah, Celestia.
Taking place millenia after the Traveler Lumine completed their journey and left with Aether. With the fall of Celestia, the Fatui have fulfilled their Tsarista's goal and now serve as just Snezhnaya's military, and the Tsarista left the position–a Tsar [secretly Childe, now immortal as a result of acting as the hand that dealt the final blow to Celestia via all 7-gnosis power-up (I abide by that one wild theory, if you know you know)] now leads.
>>Obv means any mortal character is dead, except for Ajax.
>>Archon's have either fallen to erosion or sealed their bodies away to not bother and bring disaster to their people.
>>The only canon cast still alive is Adepti [example; Xiao, Ganyu (prob), Changsheng, Guoba, Moon Carver and Mountain Shaper and Cloud Retainer/Xianyun (maybe), Yanfei (prob)], Sovereigns [Neuvilette, Apep], Durin… there might be more 'immortals' but this is the overview.
[The Chrysos Heirs are a group of individuals imbued with great power that rose up after the Gods of Teyvat fell. Fused with "golden ichor" — literally manifesting as golden blood — some of these individuals, according to the Prophecy of Genesis from the Ruler of Time, Istaroth, are tasked with plucking the Coreflames from the fallen Gods and upholding the world, also called as a "Flame-Chase."

Trailer [sad music, then at Ajax, it becomes champion-like, then a quiet romantic mythos-like tune]. Young male voice. Rough ideas for scenes for each line at >>.

>>Heavenly Principles floating over Teyvat, with the Shades of Naberius, Ronova, Istaroth, and Asmoday in front; Celestia behind them
>“Yet still, the Archon of Cryo, the Tsarista of Snezhnaya, chased the flames–leading the way under the grand undertaking of breaking this accursed fate.”

>>Fades to a sudden jump to Ajax, Tartaglia, in a rallying pose with a flag in hand as the ‘camera’ turns around despite the 2d-ness to change to him throwing a spear at Asmoday and piercing their heart. Ajax has a red patch over the upper left quarter of his face, covering his missing left eye; his normal fatui harbinger uniform traded for a more Liyuen style, though similar colors and accessories. Wild orange hair, lightless blue eyes, pale skin. Everyone and Childe realizes that means Childe becomes immortal being still alive after 1000 years - something Childe wouldn't want, for it means living without his family, his precious younger siblings. >“I have witnessed the distant past, where the blazing sun once etched the footprints of humanity…”
>>The Traveler and Abyss Prince
>“The Children of Humanity known as the Chrysos Heirs’ shall pluck the Gods’ coreflames and once more uphold the world. The flame-chase is a journey of constant loss, among which even life itself has little value. Therefore we cast even ourselves into the flame only to inscribe the open stroke of the poem of creation.”
>>A sliding screen going left to right with portraits of each of the named characters above.
Black screen title card – Khaenri'ah “The last Son of Guili”
>“In this world, the Coreflame of Contracts has already been passed on personally by Morax. This will be a romantic story like none other that has come before… you think so too, right?”
>>Dark screen, lights up light like on a gem into the symbol of Morax, then zooms in to reveal a wheat field and a man in a white, blue lined, cultivator robe and a white weimao, the veil hiding his face and revealed to be the one narrating. The man in white is 'KID' details hidden from watchers.
>>'The last Son of Guili' refers to the child of Morax. Adoption situation where Toichi, the ass, went and "died" and Chikage fucked off as she did. Kaito wandered and found an eroding Dragon (Zhongli). Child!Kaito thought it was sad for someone to die alone so kept visiting, but Teen!Kaito was followed by some bad guys (Maybe like Snake or something related to Zhongli being a dying god/adeptus) who tried to kill him; Zhongli saved his life by passing on his coreflame (torn between the idea of his mind following with or Teen!Kaito instinctually made a little dragon that only copied from Zhongli but on a super younger level or such; both have appeals).
>>Kaito calls Xiao ‘gege’ (to Xiao's confused pride and embarrassment) Xiao in turn calls Kaito ‘Shidi’. I just thought the idea of Xiao being big brother cute as hell.
Rough ideas =
Each nation should have its own problem going on for the group to handle (Kaito, Shinichi, Ran, Akako as the main group).
Tying in Detective Conan format with various cases from silly to serious, thievery to murder.
Inazuma = Black Organization set up in Tsurumi Island. Ei sick and going through erosion but not fully succumbed yet. Where is Yae Miko (mysterious disappearance).
Sumeru = Encounters with Nahida and Heiji.
Interlude, Lantern Rite = The Black Organization is encroaching again on Liyue.
Fontaine = Kaito framed for a murder case, Shinichi and Conan solving it with Detective Boys.
Natlan = Aoko. (Almost at the end of Natlan story but idk about it, not many ideas).
Snezhnaya = Going to talk to the Tsar, DC/MK cast are in trouble on Snezhnaya soil from The Black Organization. The Tsar steps in.
I'm kind of surprised during the times when people give Irontomb a human form they either make his personality either shy/solitary or arrogant/shitty and name them something like Neikos. But like, no one going for making Irontomb basically Kevin.
Think about it, either Irontomb just turns out to act like Kevin (whole World Serpent era mindset-thing with a bit of the Elysian Realm) and then, going along the lines of the Phaicest fics that include Irontomb, have him look like Phainon but dress semi-like Kevin.
Or maybe HI3 Kevin gets his mind "mapped" or "mirrored" into Irontomb (so not him, but running on his core personality, ideals, etc etc) then Lygus as usual coming in and turning up things as he did. Maybe Elysia in her own way came with to act as a "heart" to prevent things that happened in their world happening again (aka him being alone most of that time). Or his soul was full on dragged over (either before death or after).
Then in a "Herta and Screwy upload everyone's minds/memories into artificial bodies" or "everyone becomes real" AU; Irontomb also gets a body and the only reason no-one kills him then and there is cause A) Welt recognizes him, B) maybe no Emanator powers and is kinda a dude now [very powerful dude, but the Heirs believe they can handle him; whether they could handle Kevin is another argument] and think either rehabilitation or not killing a guy they think is helpless, or C) Lygus reveals that info or Herta and Screwy discover that while they were working on opening a path for the Trailblazers.
Honkai Star Rail fanfic on Amphoreus. Caelus/male trailblazer is the trailblazer.
When Caelus is ‘sent back’ to watch Phainon’s past; rather than immersive observation, he truly went back to timeline 0 before the Eternal Recurrence's, farther even, before Phainon was born. Caelus searches high and low, but can’t seem to leave Aedes Elysiae.
Lygus tells the trailblazer, “You can’t even find his parents, can you? Afterall, there may be many with eyes like his, including that young lady you’ve gained a… fondness for, but none have gray hair like he… and you do.” [Let's pretend Phai-mom has brown hair 😔 /this being true for tension]
Parallel, a 'Present'/final Eternal Recurrence cast learns about all of this through various Fragments of Recollection.
At the ashes of Aedes Elysiae, they find the final Fragment of Recollection, where they meet with Caelus '0'. When past and present come together, Phainon's mother is there briefly too, “You are the one my husband loves. It's funny, he told me so much about you, I feel like I fell for you too.”
In the end, that 'first' journey will merge with Caelus of that last cycle [soon after the acquisition of the coreflame of Cerces]. Only 0 and the last remember the stars.
Note; Caelus x Dan Heng, Caelus x Audata.
Prompt 2
At the 4,000,001st Eternal Recurrence, when Khaslana transferred to his new body, a sudden wave of disgust rolled through him. The plan failed in essence, for even though this ‘base’ Phainon is the one in control, the body he took over, and its memories, are so very very recent.
Instead of attempting to break through the scepter by continuously gathering coreflames, he decides to fully become Kephale, taking up hold within the body of Kephale that holds the scepter and slowly chip at it over the various cycles within the few decades he has of each cycle.
In the final cycle, with the appearance of Caelus and Dan Heng, the final cycle flame-chasers find him and learn of the truth… and also try to rehabilitate him among their group, to his self-hatred and fear [especially as in a majority of those initial 4 million Eternal Recurrences, he killed them.]
