for @tes-gala --my Vestige, in a dress that represents both the Serpent and the Shadow; alcohol markers/colored pencil/various inks on paper
(i'm posting it now bc i want to have at least something up before the Gala ends, and i am realizing that there is just no way i'm gonna finish the whole set of drawings i had planned between now and tomorrow night, no matter how much i want to! there are not enough hours in the day and i am also getting major hand fatigue 😅)
now for the lore behind my design:
i chose both the Serpent and the Shadow for her bc, as the Vestige, she has little to no memory of her former life before being murdered by Molag Bal, and so has no idea what her original birthsign would have been. the Shadow is an obvious choice for her both as a thief and a nightblade, and bc her past is hidden from her. there's also the fact of her technically being a Daedric entity now instead of the human girl she once was, casting a shadow over all of her experiences: a feeling of not quite belonging to the world again despite being in it. the sheer black overlayers in the skirt of her gown, as well as black being the main color of her look, were meant to represent the Shadow.
the Serpent is obviously represented by the snake that wraps around her body as a sort of belt and necklace. i chose the Serpent because of the way that as a constellation, it attacks and disrupts the other starsigns at random. for the Vestige, this symbolizes the way that her life was disrupted and the nature of her existence changed by Molag Bal and thus her original birthsign being lost to her. i incorporated it into her look by having it wrap around her body and throat to allude to the violence of both the Serpent constellation and her being changed into the Vestige.
the background is meant to be a bit of Fargrave-- as someone who is not quite a Daedra but also no longer a normal human, i imagine that of all the places she travels in her adventures, Fargrave and its sort of liminal nature feels very comfortable to her.
a close up of her face. i REALLY wish i could get better photos of my art! it always looks so much better in person. the best way i have found is to put smaller drawings in my scanner, but this one is 14×17" so doesn't even come close to being able to fit in the scanner 😭 and tumblr makes it look even more like buttcheeks...pls click the images to see them looking a little better at least 😥
i will probably finish the rest of the drawings i had for this event at a much slower pace, amongst my other projects and after i let my wrist have a little break 😅
Kagrenac sketches (for no reason)
Trying to reveal his character, to me he is extra smart and kinda pretentious (like Sil) and I'd like them to be friends tbh.
Yes, I gave him long sleeves and long curly hair (but not too long), don't ask me why
Still testing his appearance, it is not final
My Last Dragonborn in her usual armor. It’s cool so I wanted to draw her in it even though it was a pain-
I like it though! Not so much the background but we’ll get there-
here’s most of the art I’ve done for my evil HoK OC: Celeoniss. I realized I forgot to give a character intro for him on tumblr so see below! I didn’t expect my villain to be so popular, so thank you all for the interest! I’m still figuring out how I want to draw him so forgive the wild variation here haha.
Celeoniss is both a protagonist and antagonist in my story. This is a really brief touch into his lore and I’ll try to keep it as short as possible.
He parallels/contrasts Alyanmir (my LDB) and, in a different way, Marielle (LDB’s daughter).
(I’ll put celeoniss’s early life at the end since it’s not something anyone but he knows during most of his story)
Celeoniss left Alinor for Cyrodiil as he craved more freedom and wanted to escape the rage he felt at home.
The Oblivion crisis convinced him of how helpless and useless humans and the empire were. He returned home to Alinor to* ultimately help the thalmor overthrow the monarchy so he could start shaping the world more in his vision.
He finds the more power and knowledge he accumulates, the more life bores him.
He begins craving more games, entertainment unpredictability and chaos
He prefers to use a gentle but manipulative hand to guide the world and objects of his attention to his vision, but will use violence and fear when it’s a better option than his mind games.
He is capable of fondness and affection for others. He usually has one object of attention at a time in one shape or another. Be it his children, an apprentice, or a “partner.” He jokingly considers it a weakness, but, particularly as he transitions towards boredom from the pursuit of power, he becomes more and more obsessed with playing with whomever is currently in his sights.
Notable partners: the mother of his children, Martin, Erthor (very briefly), Mouse
The mother of his children knew you did not want to be the center of his attention and never married or even lived with him beyond what was necessary for child rearing.
He has four children. He convinced his eldest (and most obedient son) to mantle Sheogorath for him, but finds every passing year he has less and less control over him as his son completely disappears.
I draw the Mouse era frequently because it represents a turning point in his life. He just helped Calcarya (his apprentice and my Dragonborn’s mother) take over his position leading the thalmor party so he could take a less active advising role and focus on his magic experiments. With less responsibilities, his more lawful evil origins really started eroding here. He really latches onto this international fugitive spell thief assassin that broke into his house as his new game (and fun secret to try and keep from his peers). In the original universe I wrote, she was how Marielle and Daphne were related to Celeoniss, but in the main universe Marielle is not related to him by blood.
