The first Dragonborn

I'm trying out gouache paint for the first time. It's so much fun! It's like watercolor but more pigmented and more opaque.

I also bought this little portable watercolor kit, took out the watercolors, and replaced them wirh gouache. Then I made myself a cute color chart 🙂

Question of the week: What are their disabilities/conditions?

This question came to be by a suggestion of a friend

I often think about how with so many different people out there, there are also so many different conditions, which also can manifest differently from person to person. A missing leg, short sighted, chronic pain, depression, epilepsy and many more. So, today I ask you what are their disabilities or conditions? Were they born with it? Do they need aids or some medicine for it? How do they feel about it and does it affect their life?

In this case also includes scars, if you were wondering. Also noticed a bit late conditions could technically apply to Lycanthropy and Vampirism too, but I leave that up to you whether you feel like it's applicable to your OC's case!

All of my TES characters have varying degrees of PTSD and reactions/triggers.

Severine has a thing with fire that stems from her first life as a half-Snow Elf dragon cult member. She was burned alive and hated fire for a good bit. She also hates shock magic due to the Thalmor using it a lot during her battle with them. She has carpal tunnel syndrome and elbow pain from using bladed weapons and magic a lot.

Ezio has a chronic cough and elbow pain from being a blacksmith since he was six (an apprentice but still) He also gets trigged when seeing blood due to his time as a Vampire Lord

Livya hoards food as a coping mechanism due to the Red Year resulting in a horrible famine for her family and in her never having enough food as a kid/teenager. Also carpal tunnel syndrome from magic overuse!

Aethan does not like people standing behind him due to the Blades stabbing him from the back. Also he has a head injury that has cost him hearing in his left ear and tinnitus in that ear as well.

Tskiri now hates the ocean due to the way she got to Tamriel and has a head injury from the shipwreck. She has headaches, memory issues, and tinnitus as a result.

Kaira has permanent nerve damage on her right hand, fingers, arm and shoulder due to fighting a sea serpent and having an injury that didn't heal right. It alternates between numbing tingles and burning pain at times. Also back pain going to her right leg.

Oh this is a good one!

The only OC I have that this applies to is Justinian, so here's his situation-

He isn't physically disabled in any way, but he does have a scar. It goes across his left cheek and on his chin. He got it when Prince Naemon turned into a monster and Justinian fought him. It was very painful, but other than permanently marring his face it has no other effects on his life.

Mentally, however...he's dealt with a lot. He has PTSD, partially from the Prophet (turns out when Cadwell said that the Prophet was a part of Justinian now he meant that very literally) and partially from his own experiences.

The Prophet would always have horrible nightmares due to his torment by Molag Bal and his time reading the Elder Scrolls, and Justinian started having those same nightmares. It terrified him, since he had no idea where they came from and the pain was as real as if he'd felt it himself. But he didn't find out where they came from until his time with the Aldmeri Dominion was over, and so he suffered in silence for a long time. And even after he found out, it didn't change anything.

He also added to the trauma when he returned to the Imperial City, and now he can't be in/around an arena without freezing up.

As far as symptoms go and how it affects his life, it was worse at first. Over the years he learned to tolerate it better, though the nightmares and pain have never gone away. And he hides it very well. No one knows about his experiences, and as much as he wants to tell someone about it he can't.

That was long haha, thanks for the prompt though! This was such an interesting one and I loved sharing this.

I'm doing a reference sheet for her right now, and this one is her the most simple clothing in which she would sleep, wear under her armor or train in when she is alone.

She wouldn’t actually wear this in public, simply because it’s pretty worn out at this point lol (girl has spent all her money on armor) and she prefers her body to be fully concealed anyway

I love reading stories about OCs and their relationships with canon characters from games, alternate histories, and the like. BUT! I don't read fanfics. Because if I start, I'll get too absorbed and starve to death. And I still want to live and draw. so sorry about that.

Right now I have about a dozen webcomics saved for later that I want to read, but I can't find the time. I solemnly promise (to myself) that by the end of the year I'll sit down and read everything I've saved. By then there'll be a nice backlog of updates.

What I'm doing: Trying to fit character figures into in-game screenshots. An experiment. Once again I realize I've only learned 10% of Ibis Paint. Layers! All the time I wasted using just two or three. My eyes still dart all over, the number of layers annoys me, but it's so convenient.

Plans: Keep practicing, practicing, practicing.. Finally switch to PC and download a proper program ._.

Question of the week: What are their religious beliefs?

Worship and belief aren't lacking in Tamriel, there are many different beliefs from the different races and cultures. How one goes about it also differs from person to person. Not all deities are looked upon to kindly from the general population. So, who do they worship and why? Is their religious belief deeply intertwined with their personal life? Do they practice ancestor worship too? Is what they belief even something more common?

As with most Heartlander Imperials, Justinian has a rather impersonal view of the Divines and thus doesn't really worship them at all. He knows they exist and doesn't have any issues with them or their followers, but you won't see him inside a temple praying. This is pretty standard attitude where he's from, so I guess it's common in a way.

Daedra, on the other hand, well that's a different story-