Shamelessly based on a theory Mina says during her 3.4 stream (even if she plays Stelle, I'm a Caelus player so 😔).
Prompt 3
They needed to create a body that could house a stelleron, what better way to achieve that than take from someone who's housed millions of the closest equivalent - Phainon.
So using Silver Wolf's hacking, the Hunters grab a bit of information from Khaslana [and of the person closest to him, Mydei] and use that to make the receptacle body.
["Want to give him a new name?" Asked Silver Wolf, referring that this new entity as closer to a clone of Khaslana with a bit of someone else rather than a new person made from both. But Kafka recognized the young man/newborn as more a son of the man and thus decided to call him… "Caelus, Caelus Khaslana."]
When Caelus and Dan Heng are in Amphoreus, a everyone lives version divergent at least for 33.550.336, during a fun side event with a few of the flame-chasers (Cipher is… somewhere, causing problems and Hyacine is handlining the first aid station) and the two trailblazers, sign up but the booth guy ask's for everyone's full names (whether it's a last name or the 'from [x] place' cause yeah there's definitely going to be someone else with the name Caelus on Amphoreus /sar). There the flame-chasers learn of Caelus' full name [it's not that he hides it, he just doesn't want people being formal with him, so he doesn't give the option].
Leads into a whole thing cause obviously Phainon recognizes it [treating it like a last name here], Aglaea knows (because of course she does), Tribbie/Trianne/Trinnon do, Mydei only because Phainon is a yearner and of course he told Mydei.
Caelus is just happy to finally have that answered (he and the others of the express learned the how/what of Caelus' creation via the Matrix, just not the who) but he's not expecting Phainon and Mydei to go along with it (considering their lack of volition). He is very mistaken.
He calls Mydei mom, because he's a little shit like that
---
Or when Aglaea does her golden thread thing, its both Caelus and Dan Heng with Mydei, Phainon, and Tribbie/Trianne/Trinnon.
She asks their full name and title stuff; Dan Heng hates that it pushed him to admit the whole reincarnation bit, Caelus spews off all his titles and overshares the matrix bit before he's refocused to his name.
Aglaea is still hesitant with them, so she has the other's stay silent on what they know of the whole Khaslana thing. Phainon would rather not, but as Aglaea says. He'll just have to work harder for everyone to become friends; also torn between 'omg I have a son now' and 'Im so proud of him (all the stuff leading from their meeting to now and all that)'.
Maybe Aglaea threads can tell the whole genetic thing or she secretly has a tests and discovers Mydei's side.
Prompt 4 [sorta - an excerpt from me babbling on discord]
Should have had the fate crossover in Amphoreus; they coulda made it work, they're making the current diner-dash esc event work.
Could have had Gnaeus as a servant. Or any of the titans really.

But also, Cu, EMIYA, and Artoria seeing Mydei. EMIYA seeing Phainon, who embodies that idea of a hero, but just without the sheer hapless dumbassery of Shiro [dude only survives cause a traumatized merc just so happened to find him and shove Avalon into him, then just so happened to activate a summoning, and so many other points]. Can you tell I don't like Shiro, I SUFFERED reading F/SN.
Servant Khaslana, Summoner Welt
Prompt 5
Deviation of prompt 2
instead of Caelus and Dan Heng driving the discovery, Khaslana is driven to emerge from the statue, which everybody obviously thinks he's Kephale [probably is at this point tbh] - everyone like 'okay by why he got Phainon's face tho'.
--Maybe during the 3.2 debate/vote/Caenus vs Aglaea thing; when Anaxa does his thing with Kephale's statue, he meets Khaslana, and this is the driving force for him to emerge. And when Anaxa gives his speech about the titans being the previous Heirs and Phainon to be the Worldbearer, he has Khaslana appear to confirm this.
Every cycle, Khaslana approaches Anaxia; Khaslana carries with him into the next cycle a repository Anaxia created that stores his discoveries of each cycles so that time isnt wasted.
I have more idea's of Caelus/TB being Akivili cause it's a headcanon idea I had since the Luofu. And I feel like its more true with the [Fables About The Stars Part 2] when hand-head says 'but who can say that Akivili, on a new journey, won't bring another salvation'; edit, I've been watching Mina's older vids and in [Fables About the Stars Part 1] the subtitles are like 'Akivili (trailblazer), depart (connect the worlds) once more'.
A small prompt would be when Kafka is getting interrogated, Fu Xuan see's the 'truth' of Caelus being Akivili yada yada, character dealing with that info then on.
Prompt 6
Caelus is Kevin [there are 2 fanfics out there with this idea, although its more coincidence than anything; I found them cause I deliberately looked for this mini-prompt]
Basically
The Stelleron runs insanely hot, it's got the power of a few thousand suns and sends off heat like it too: so, in order for the Stelleron to be housed in a body, ala Shamash style, it's gotta be pared with an insanely cold body.
Elio decides it would be best to get a body that fits the needs than make one, OR, there will be Honkai or something/someone else related to HI3 requiring someone who can deal with it.
Post-HI3 Pt1 so they pull the dead Kevin through and do a 'revive' with the Stelleron; bonus for Kevin, cause of the heat of the Stelleron he ends up actually with a body temp slightly higher than normal [I forget how canon that is to TB, but iirc TB runs slightly hotter than normal]. Stelleron gold = eyes turn gold.
Maybe the hair is still white, maybe it's an effect of the Stelleron, maybe something else.
Cause he was dead, Kevin's mind is in this sorta 'flooded state'; to use an image descriptor, its like all the memories are under the sea, in the mindspace [i'm thinking for remembrance related moments/that space where we get the spear and such] its like sandy shores [Caelus] and the sea [Kevin] that crashes over has still's of various memories on the surface like refracted colors through glass. On the side is the throne because its the aura-farming must.
Tldr; amnesia.
But despite all that, he still has the clothes, so Welt immediately realizes, Caelus clocks in that Welt realizes, but decides he wants to figure out who he is before he knows that past.
[Can't but help but ask if he was a bad guy though - and if you remember the Welt and Acheron convo you know Welt's answer].
Anywyas, Kafka names him Caelus and Silver Wolf leaves it behind as an employee-looking tag [more of a joke than an attempted cover up].
During that og scene, Kafka's also says 'this isn't quite a reincarnation, but the person you will become will be nothing like you were'. Then the 'make a choice you wont regret' thing.
Caelus, once he gets memories back, claims that was bullshit. Unless she was talking about post-moth him. Caelus is more like pre-moth him, getting his memories back leaves him still like Caelus cause while the tens of thousands of years are still there, it's like picking-up what he lost.
The memories come back during amphoreous; admin seals the Stelleron to weaken/kill Caelus, Caelus takes up the memories to push through and win [via big hug of coldness]. The poly Cae/Dan/March-Evernight have a comfort vent of all their double/past life-ish bs.
Still out here after that Nous moment like my theory continues to hold merit. Though the bit where we also see other sex-presenting Trailblazer was also like another Massive Hint. Methinks Other-Presenting TB is Akivili before they became us cause of the things they were saying.
To be honest its harder to think of prompts at this moment because I'm still reeling from everything. The obvious is "everyone lives AU" but I don't really have ideas for it. I would like to flesh out my Akivili idea more into a proper prompt.
Mpreg but also TB (I play Caelus reminder) is Akivili; Dan Heng x Caelus
So like what if Caelus gets with child and everyone is confused because Vidyadhara (Dan Heng) aren't suppose to be able to father kids. Then him being Akivili is revealed as mentioned above (when Kafka is getting interrogated) or such. And now its like "maybe the power of the aeons worked around it?" and "can't believe you (Dan Heng) knocked up a god (Akivili/Caelus)".
I just kinda hand another thought though.
Prompt 7
As Cyrene walks backwards through memory at the end and they get to the point where Cyrene plants the idea of the Hero Within but it goes deeper as double whamy, Phainon is built from the combined memory of Dan Heng and Caelus like a funky Pseudo baby. I gues Cyrene and Past Ripples are like midwives now huh.
