Zag Studios registered the Season 5 episodes in ISAN (International Standard Audiovisual Numbers) and because of that, all the titles were leaked!
You can see a pattern in each title, and it's that each one represent the power of the Miraculous...
And we will have an episode #27!
the interesting thing is that the titles are all emotions, adjectives, etc.
this is unlike ALL of the prior seasons where the episodes were titled after akumatized villains (with the rare acception of titles like Gabriel Agreste, Gang of Secrets, etc.)
maybe the entire season will be a battle so there isnt a single villian theyre up against
ORRRRRR
maybe they defeat hawkmoth so there would be no more akumatized victims for the eps to be named after
... although this would raise the question of what would happen to their superhero identities--if there’s no villian what are they gonna do? we’ve seen that they patrol in general and do stuff like help get cats out of trees but can stuff like that fill an entire season
we also need to remember that children are the target audience so despite there being a darker and more nuanced overarching story, it’s not likely that they would make this season entirely character development/plot based-- it wouldnt make sense to kids watching that the superhero aspect would take a backseat

•we should talk more about the fact that Marinette is going through being threatened to be bullied (by Lila) and has no one to support her. *Adrien is the only one to know about Lila but it’s not likely she’ll confide in him so she’s gonna have to bottle this all up & without people believing her she won’t be able to defend herself well.*
•this is on top of her being constantly picked on by Chloe, being supportive to Adrien’s interest in Kagami even though it’s breaking her heart, going through school, helping out at her parents bakery, being her class’ rep, and oh yeah saving Paris.
•and on top of all this she also has to repress her negative feelings about these events because otherwise she is at risk of being akumatized…
this aged... well?

After the jealously and the mockery in Animaestro, the bullying from Chloe always and being threatened by Lila in Chameleon all while going through school, being her class’ rep, helping out at her parents’ bakery and saving Paris, Marinette deserves this adorable break with kitty section and baby blueberry boy Luka

I’ve had previous posts analyzing the stress that Marinette is under & for all the faults this show has, they executed this final expression of stress really well.
In classic marientte fashion she wants everyone to be happy and sacrifices her happiness and puts on a front that she’s fine.
She says “I’m fine” but then the facade comes down
And she expresses what all of us have seen throughout the series. She’s tired.

the gradual weight of all this on Marinette’s mental health is one thing I am going to commend this show for showing
I have some issues with MLB but...
Marinette has had several breakdowns and just had a panic attack and while it’s harrowing to watch a kid go through it-- I do like to think that it means kids will have a concept of anxiety
Kids will know that many people can experience attacks, how to comfort people when they are enduring a lot of overwhelming emotions, and that it doesnt make you weak
Marinette had a full on panic attack and I was not ready to witness that
It was so bad that Adrien had to say “fuck this secret identity bs” and walk in to comfort her. It’s too bad she left.
Marinette has had at LEAST two break downs in this series... she’s just a kid...

tbh i’m glad we are back to Ladybug and Chat noir as duo with no other heroes … i loved their dynamic in S1 and it will be so much fun to see them again as equal pair again is S5 after everything that happened. Now that Ladybug realizes the depth of Chat’s feelings and he saw her fail and be vulnerable…. It’s different from how carefree and light they were in S1, I love to see that development. I know why they said S4 ending is not heroic and happy, but I am not depressed at all, I am very much looking forward to the next one.

So at this point I just have to assume that every interaction Marinette and Adrien have is Adrien thinking that Marinette is a god of weird, surreal humor.
Why did Marinette give me a pottery wheel and then immediately throw it in the garbage? Because she's hilarious. Marinette's turning my car down because she's taking coleslaw? lol bon appetit. Marinette calls me hot fifty times in weird stuttering sentences before ultimately answering my question with something normal like "yeah dogs are great"? She's so funny. These are the greatest jokes. I never have any idea where these conversations are going and I love it.
I honestly can't even blame him. I'm taking back his oblivious card. It's so much better in my head that he just thinks she's the funniest girl in school.
