The fire escapes of the weak man
The mistake of imagining Dominants as men who have temper, men who are extremely passionate, get what they want whenever they want ââsince they are big, strong, sexy men (not necessarily), they have to be tough, and lustful etcâŠââ, is unfortunately a pretty common misconception. I see especially young females who claim to be subs, make this mistake constantly. Itâs partially because of movies, I strongly advice men to watch that Fifty Shades bullshit, and do the exact opposite of what that rich dommy does.
Strength has very little to do with physical appearance, and it has absolutelty nothing to do with a man who acts like a bomb, ready to explode suddenly, thatâs actually the opposite of strength. Dominants (the real ones, not kinksters) are silent, they can control their emotions and even your emotions if you let them.
Anger and Desire, on the other hand are like drugs, that can kill you slowly, every single time you fail to exercise some patience and instead let them consume you, itâs like youâre abusing yourself, body and soul.
A man who canât even control himself, canât be in control in a D/s relationship, and certainly canât control his woman when she needs him to take control, he can only abuse her, just like he abuses himself with his anger and desire, that he consistently fails to control, because thatâs all the knows.
Nobody is fireproof, and you canât always prevent a fire, Dominants though, they know how to use an extinguisher properly, intead of jumping on a fire escape immediately, fire escapes are overrated, they can never solve a problem completely. Some people think letting anger have itâs day is agreat stress reliever, it is on a short term only, on a long term it spoils a relationship and it is exercising weakness really, Dominants have no such luxury, and even submissives for that matter.
Dominants who can control their impulses and show patience, even in tough situations are safe havens, silent and strong is a way to go in our world, forget about the loudest guys in the room, their roaring is not a sign of strength.