Anyways Phainon never knows his bio-parents (despite being like both in many ways) and the parents never now their kid or even that they had one.
Prompt 8
Arknights Crossover Kinda. Mpreg too.
Phainon x Mydei; the two get together and have one last go at it before "Era Nova" (actually before 33.550.336) and Phainon, now Flame Reaver (for easy reference between the two) in 33.550.336, is revealed to be with child... after he does his hibernation thing (that's hinted at in 3.7 but they might have brought it up earlier). He only feels comfortable going to Hyacine though for this, so it works out.
Hyacine does tell the other Chrysos Heirs but only after Flame Reaver preemptively tells her its whatever, because I feel like she would have been down to sneak out and deliver this baby without anyone knowing in the name of patient confidentiality (Flame Reaver doesn't really get that name or much known iirc until after Nikador's coreflame is taken; but he's still a threat cause of what happened to Phainon's Home Town and the others Know About That, and can't recall how much more the others know though about the harvesting until after the hunt truly starts).
Flame Reaver knows he can't raise a kid in his state nor does he really think he could handle resetting the world again with his and Myde's child dying for good (this only could happen like this, this child won't be in the new world); he would, but it would be another pain on top of everything else that might hinder his mission.
So Flame Reaver tells Hyacine its alright to tell the other Chrysos Heirs' when he first goes to her about them, secretly so he can give the baby to them to pass on to a family (the intention), knowing the Chrysos Heirs wouldn't judge the baby for being the Flame Reavers.
However. Phainon being a Good Person (you truly are bby boi) decides to the best thing to do is to raise the baby as his own (not realizing the babe is actually his already in a way). This drags in Mydei.
This also leads to interesting moments as Flame Reaver finds it harder to part ways from his baby than he realized and there are many times Phainon looks in the distance to see the Flame Reaver watching the baby. Once he caught Flame Reaver watching over the baby's cradle; but he didn't intervene. (Phainon questioning what's the Reaver's deal maybe leading to other realizations or maybe leads to Mydei having two Phainons if you get my drift lol).
>>Small tangent
>>My Doktah OC developed after episode 15, before that I had another story, but it clashed with what Hypergryph has going on.
>>Doktah as the last and "youngest" child of the universe (Starborn). I've been listening to a lot of character trailer music so hmm… "The starborn [vague ideas but basically children born of the universe itself, special connection though not really 'power' per say]… But the Priestess no longer has a body, and all other's died out in their sleep (sarcophagi), leaving the Doctor of Rhodes Island as the last, and 'youngest' of the universe's children. The vermin throughout the universe watch and reach out for the 'successor' of Oracle, this one that bears body and mind, but none of the memory; this new identity ignorant of the ways of their (starborn) people and 'vulnerable' to manipulation. But don't you worry my Doctor; I (Oracle) will protect you from their lecherous hands, beat back that cold woman (Priestess), and bring oblivion to the Observers, all to fulfill your most ardent wish -- 'to save terra and its people'"
>> [With the whole Evernight and March 7th thing (Seele and Veliona too); with Dokatah... what if a similar situation popped up with Oracle and Doktah. Like Evernight; Oracle admires the amnesia self and wants to protect them and fulfill their wish. Which goes about the way Oracle is (which is a bit vague granted; maybe a little Yandere like Evernight, maybe not but still dubious morals) and carries similar idea that "The best future for her would be when I can completely disappear." - Evernight about March].
So how this ties back into the crossover is that I'm thinking of Doctor "Aster" (the name I've been going with). And in this crossover Aster would be that MyPhai baby.
Before 3.7 I had the possible idea, like many a fanfic author, that Amphoreus becomes real. And in that, this prompts would be like the backstory for this Doktah.
After 3.7 I'm not sure but maybe this is the "everyone lives AU" too. Maybe Doktah gets out as an "anomaly that should not have ever existed (cause of the circumstances)" or they were taken out before the true Era Nova by Herta and Screwy cause of the chance of his unreversible death occurring. Ends up being the only survivor in a way.

Parallel, a 'Present'/final Eternal Recurrence cast learns about all of this through various Fragments of Recollection.

A bunch of prompts I might one day use, in chapters.
Chapter 1 - Devil is a Part-Timer
Prompt 1
This one is like, really long so bear in mind. This has like, 24 pages of not even story, on google docx's, I am sharing just chapter 1 [or what would be a chapter 1] of it.
The heroes, Emilia, Emerada, Olba, and Albert just won against the demon army and king Satan. Just as they plan to strike Satan down Archangel Gabriel and his small group of angel soldiers interrupt, surprising all as an angel appearing is very rare. No one knows Gabriel on sight, only Satan is able to recognize him through Lailah's description. Gabriel tells everyone that Satan cannot be killed, and after drawing out some tension he then explains that the demon king cannot be killed because Satan is also the sephirot Da'at. The tree of life is withering, causing a lot of problems in Ente Isla and it needs da'at to function and hopefully revive it. This comes as a surprise to all. Gabriel hints to Satan privately out of earshot of the others, not wanting to reveal Lailah's actions lest heaven look bad, it is because of special knowledge and a gem given to him by the angel Lailah, who saved Satan's life centuries ago. The hero's bring Satan to the western continent to be held within the walls of the Church of Ente Isla, unsure of what to do. Satan goes along with both to understand this situation as well, not being in a position to negotiate as the heroes defeated him and his army, and to figure a way to save demons. Alciel is allowed to follow them.
As I continued onwards, I thought to revise some parts, especially as time goes on and I include parts of the novel later into this version of the world. I decided to keep the initial run as is and sometimes add these notes.
A = About 18-ish pages in, I thought maybe changing this starting point to instead have Gabriel not straight up say ‘Satan is da’at’ what with the whole secrecy thing [it started as a funny shock 1-2 shot chapters fic, but… well]; instead maybe have Gabriel start heavens ‘canonization’ [later down the page plot point, like pg 8 that you don't see here] by stating that Satan is ‘required for the grand-plan of the universe’ ah la ‘Satan is God’s opposer/adversary/necessary evil/insert whatever title for Satan IRL here’; but Maou would not roll with that BS. I don't remember if it's ever revealed how Maou knows as much of heaven he does, I have the impression Lailah mostly spoke of humans, or how much. But he probably knows enough that that wouldn’t fool him.
B = Gabriel does the reveal but also seals Satan’s power which would cause him to turn human-form, or mostly and maybe like that partial-transformation, but full-human could allow for some hero’s-hiding-the-demon-king, and, king-believed-dead plot. Gabriel binds most of Satan’s power into a sword [Basically Rin vibes] and sheathing the blade into a special sheath which would restrict Satan’s ability to access that power and cause him to turn to a partial human-form = human appearance but with horns, hooves, and wings. Gabriel only seals most and not all so as to continue hiding the secret of what demons are, he also hands a non-removable choker that glamours the demon parts away, and lies that the power sealing and appearance change are unrelated. Gabriel repeats this with Alciel.
Prompt 2; this one only has 2 pages.
Canon divergence – When Suzuno and Sadao pass through the gate of hell. Sadao was originally unable to return to his demon form because of his bond with Acieth Alla. But in this Canon Divergence, the group realized this since ‘Sadao’ never returned to his demon form despite everything going in at Chiho’s highschool Acieth bonded to Suzuno so that Sadao/Satan can have full access to his demonic power in Enta Isla.
Additional AU changes, having Chiho be college age and in college. And Emi be college age as well. Satan/Maou more receptive about Chiho's feelings [and less creepy cause she aint 16], just scared, having never experienced romantic feelings in his 300 and so years, and afraid of hurting or endangering her.
