To say that Selina is surprised is incorrect. She’s hardly baffled or put-off by what’s happened--after all, hasn’t she been telling people for years that Superman was too straight laced? Too goody two shoes? He was bound to explode. Unsurprised but also unprepared is not a position Catwoman finds herself in often, and it makes her skittish. This is Defcon 5 or whatever, and no one had a backup plan.
Where the hell is Lex Luthor when you need him?
She’s checked in on her people--either directly or indirectly--and has a grasp on her bearings. Step two is duck and cover, because this shit... it’s about to explode. Clark Kent and Superman both outgun most of the JL without even trying, and frankly, Selina doesn’t want to be there when someone tries to stop the Rogue Boyscout. But that doesn’t mean other people don’t have their own plans.
