Sorry for coming back n posting a bunch and then kinda disappearing again. Gonna post a lil like. Life update under da cut for anyone interested
My health has been a bit wonky for a couple years now since I tried
Long store short is I’m struggling pretty bad with a what has been assumed to be a panic disorder right now that I’m starting to suspect is not just a panic disorder.
Im experience episodes of what feel like low blood pressure, particularly after eating lunch in the afternoon or in the evening after dinnner OR 1 hour after I fall asleep. I literally wake up feeling weird and sometimes it triggers a panic attack and I’m having chest flutters and standing up feels incredibly uncomfortable. There was an episode at my school where I stood up slowly and my vision went dark and I had the strongest head rush of my life before I quickly sat back down to recover. I got taken to a bed to rest in for a bit before I left to go home.
I’m getting an at home sleep test done starting around the 7th of August to figure out what’s making me wake up every single night almost exactly an hour after falling asleep, and also getting an upper endoscopy done next week on Tuesday because I’ve been feeling full quickly lately and frequently feel bloated after eating. I also have a second appointment on Tuesday in the evening with my usual doctor because I’ve also started seeing starts when I stand up significantly more often than normal, on top of an incident where I nearly fainted at school a few months ago.
People do not typically faint from panic attacks so that’s when i realized i wasn’t just crazy and something is actually going on maybe in my body.
It’s been hard convincing my doctor it’s not just anxiety because that’s the easiest thing to diagnose when I am a woman on Lexapro :/ I will admit I have a panic disorder and health anxiety but I will also say that… the thing that is triggering my panic disorder is not caused by my panic disorder. If that makes sense.
The hard part was I couldn’t describe what I was feeling when these episodes have been happening. Pressure in my chest but no pain? Until I had that episode with my vision going dark I had no idea what fainting might feel like because I’ve never experienced it, but it wasn’t an experience I would call “lightheaded” or “dizzy” more like an intense and sudden pressure rushing into my head :/ as my vision went dark … what the fuck is that??