A scene = Sadao putting on his demonic clothing in preparation of returning to his demon form in Enta Isla. Chiho commenting on how sad it is that she can’t join because she wanted to see Sadao/Satan in his demon form, Sadao/Satan points out that she did back when Sariel captured her, Chiho claims that doesn’t count because of the dire situation. Sadao/Satan saying it's not a nice look, but Chiho embarrassedly/excitedly says that Sadao/Satan was very handsome and the horns and such really showed off the mysterious/mystical side you don't really get with Emi and Suzuno. When Satan leaves for the gate, he tells Chiho ‘You are everything I never knew I always wanted.
Later in the story after he and Crestia enter Ente Isla, they run into a squadron of knights making their way to Heavensky; reluctantly the knights join with Crestia and Satan on the way to Heavensky learning much about the man of their greatest fears–I love non protagonist/antagonist pov's.
Prompt 3; aka How is there not a time travel fic yet.
Following the rescue of Emilia from the Eastern Empire debacle and the subsequent interrogation of Gabriel, it is realized just how deep heaven's influence and manipulation has gone. The Landlady decides that the best way to help Ente Isla is to send someone far enough back in time to put forth an alternate narrative. She sends Satan back to when the demon world was just unified. Alone.
The main love pairing for this fic is to be Alciel/Ashiya x Satan/Maou. Third person POV.
Story brainstorming mostly, less of a proper prompt.
Castlevania anime canon divergences/continuation that ties in a lore detail from Silver and Blood. Set after season 2. Trevor x Sypha x Alucard, Dracula x Leon.
Dracula didn't die, but there's still another enemy on the horizon. The church’s grip tightens on the world and the lines between monster and man, good and evil, and more blurr’d than ever. The world believes Dracula dead, but the three heroes know he isn't, a shade of himself after everything; while Alucard watches over his father in the castle, Trevor and Sypha travel village to village dealing with the aftermath of Dracula's defeat. Trevor and Sypha discover that innocent humans and non-humans are being hunted indiscriminately and something about hinting the end-game villain Death as per s4 [dealing with memory erasing] and Alucard arrives saying that records and texts are vanishing from Dracula’s library. Note = Carmilla, as per s3, is the mid-game villain
Retcon for AU; In the past, Mathias actions did not directly lead to Sara Trantoul's death and he even tried to free her, unsuccessfully; because of this change, Leon was more susceptible to Mathias and didn't denounce every creature of the night--rather instead, Leon and his descendants, the Belmont family, balanced going after evils like Walter and supporting non-human's that were peaceful [‘Hunt Evil, Not Blood’ instead and down the line that would be the reason the church would use to burn the Belmont estate in Trevor's time; so basically canon but more valid sorta]. Leon let Mathias stay with him in the recently, at the time, constructed Belmont estate and even let Mathias drink his blood [which they embarrassedly discovered Leon to be very receptive too in a pleasurable way]. The Belmont estate housing refugees – both human and monster, leading to a town of the mix popping around the estate; like canon, there are many records and such here noting all sorts of things, one being the revival ritual that Sypha finds.
In order to deal with the church and the hunting of innocent humans and non-humans alike limiting options and time, Dracula’s depressive episode, curiosity, and restoring the legacy – Trevor, Sypha, and Alucard bring back Leon Belmont. They do so by reviving him as a vampire through a ritual involving his blood, that Dracula had saved following Leon's death [in this world, blood is a carrier of memories that can be used to resurrect an individual as a vampire and tied to the one that resurrected them] but Dracula could never bring himself to do that to Leon. It is only in these circumstances that he lets Trevor, Sypha, and Alucard do the ritual; though he carries great regret. Alucard convinces Dracula to do the spell, arguing that Dracula knew Leon best and for most of Leon's life [Maybe tease earlier on of Alucard discovering/or revealing what he knows of Leon and Dracula, maybe Leon has a loving painting like Lisa = I saw a post that said Dracula painted Lisa’s and maybe did Leon’s in the hold too and I’m here for it].
A bit of reaction from the world as the progenitor of the Belmonts now back and stronger as a vampire… Kinda, in this Leon killed Death, but Death can't permanently be killed so he reformed some centuries later [or maybe this is canon and I forgot.] The idea of Death fearing Leon, the only one to have ever defeated him [so far] and make Death truly experience death. Dracula's pain and mourning of all the people he has loved and lost [Elizabeth, Leon, Lisa, Alucard in a way], and of his actions. His reluctance to confront Leon directly in his guilt in allowing Leon to be resurrected, as a vampire, despite the necessity. Leon not wanting that to happen and to help Dracula. Leon being proud of Trevor and Trevor ‘Totally Dealing With That, For Real Guys’.
Carmilla’s thing s3 but with vamp Leon. Then tease Varney at the end of Carmilla’s thing. I’m not fully sure what to do with Hector and Isaac, but I think having Hector and Lenore end up with the protag gang [initially Lenore trying her diplomatic approach with Leon, while Carmilla wants to kill him–Leon is a man, a Belmont, and the one that defeated death].
Death’s actions are going to be more driven by fear of/revenge on Leon since Dracula isn’t dead. Not sure what to do with Rebis, maybe Lisa and Elizabeth but iirc one soul has to be male? Part of me wants to figure out a way to get Lisa back so we can have a threesome of Dracula x Lisa x Leon; I think Leon and Lisa would love each other [even platonically outside of this fic]. Still have Saint Germain, maybe him seeking Leon out for any old knowledge or such.
More on the Silver and Blood thing = The essence of life lies in memory, and blood is the vessel that carries memories. The Embrace is the ritual of reliving life by extracting the memories contained in the blood. A sample of the deceased blood is taken to make a blood crystal, the crystallization of ones memories before death, that acts as the foundation for resurrection and a covenant that binds the individual to the summoner. In some rare cases, if the summoner adds some of their blood, a resonance occurs where summoned and summoner feelings are felt across a bond.
For this AU = The ritual is a vampire ritual used to bring the dead into their forces or as a way to save/revive someone (even if its as a vampire), thats been around for a long time and is still somewhat practiced (especially during Dracula's war).
Rough sketch of a line: "Hunt evil, not blood. That's the Belmont creed. Whether vampire, beast, or man. And I don't mean the civil shit like thievery or such. But the supernatural side; the curses, the reviving of the dead, sacrifices, those kind of evils."
Last note, I could never spell Sypha’s name right and had to copy-paste the name.
Prompt 2
Similar in not having Dracula die, but different Leon coming back aka can you tell who my fav Belmont is.
Dracula didn't die but became withdrawn so Death has the soul of Leon Belmont and Lisa Ţepeş [two of Dracula's old loves; Lisa his wife, and Leon the one he loved and never acquired] to possess the Rebis as a means to drive Dracula insane and start his war again.
Part 1; Following the destruction of the Rebis, Leon and Lisa wake up in their original bodies, naked in the middle of a field near the ruins of the Belmont Estate [with Dracula's Castle nearby]. Leon and Lisa introduce themselves to what's basically a stranger. They don't really say anything for, and stare in the distance for some time as they adjust [Lisa thinks to herself that she's been dead for a year, maybe two, she can't imagine how much worse it is for Leon who died nearly 500 years ago].
They head to the ruins to acquire clothes, and as they rummage through the ruins Leon finds the Belmont crest embroidered on burnt clothes and etched on broken walls and sadly realizes the ruins are of his descendants home which Lisa heard about it from a patient [leading her to rush back to Vlad and finding him angry at the church and despairing over the loss of Leon's descendants/what little he had left of Leon] that she tells Leon about.
Kinda want Lisa to tell Leon that one line Judge does [“They changed the ending,” she said. “Now it’s: ‘The Belmonts aren’t here anymore. So behave, or the monsters will eat you.’”] cause Idk, want to do Leon's rection to the legacy his name has become and this seem's like a simple/easy/quick way to do it.
So, my understanding of OUAT is shit, so I would never actually write this, but the idea came to me in a dream; tying in my headcanon/mashup of Peter Pan lore replacing the canon version. Then it turned into canon cast reacts.
This is the most undefined/I read a lot of wiki pages and rewatched that Billiam series fic prompt [and I have seen episode 1 and 2]. But Idk maybe you'll like my Peter.