Celeoniss has sold his soul for power to three Daedric princes. To escape paying his debt, he decides to just not die. He was not a fan of traditional lichdom and discovered away to live on his progeny using them as wisdom and intelligence batteries to sustain himself as is. He hoped his son mantling sheo would help him weasel out of his contracts, but did not realize his son would basically completely disappear into sheo almost immediately.
During the second Great War, he steals Marielle’s ear which allows him to access to possessing not only his own bloodline, but hers as well. He has a primary plan on how to use the Montaxs to his favor against the princes, but also has plenty of back up plans as well.
Early life celeo that the other characters don’t know about:
His father was a court mage for the royal family. He was able to take celeoniss with him to work nearly every day since celeo was basically also his apprentice. He has no idea it would cause celeo to start questioning who deserved to have authority over others.
Celeo’s mother was a ceremonial priestess in Alinor. He only saw her during her time off work and cared less for her. But she did accidentally teach him that religion’s primary purpose is to control and manipulate others :/
Celeoniss’s father died in the oblivion crisis in Alinor as he was far too old to actually be in active combat but wanted to do as much as he could to protect the young mer around him that still had their whole lives ahead of them.
When Celeoniss found out about this, he flew into a rage and was convinced the royal family ordered his elderly father into the gate to die. He had fleeting fantasies of regicide his whole life, but thought he was finally moving on.
I’ll avoid yapping too much but basically Celeoniss kills everyone in the monarchy while lying to himself saying it’s for social justice but he’s really just pissed his dad died.
he’s pan and vers and genuinely awful even though he’s very friendly about it.
And the Argonian is done - looks like Orsimer (Orcs) are next on the poll.
Bretons are my favourite race and you guys are going to make me paint them last 😁 - but, I’ve made my bed, so excuse me while I tuck myself in. Orcs it is!
The timelapse this time is of the feathers - a thing I was looking forward to painting all the way from the sketch phase.
Hope you’re all well!
I see so much good Oblivion content on here it makes me desperate to play it (the remastered version cause graphics) but my PC can’t handle it and it’s too expensive to upgrade so it can-
It can barely handle ESO sometimes tbh.
When I play Skyrim I do this Thing. I don't know why. Maybe it's that I like these little digital people who follow me around. Maybe it's that I always play self-inserts.
But I do this Thing, and I organize the things I carry myself, and what I hand to my followers according to their personality and what they'd like.
Uthgerd never carries my books, or my spells, or my staves. I give her leather, furs, bones sometimes. I just... Think she likes them.
I do the same with other followers like Lydia, so I never understand personally comments about carrying all of your garbage. I know most do. And stuff is heavy! But for me, that's just not what followers are to me. I don't hire them when I play. They're companions and friends (and lovers in one special case haha) and I like to immerse myself that way.
Iselrimo! 🖤
Moments from my head part 1.
The Prophet acted as a stabilizing force for Justinian as he grew into both his role as the Vestige and his role as a hero. They didn’t always get along, but The Prophet always cared about Justinian more than he let on.
Anyways, backgrounds are hard and I did my best but I still don’t like it-ack.
“ The best swordsman in all Morrowind is at your service!
… For the right price.”
I wanted to focus on a close-up of Brelyna and Aelion, almost like a still from a film.
The piece took about three weeks and two days to complete, even though it started as a quick sketch. The background ended up being the most challenging part.
Last month I was focused on painting and general drawing studies. Right now I want to shift my attention to anatomy – I think that will help me work faster and more consistently.
Thank you for your attention 💚💙
Bravoyn finally has a character sheet :]
🐛 thanks to @donemer for the template!
Basic Main Character Overview Sheet
Sometimes, to me, very detailed character sheets are –to put it lightly– overwhelming. Even I don’t know half of the things listed on them. But that’s just because detailed character planning is not my style. If I micro-manage my character from the get-go, I feel like I put them “in a box” and like they cannot grow within the story.
I suppose, if I were a parent, you could say that I release my children out into the world with little-to-no guidance and just stand on the sidelines, taking notes of what happens to them. Which is why it’s probably a good thing I don’t actually have children.
So, I use the following character sheet for my main character(s). It is very basic but covers a lot of the “big stuff”. I’d thought there had to be other writers out there with the same process as me (hopefully lol) and maybe if you’re one of those writers, you’d like to see other examples of basic character sheets.

Class Mastery passives, coming with U50
As a way to combat the mandatory feel of subclassing, ZOS is planning to implement a class mastery passive system only accessible if your character is not subclassed. You can pick 2 of 5 passives with where the system is now, preview of some below
This is a good starting place for trying to reward pure classing without needing to wait for every class rework to get the DK treatment with having good interclass synergy!