I have like 6 prompts about this [I take my interpretation of the literature and otherwise characters, use the show's plot of Evil Queen's curse/Storybrooke, and do my own thing. Its wild, its chaotic. Shit happens.], I will not be sharing 2 of them and you'll never know why.
Will I ever watch Once Upon A Time? Probably not, and I think that makes the following funnier.
I hate the whole Malcolm plotline so nearly every prompt is just [Peter Pan isn't Mr.Gold/Rumplestiltskin's father] cept for the canon cast watches kinda.
Warning I guess for Mpreg, idk.
Prompt 1a
While I do recommend going back to my previous post where I talk about Peter Pan; for this post it should be known 3 important things.
1 - Peter as an embodiment of belief, drawing on various sources including og Barrie stuff. Belief as a magic source [though this is adjusted to fit into the OUAT Magic rules].
2 - Hook as a Lost Boy before leaving and growing up, a few things but one of the few good ideas of the 2023 live action. [This is where the love comes in--childhood loves, Hook leaving to become a good man/partner, returning to see Peter still a boy and forgotten him; kinda like Wendy in a she grows up but Peter doesn't; which you can imagine the pain.]
3 - Peter as an adult is primarily post-events Peter Banning from Hook 1991.
Season 1
Peter is one of the many who forgot and lived in Storybrooke.
Peter Pan [Peter Jones] and Captain James Hook [Killian Jones], in their lack of memories, fell in love and married. Peter ran a daycare/orphanage. Henry visits, cause Peter is one of the few that listens to him [even if Peter doesn't believe it].
Peter isn't quite or reserved, though he understands time-and-a-place, but he often offers help and a place to stay at the orphanage/daycare [The Second Star Orphanage] for those needing sanctuary; less someone who always pushes himself into people's problems and is more someone the others gravitate too for his knowledge and advice.
Peter and Killian offering Emma a place to stay at The Second Star Orphanage.
Note = in Storybrooke, Killian uses a prosthetic hand most of the time.
Note 2 = Lost Boys as some of The Second Star Orphanage kids; Felix big brother energy and relaxed. Called Peter 'mum' once in jest and kept to it when Peter gave a ridiculous reaction.
Season 2
Tying in more of the struggles both with themselves and with each-other, especially since Peter's magic [in theory stronger than Ragina's power, and with his memories back now] can return him to boyhood.
Peter and Killian also have a lot more memories to deal with than the other people in the town due to the nature of Neverland, on top of Peter's preventing of him growing up meant he lost memories [to learn and experience is part of growing up] but now as an adult even those repressed memories are returning [loosing memories takes time and requires him staying in boy form for long periods of time]. Early on, Peter uncontrollably reverts to boyhood and must discover whether he wants to return and how to [relief, but also fear of forgetting husband and family, and frustrated/heartbroken at not being able to be with his husband as a boy]; he doesn't lose memories immediately but the longer he stays a boy the more he loses.
Peter regains control of his magic by emotionally coming to a conclusion of staying with Killian.
Later in the season, around the time of August return, Killian and Peter decide to have a renewal ceremony, everyone gets involved in planning and setting up over the next episodes, though the ceremony doesn't happen until after Greg and Tamara activate the fail-safe and the town saved.
Note = Hook never meets Cora as he's in Storybrooke.
Replacing Enchanted Forest Hook with Jack Sparrow, since he can kinda fill the same roles, Killian did, even if the personalities are different. Also, Jack is cool.
Season 3
Fairies are the tragic antagonists, "Everytime a child says 'I DO NOT BELIEVE IN FAERIES' there is a faerie somewhere that falls down dead".
For Peter, season 2 was about accepting adulthood and realizing he doesn't have to abandon wonder, season 3 is about accepting his childhood and not resenting or fearing it. Peter's fear of possibly returning to boyhood causes his shadow, willy thing as per the Barrie novel, to fuck off when they reach Neverland, inhibiting Peter's ability to fly. Returns when Peter accepts childhood and returns to boyhood to save Henry, now without the threat of losing his memories if he so wishes.
Season 4
Note = Removing the romantic subplot of Killian and Emma, replaced with Regina and Emma because everything I've read/heard tells me they shoulda been endgame.
Season 5
Camelot's broken state and Arthur’s obsession be a result of the Author's meddling, and not the truth of the Kingdom or Arthur [Still a boy king].
When Killian's becomes a dark one, Peter insists on his love and he and Killian share an intense/rough night before Killian's death and the Underworld arc, leading to a shocking reveal [a baby] by Hades as they return home. Hades not evil, simply very serious of his job [not letting souls easily go] and slightly resentful of Olympus [more akin to the Supergiant version].
Peter joining on the quest in Camelot, bringing Arthur to the orphanage to be able to play with boys his age and experience more of a childhood until Arthur has to go back.
Season 6
Captain Pan baby born; a girl they name Wendy.
Season 7 - aka I watched Hook 1991
Peter Jones/Peter Pan and Killian Jones/Captain Hook, have a second baby (a boy named Liam)
In Hyperion Heights Peter is Eric Banning, an actor, and Killian is James Banning, a Navy Captain, Felix Jones is Faust Banning, Liam Jones is Jack Banning, Wendy Jones is Maggie Banning.
Prompt 1b - Canon cast watches
Canon characters [Emma, Henry, Regina, Killian, Snow, Charming, Rumple, Bell]. They find an artifact that instead of making a new realm it shows them a new world--the AU. Have the Canon cast watch as though standing in the same space as the scenes, but as watchers [they can't interact and can't be seen].
Note = Reactions would be part reacting to canon stuff and au stuff; that Canon characters will be noting and semi-reliving events that they lived through in canon [the wedding of Snow White and Charming + the curse], and some instances that they don't know of canon to their time [such as no one but Emma knowing about the date or what Henry first meeting her was like in canon], or know about but most haven't seen themselves [Mary's volunteering at the hospital and meeting the sleeping Charming].
Canon Peter and Felix were pulled in for some-reason, somehow [mystery set-up for the mirror].
Moving forward for clarity/condensing: {} = Canon, actually happened in the series stuff; [] = Watcher stuff. Anything not in that is AU stuff.
The fog peels back to reveal one of the kids rooms in The Second Star Orphanage [the canon cast looks around]. AU Peter opens the rooms door walks in [none of the canon cast realizing who he is, not even canon Peter], a youth about 25 years old with long wild orange hair in a ponytail and wearing soft green dress, hums and sings the 'second star on the right' song --canon cast not recognizing the song but taken aback by the obvious reference to Neverland = the second star to the right--as AU Peter pulls up blankets and folds them. He pulls back a curtain to look at the north star as though looking for its second on the right then heads down--[seeing this the canon casts wonders if this is just a random lost boy].
The canon cast follows AU Peter through the orphanage and AU Peter is picking up laundry; [Canon Peter seems to start getting an idea, but he doesn't say anything, just tensely watches; no one notices Canon Peter, thinking he's just being his usual self, but Felix watches Canon Peter].
AU Mary’s entrance and the conversation about Henry as they walk. [Realization that this is during the first curse.]
Children run by, nearly knocking him over, they yell 'Sorry, Peter' [cast hesitant, 'there's no way'.] AU Peter huffs playfully and chases after, shoving/pushing the blankets onto AU Killian who was resting after repairing a window. 'Shoving the blankets onto me you insolent youth?' 'says you you old codfish' [cast realizes that that is a version of Peter Pan though not yet the relationship]. Old, gone, faces appear like Graham, knocking on the door with a kid.
[Taking a moment to adjust to all they've seen so far. Especially with their canon Peter, others slowly noticing and realizing canon Peter's feelings.] Note = While I understand it might not be proper canon, I have this idea that he would be a mix of angry/sad at how much better as an adult this AU version has it, even if it's under the curse. Am I wrong? Yeah.
Mary leaves and Peter heads to the kitchen. In the kitchen, helping a kid with her nightly snack is AU Felix. AU Peter teases him and AU Felix jokingly [still somewhat stern/quiet like canon but warmer] calls AU Peter mum/mother in response [watcher's reactions; surprise and laughter at 'mum/mother' of all things].
Next day morning routine. AU Henry arrives.
A scene based on We Own the Night from the Finding Neverland musical = AU Killian playing pirate as the kids try to 'save' a laughing Peter. [Watcher's reactions to AU Killian/Hook playing pirate], Kids with fake swords and costume animal ears--the scene reminiscent of Neverland Lost Boys vs Pirates but in a lighter atmosphere.
More of AU Killian and AU Peter Pan. AU Red bursts in, AU Red called AU Peter Pan 'Jones'. AU Killian pulls AU Peter Pan to his side by the waist; a sexual innuendo--something about AU Peter teasing AU Killian for being old and AU Killian says to AU Peter Pan about how spry he can be, and a kiss that leaves AU Peter Pan a little red and pouty. [Canon cast realizing AU Killian and AU Peter Pan are married. With a focus on canon Peter and canon Killian's reactions].
[Interlude - Fog returns and the cast gets a moment to process everything.]
Episode 1
For this, I would condense the flashback scenes into one thing at the start.
{S1EP - Pilot Open within the characters' past/a flashback; on the wedding day of Snow White and Prince Charming}. AU Captain Hook decked out in his full red regalia, and AU Peter, still a boy and not yet grown up by the curse. AU Peter gives AU Snow flowers from Neverland. [Watcher's taken aback by just how small this Peter is, barely 8 and not like the more teen-like of canon Peter] But AU Peter still wrangling kids--this time the lost boys. [A moment of Emma clutching at her heart at the cuteness of tiny AU Peter giving AU Snow the flowers - 'he baby'.]
[Canon cast/watcher reactions especially with the appearance of AU Hook and of the wedding itself].
The Evil Queen arrives and delivers an ominous threat about a powerful curse she intends to release upon them; she look's to Peter and says something about belief, hinting at the difference between canon and the au.
Some time later, a pregnant Snow White is worried about the curse and visits Rumpelstiltskin; Peter by her side [watchers see AU Peter and AU Rumple interact as cordial and curious]. Rumple mention's belief again, to the watcher's confusion [deducing]. AU Peter flying about occasionally [like the books], but feet are still dirty from eternal playing.
The bit about the wardrobe.
Curse activation = Open with Neverland in this AU; the mermaid lagoon, the natives and Tiger Lilly, the Jolly Rodger and its pirates singing shanties. Longshot on AU Neverland and its differences to canon - such as it going colorless when Peter leaves/taken by the curse. AU Peter feeling something shift when the curse hits. Cut to the curse rolling in over everyone else.
An interlude with the watchers after everything, then at the end continue the pilot in present-day Boston with Emma Swan.
Everything proceeds as outlined in 1a, just with canon cast reactions; which I do have outlines for ep 1 and 2, but this is getting long already.
This went on real long so imma shot fire the rest.
Prompt 2 - aka it would have been better if they did this [or had Peter be someone's brother if they so desperately wanted Peter on Henry's family tree; thats canon to the og books. Peter leaves as an infant, lives with the birds and the fairies, then wants to go home only to see bars at the window and a new baby in his crib, so he goes back to the faries and the birds to be eternally young.]
OUAT AU. Peter Pan isnt Rumplestilskin's father, but rather his son.
Peter ran away from home, not wanting to grow up [Kensington Gardens].
Setting: Storybooke. Peter Pan as Malcolm Gold, Mr. Gold's teen son.
Prompt 3 - He didn't intend for it to happen at all, didn't know it could.
Malcolm didn't give up his son, and he didn't send him away when he became Peter Pan. Malcolm, Fiona, and Rumple live in a shack at the edge of town where Malcolm does odd jobs. Malcolm sad and angry at the world, but always worked hard, hiding the worse of the aches some jobs left him from his son, and told magical stories to his son; an adult who hadn't forgotten what it means to be a child.
To sever Rumplestiltskin's Savior ties, Fiona does all the things she does in canon--the change here is that a great sacrifice must be made, instead of the shears, and Fiona sacrifices her husbands memories and some of his years to reduce and trap Malcolm as a boy; he is found by Tinkerbell who names him Peter and takes him to Neverland. [Fiona is then banished for severing Rumplestiltskin's Savior ties as per canon].
Peter is no longer a villain, but just a boy with a lot of belief and overtime, as the island accepts him, a lot of power.
A resourceful big brother, a scared kid with adults that puts on a brave face, parental but not a parent anymore [and he can't remember why, doesn't understand how caring for the lost boys is so natural].
Rumplestiltskin attempting to find out what happened to his father, then finding his father. Dark Magic arc.
Season 3; Peter not as the antagonist, Greg and Tamara trying to destroy Neverland too.
What if in the cavern, what Gold/Rumple reveals is the spell his mother did on his father; what if Peter was also there and stuck like the others. Afterwards, Peter is still just a boy, but now knows the truth of his past, and he tries to connect to Rumple again; doing fatherly things in his boyish way.
Prompt 4 - You but a bunch of teens together, all boys or not, and something is going to give.
Henry is the son of Peter Pan and Felix [no Malcolm plot; again, I really hate that/esp the way they did it].
Conceived in a manner that comes from leaving teens unsupervised [teen couples getting touchy and not understanding contraceptives; not a gender bend, the impossible magic of Neverland is entwined with Peter, sunny when he's happy/stormy when sad, gray when gone/alive when there; 'Neverland is a place of dreams with Pan at the belief center, as long as one kid in the world don't know that men don't get pregnant, than its possible in Neverland'].
Peter getting round and the lost boys running around and trying to do their hideout in a way that's good for someone pregnant but it ends up looking more like an animals nest; and catching Hook's attention, leading the pirate to harshly (concerned because for all that Peter is a devilish brat, he's also just a kid/teen) give advice and help.
Peter and Felix send Henry away so he could get older and not stuck as an infant in never aging Neverland. But the Evil Queen adopts him, taking him to Storybrooke, and the magic surrounding Storybrooke means Peter is unable to find Henry.
Season 2 = As Emma, Mary, and Hook get to storybrooke and meet up with the others and Hook sees Henry for the first time again in storybooke (With a shock, the sort that is more like a 'huh' that real surprise, and a bit if sadness Hook says something along the lines of "Oh, you're Pan's and that lieutenant of his, boy, yeah?"
Primus’ true form of Cybertron is ill and his body disrepair from the Functionalists [the leading figures who claim that the ‘Will of Primus is that what a bot transforms into determines their lot in life’] deliberate ignoring of the lowest class [who were closer to his true surface under the various false layers]. Primus’ put's his body into stasis to let it repair and rebirths his spark amongst the Cybertronians thus becoming Nova. Primus' didn't really pick a couple in particular, just sent his spark out.
Nova [cheeky, smart, friendly. The sort to think the best of others] is the son of Rung and D-16, raised on a higher level with his carrier Rung–while his Sire D-16–later known as Megatron, is hidden from Nova’s knowledge for 'Nova's safety'–as the Functionalist would not approve of a higher and lower class bots having a child.
At first it was Nova and Rung, when Nova's powers showed in a toy brought to life while Rung wasn't looking, surprising and frightening the new carrier. Rung immediately brought him to his trusted friend and old college Ratchet [Ratchet would repair Orion and D-16 early on before Orion went on to be an Archivist, D-16 split off from Orion and Ratchet before he met Rung, so Rung never met Orion, and Rung only confided in Ratchet about Nova and his sire].
Ratchet, noticing something, asks his friend Orion Pax to come over with Orion Pax's teacher Alpha Trion as Ratchet didn't know the prime personally but knew he might know something.
Alpha Trion reveals that Nova is the reincarnation of Primus–to the extent that Primus can reincarnate, essentially projecting himself into a next life; his Spark simultaneously existing as Nova in Nova’s frame and as the Allspark in the core of Cybertron. Rung, Ratchet, Orion Pax, and Alpha Trion decide to keep this hidden until Nova is older and able to grasp the consequences and also to not burden the young bot with the legacy of his past life.
More after break.
Alpha Trion takes on the role of Nova’s mentor–training Nova in the arts and sciences, all weapons, and his powers disguised as an ink manipulation ability [Ink isn't Nova's direct power per say, it is how Alpha Trion teaches Nova to express his divine powers, hiding the ability of creation under the veil of a outlier like ability, and hiding the truth from the world, especially the Functionalist Council, and Nova. To Nova, he is just an outlier with the ability to manipulate an old medium].
Nova usually manipulates the ink to do things like weapon manipulation, pulling him long as he glides on top, and creating little ink creatures to something as mundane as just using the ink to grab something for him.
Nova’s lessons grow more challenging as he gets older. Nova [more akin to a young teen now] entering normal schools in the morning [immensely intelligent, bright, friendly and just a little cheeky], and tutoring with Alpha Trion in the evening.
Nova's best friend is Hot Rod who knocks on Nova's windows for entry to whisk him away for some fun–with Rung’s consent of course, Hot Rod is a gentlemech. Hot Rod becomes something like a big brother to Nova and in turn Nova brings Hot Rod to his home and family, letting it become Hot Rod’s home as well even as Hot Rod has difficulties staying, he always returns.
Nova just became a Mech/Adult, and is beautiful and the upper echelon notices. 'How has that ornaments sparkling grown so beautifully.' [Kindness and cheekiness in the face of the nobles wants and desires]. Subtly introduce and highlight Nova's divine aspects of his appearance; Nova wondering what he wants to do with his life [taking up helping Ratchet in the clinic].
However, during one of the hoverboard races Hot Rod dragged Nova to, a group of rough types knocked an older bot [a bit of a legend in the underground circuits] Nova helps that older bot, even putting the older bot in the front of the hoverboard so that when they crossed the line, it was the older bot who 'won'. This pisses off the rough types and they attack Nova–who was trained by Alpha Trion in mind and battle, but never had been in a real fight–eventually they throw Nova into the lowest levels where the miners, and the gladiatorial pits, are.
Nova is rescued but is forced to pay back by participating in the fights. In the lower levels with Megatron's perspective; Among his personal effects, was a code key [an item Megatron gave Rung to pass on to their bitlet Nova] marked with the symbol of D-16—now Megatron, the arena’s greatest gladiator and a legend among the oppressed. Seeing an opportunity, Clench [head of Arena] decided to use Nova to control Megatron, revealing Nova’s identity to Megatron but keeping Nova himself in the dark. Megatron see's Nova when he's carried in and Nova's first Arena fight [HIS child, greatest joy he's ever known, with parts of Megatron's beloved Rung and more terrifyingly, parts of Megatron. Revealed after Nova gives his name, Nova a designation/name Megatron said back when Rung first revealed his pregnancy and before he sent Rung away; Megatron was surprised that Rung went with a name he picked and overwhelmed by it when Nova gave his name.]
Nova's pov; In the arena, Nova awakened something ancient and inhuman within him, a dangerous joy that he struggled to suppress. Even as he fought for survival, Nova remained true to himself: kind, honest, and determined to help those around him, even in the darkest depths of Cybertron. Nova's unyielding kindness, cheekiness, the other gladiators [at one point 'im a healer' Nova tells an opponent and patches their wound], and the slow build toward Nova and Megatron’s growing connection [teachers like fathers/sires and vice versa].
Parallel to previous, Hot Rod and Rung after the race. Rung clinging onto that Carrier-Creation sparkbond that all Carrier-Creation's have, and the still living, even if worn, condition of Cybertron itself (the true body of Primus, if something happened to Nova, reincarnation of Primus, it would reflect on Cybertron), that let's him know Nova still lives. Hot Rod comes back with rumors of an 'angel of the underground' who's being taught by Megatron--once known as D-16.
Rung reflection: What does it mean to carry Primus Reborn. Fear and relief that D-16 and Nova are with each other.
Rung accidentally let slip that D-16 is Nova's sire to Hot Rod.
The pit boss [Clentch] isn't happy at the reputation Nova has made that clashes to what said pit boss has encouraged, a bloody painful spectacle, so he pits Nova against Overlord. Parallel, Hot Rod gets closer and sneaks in.
The Arena fight. Nova using every trick he has. Up top, Cybertron/Primus's field has started acting up in conjunction with the fight and the scientists (such as Preceptor) notice the field is fluctuating like one would in a fight and slowly discover that while Primus' spark is still in the core, it is simultaneously elsewhere (a resonance). Concurrently to all this, Sentinel Prime and Prowl is attempting to crack down on the pits and has a crew sneaking in to live stream back to Kaon's Security Services Headquarters what's going on. Nova loses and is severely wounded.
Nova feels… something; a ball of memories, a well of power, his resonance outside of him. Overlord goes for the final blow. Away from the security Perceptors readings spike and the science team (noe to self: search up more transformer scientists I know like 4 and one is super evil); concurrently the security leans in and the security team, streaming the arena and watching back at headquarters, watch as the next thing occurs.
Nova/Primus reveal. A pulse of power and of the planetary field like a rebellious song, Nova's wounds healing, a glowing biolight-like paint in tribal-like style appearing over his frame Allspark colors, and the silver goes gold. As Nova stands he summons an ink spear that has the ink dripped off to reveal the Spear of Primus, the symbol of Primus surrounding the pupil of his optics.
Small cut to Science Team as they realized Primus reincarnated when Primus went into stasis all those years ago. (Could they though?)
Nova doesn't fully understand what's going on, and he's running on adrenaline and a bit too hyper focused on the fight, but he pushes forward in his usual style.
Continuing the battle Nova's/Primus' divine abilities free and shining, still healing and not yet recovered from all that put Primus into stasis and reincarnation (power limit) yet especially as the Council keeps it going, but divine all the same.
Culmination, end of the battle. Character reactions to the reveal of Nova is Primus (especially Megatron and Hot Rod and Rung [through the carrier-creation bond and the planetary field fluctuations]). Reverent, agast, etc.
Fall out. Focus on Nova in his 'room' no longer in the high of a fight [fear (at nearly dying, whats going to happen now), disbelief (he's Primus??), what about his life/family/friends (There's no way his carrier didn't know. Nova was raised by Alpha Trion who should have said something.)]
Hot Rod coming in and reaffirming their brotherly bond. Nova breaks down and sobs against Hot Rod ("Roddy…") so afraid, but so happy that Hot Rod treats him the same. Megatron stepping in, unsure if he can, if he should, but worried. Hot Rod lets it slip that Megatron is Nova's Sire.
"Let us leave… That means you too, mr. big and brooding. You got a sparkmate to make of the one who birthed your bitlet and waited all this time for you." -Hot Rod. Pit boss trying to stop them, "Primus and I got a deal."-Clench tries to stop them. But they walk into the sunlight. End.
Recap through Rung's POV.
On the way Nova runs into old racing friends.
Megatron and Rung meet again after 90 years. Basically the "would you fall in love with me again" song.
Nova and Rung, seeing each other since Nova left with Hot Rod for what was supposed to be just a simple race, but turned into everything else. The trauma of the arena and being apart, the fear of divinity. Hot Rod slips away to a Ratchet who waits in the distance, Megatron stays close but steps away.
Nova, stubbornly, returns to working at the clinic to mixed results. Back at the house, Rung opens the door to another courting gift from an overreaching Noble for Nova with some religious offers from all sorts. Concurrently, the council convenes.
A ball is set up with every leader and prominent figure to attend; Primus' presence is asked for (read: basically demanded). With all the political and religious conflicts and interests, the ball was set up. Nova reluctantly goes, but he stubbornly (and maybe a little childishly) has a guy he met at Maccadams Oil House make the ball outfit, and brings Drift (a low caste bot and racing friend) as his plus one [He’d take Hot Rod, but it’s weird having your pseudo-brother as your plus one]. Nova gets into a heated scientific debate with a knight who isn't allowed into the science castes, being a fighter jet alt, and isn't afraid to talk back--cocky even (Starscream Armada/IDW 2005 mix). As they talk, someone speaks to Drift that ‘For all that he blusters with that sharp tongue, they say he speaks not a word on the battlefield; and that for all the battles he’s won, he never unsheathes that sword’.
Nova becoming increasingly ill from spillover of the neglect and decay of the lower levels is literally poisoning his true body [Cybertron]. Nova must decide whether to use his divine power to forcibly reform Cybertron’s structure immediately or slow-burn inspire a movement; ends up becoming a more public figure by publicly become Starscream's sponsor in sciences. Nova also uses his history of singing to make a public spectacle of himself that clashes with the Council's and other parties attempts to control the narrative making clear that he believes freedom and choice is the right of all cybertronian’s. Concurrently, Megatron’s movement grows from whispered rebellion to open insurrection.
Through all of this, Nova’s struggles under the weight of expectation and trauma, fearing he will become as detached and stubborn as Primus once was. Rung and Ratchet work to keep him grounded, Hot Rod reminding him that Nova's whoever he wants to be, Starscream not really caring about that and just being very forward with Nova [Nova is both Nova and Primus to him, and neither name will stop him from just saying whatever]. The slow-burn chemistry between Nova and Starscream. The rekindling of Megatron and Rung’s relationship threatened by the revolution’s violence.
The Great War of Autobots vs Decepticons is on the horizon. Eventually the story will go into the Great War itself.
Prompts Chapter 5 - Percy Jackson and Other Mythology stuff [Xena the Warrior Princess is mixed in]
Ares is a mix of a lot of things, cause pjo just did not with him; so he's more Xena based with what we are able to gather from hyms and short appearances, and a few other things.
I have complicated feelings and am leaving it at that.
Anyways here's this unhinged Prompt. I initially thought of this idea for Xena with Joxer x Ares, but shifted after a bit too long spent listening to the musical.
Overview
Ares is tasked with hiding away with Zagreus, son of Hades and Persephone, for protection against the titans. Which means Ares has to hide away, even from other gods; and as Marcus Chariot, a work at home parent in a two-story bakery and home combo in the city dressed in softness. Aunt Hestia taught him to bake centuries ago to help relieve stress and anger, it quickly gained a popularity and all the Gods got excited when he baked back in the day, even got to the point other gods would ask for 'Ares confectionaries' and in one memorable instance as part of an important trade [Ares still can't believe his father made a serious deal with Horus over his pies… and Horus accepted with equal seriousness] for centuries and Hermes still will rave about the pies if asked; it became a tool that helped later down the line, an unexpected boon.
Ares will do his best to raise Zagreus… if only humans didn't mistake him for a scholar just cause he would spout obscure facts of a random item he passed by at the street market because some shopkeeper was trying to scam someone and said something so atrociously wrong Ares couldn't help but speak up often enough that people come to him and ask. Ares answers but he hates people thinking that and insist it's just that he has a good memory (and what he doesn't mention is that as a god who domains are so involved with humans, he is simply around them a lot to see these innovations and events) not that anyone believes that thinking he's just humble. Oh, and that Jackson brat, all grown up and a marine biologist, is here too as "husband".
[Established Annabeth x Percy, Slow Burn Percy x Ares, eventual Annabeth x Percy x Ares.]
More chapter-by-chapter esc.
Zagreus doesn't know his true parentage, nor who his 'parents' really are [just sees them as Papa Marcus, Mama Annabeth, and Father Percy]. The only gods aware of where Ares is, is Hermes, although Zeus and Hades did task Ares with keeping Zagreus safe. Demigods and monsters still appear, even at the bakery. Its just they do so for the hero duo Annabeth and Percy, not their ‘fully-mortal’ 3rd partner ‘Marcus’. Annabeth is an architect and is out working most of the time.
Flashback with Ares accepting Zagreus [or start with it then jump].
The identity of Marcus only came into being a year before Zagreus [preparation to make the plan seem less suspicious] the bakery soon after. Percy and Annabeth helping make the identity of Marcus. Zeus and Hades asked Percy and Annabeth to take on a special task and its risks, then only explained Zagreus and Ares after they agreed.
Add in some of the other demigods. Lighthearted, emotional scene between each of the seven and the ‘human’ Marucs, husband of Annabeth and Percy, and a pseudo father to them and even many camp-half blood kids.
Marcus slowly starts to get a reputation as a 'scholar' even as he protests that he only has a good memory. Ares indulges in questions, but he still pushes back against people calling him a scholar. Ares didn't seek knowledge, he's the god of war, courage, civil order; he was the patron of the guards, Ares was a god steeped in humanity, and he remembered. Zagreus ask for his favorite myth, Marcus favorite myth is the unknown Joxer. Continue from Percy’s point of view, building on his shifting perceptions.
More of the mortal life/slice-of-life section, sprinkled with Percy doing demi-god stuff even as he prepares for his job as a marine biologist. Zagerus is 8, Percy and Ares have been raising him and pretending to be a loving couple for 8 years… the first 2 were full of fighting since the two still hated each other then, but now they still fight but more like a married couple they pretend to be.
Marcus and Percy as external threats begin to circle their peaceful, temporary sanctuary. Love deepening, a kiss with no discussion. Just like their fiery arguments becoming fond bickering, it just was. Annabeth x Ares, but still new, not quite love in the way Percy x Ares or Percy x Annabeth is. Continue with the trio fortifying their home, with one of the demigods—Nico or Hazel—stumbling upon a clue that Marcus isn’t as mortal as they believed.
Marcus, Percy, and Annabeth realizing they need help and bring in their friends, the other seven [those who were alive anyways, rip a real one], and Nico and Hazel since Zagreus was their brother.
The demigods as they come to terms with what they've just learned. Marcus, someone they've all came to know in the last 10 years, a mystery that arrived and married Percy and Annabeth with Zagreus soon after. Marcus who they just saw as the husband of Percy, the boyfriend of Annabeth, the papa of Zagreus, a scholar though he denies it and a baker.
Flashbacks, emotional moments with remembering lighthearted times conflicting with the memories of Ares/Mars. ‘Marcus had never pretended to be mortal with them. But he’d also never declared what he was.’
The others ask about Clarisse, daughter of Ares. Ares admits that Clarisse didn't come, especially all the way from Arizona, because she figured it out and just never said anything. Which surprised everyone, even Percy.
Marcus finally speaking openly about Joxer, Xena, and the life he lost. Reminiscing leading into a flashback of when 'Marcus' arrived, a seemingly normal mortal man that Percy and Annabeth loved. How all the demigods leaned to him, like they would for Chiron. Steady and sure, knowledgeable, who spoke only when spoken too [reflecting how little he spoke or appeared in myth].
Full flashback chapter. More of Marcus interacting with demigods--the 'mortal' love of Percy and Annabeth, the father and mother in one, war in soft clothing who shared food and advice and corrected false information. The wedding with the other seven and a few demigods sneaking in, to watch Marcus, unfairly beautiful and in an old Grecian wedding dress. They fought on who would walk him down–Marcus picks Clarisse. Secretly things are still tense between Percy, Annabeth, and Ares, but they are pretending and they are slowly loving.
The Present Returns. Zagreus, now ten, begins asking questions and getting answers--maybe not Ares, but everything else.
Zagreus starts discovering more pieces of his mythic identity. He's 11 and it's time to send him to camp half-blood. A few chapters of camp bonding and challenges first - Marcus settling in at camp as a baker while Zagreus is there for the summer. The new demigods getting used to Marcus like the older ones did, a few of the older ones cheering at Marcus return, ready for wisdom and good food in one.
Marcus in a more vulnerable moment with Percy and Annabeth, a growing intimacy--all the kisses and wild way Percy loves [swinging Ares into hugs and dances, a bright seashell he picked himself for Annabeth]. Ares hasn't been with anyone in 15 years; there are no young Ares kids in the cabin.
