Hello, could I request headcanons for CG!Dark Cacao with baby!Dark Choco, please? I'm... a huge sucker for the "parent caring for their regressed child" troupe... but it's okay, if not! Thank you, if you decide to do it!

Cg! Dark Cacao & Baby reg! Dark Choco Headcanons ☆

- [ ] Dark Choco regresses involuntarily due to trauma. His bad past and his complicated relationship with his dad, has a lot to do with his regression. As well as his experience working briefly for the Cookies of Darkness.

- [ ] So, when Dark Choco mends his relationship with his dad, and he finds himself back in the home he once knew, but thought that he would never get to see again. He suddenly feels very small. A strangely nostalgic, yet sad feeling in his chest.

- [ ] It first happened one night, when Dark Choco woke up from a very particular nightmare. Face full of tears, he leaves his room to seek out comfort. His fuzzy mind didn’t even comprehend what was happening, all he knew was that he wanted ‘Papa’, so he found himself at the king’s door.

- [ ] Dark Cacao did not know what was happening. All he knew was that his son’s face was full of tears at his door and trembling. And all reservations went out of the window, his parental instincts kicking in to immediately bring his son into his room and hold him to his chest while wrapping them both in blankets, his hands gently combing through his son’s hair.

- [ ] Just like he would do when Dark Choco was a child and would have a nightmare.

- [ ] And then it turned into more occurrences, when his son would sometimes go quiet and wide eyed. And Dark Cacao would see glimpses of the little boy he raised, and would immediately place a gentle hand on his shoulder and soften his voice without even thinking about it. And it seemed to work, his son would immediately cling to him, that panicked expression going calmer, while maintaining that innocent look. So, Dark Cacao would keep an eye out, just in case his son needed him.

- [ ] It was later, much later, when he and his son would have a chat, that they would both realize it was age regression.

- [ ] For Dark Choco, it is a second chance at a childhood that was cut short. And for Dark Cacao, it was a chance to right the hurt he and his son had caused each other. So, to both, it was both healing and comforting.

- [ ] Dark Choco’s regression varies of age depending on the day, sometimes he would be a teen, a kid or toddler. But his most common one is regressing to a baby dough, especially on days where his stress would take a toll on him.

- [ ] Dark Cacao would take out a box of old toys from Dark Choco’s childhood and have him play with it, especially his old teethers and baby items. He had kept each and every item, even after their initial falling out.

- [ ] Sadly, his old pacifier is a little too small for him now, so he went and had a custom paci made just for when Dark Choco was regressed.

- [ ] On particularly bad nights, Dark Cacao will hold his baby dough while feeding him bottles of milk. Dark Cacao will tell Dark Choco stories, and the little one will listen until falling asleep. Each one less or more complex, depending on how old his son is feeling at the moment.

- [ ] They both keep Dark Choco’s regression private, it is as simple as Dark Choco seeking out his dad silently by the door, and the king would immediately understand. He would excuse himself from whatever he was doing, and go care for his son.

- [ ] For once, they do not focus on sword training, like much of Dark Choco’s childhood was based on. But rather, take the time to actually spend quality time together.

- [ ] He also takes a chance at explaining ‘why’ he must wield the sword. Since, that had been his greatest regret at what Dark Cacao felt he had failed to teach his son.

- [ ] He lets his son play. He did not do that when he was younger, but he encourages it now, and sometimes even joins him. Dark Cacao rarely lets himself feel comfort, especially as a leader and king. But he will make an exception for his little one.

- [ ] And their father and son relationship has grown better because of the regression. Even while his son is big, they are able to speak to each other with a lot more ease and fondness.

- [ ] The guards and other castle staff seem to notice something going on, but no one ever questions it. They are simply happy that their king and his son seem to be doing better.

- [ ] Crunchy chip is an involuntary regressor and pet regressor! He regresses due to trauma and inner child healing.

- [ ] His little age is between a toddler and kiddo, and in very rare cases, he regresses into a baby dough.

- [ ] He’s a very energetic kiddo, which means that having a calm caregiver like Wildberry serves as the perfect contrast to keep him from causing too much trouble.

- [ ] He’s an outdoor kiddo and loves exploring, things like hiking and playing in the forest or snow. Most of the time, he drags Wildberry around by the hand. In cases where he wants to explore, though, Wildberry lets him run ahead as long as he is still within eyesight. He likes grabbing cool rocks he finds and giving them to Wildberry as a gift.

- [ ] As a toddler, he’s often found playing outside as well, though his smaller mindset keeps him from going on more complicated hikes. He’d usually be found waddling around while playing tag or hide and seek, often forcing Wildberry to play with him if the two are alone.

- [ ] As a kiddo, he is less clumsy and is able to do fun things like climb trees, hikes, or catch critters.

- [ ] Caramel Arrow Cookie is his sibby. She will often play with him while little and will serve as an older sister to him. She will babysit him when Wildberry is busy with his job as Hollyberry’s bodyguard.

- [ ] Crunchy Chip will also often be caught playing with his cream wolves outside, while little, he offers himself the luxury of playing with them and petting them. Which he will usually never be caught doing while big, since it makes his wolves ‘soft’.

- [ ] There are rare instances where the little one gets tuckered out after so much playing, and when that happens, Wildberry will carry him while Crunchy Chip snoozes with his face on the crook of his neck (he will never admit he cuddles close to Wildberry when he wakes, though).

- [ ] Wildberry will slip Crunchy Chip’s favorite paci in his mouth, which he only uses during nap time or when regressed to a baby dough, bundle him up in a blanket and let him sleep with both Wildberry himself and Crunchy Chip’s cream wolves surrounding him and keeping the little one safe.

- [ ] Wildberry is a calm caregiver, one of very few words but always at the ready with any gear his little one might need.

- [ ] Little! Crunchy Chip can be quite distractible and forgetful, which means that Wildberry is usually on top of things like gear and food the little one might need while playing outside. He usually packs snacks and a sippy for him, which Crunchy Chip is always happy with, given that he is not a very picky little one when it comes to food. He can be quite messy, though, so Wildberry usually cuts the food into smaller pieces so that his little one makes less of a mess.

- [ ] When Crunchy Chip is a baby dough, it is the only time he is ever calm. He will usually be found sleeping with a paci, being bottle fed by Wildberry or put in ‘tummy time’ with soft sensory toys to distract him while he is awake.

- [ ] Wildberry, while already quite the protective caregiver, is even more protective when his little one is as small as a baby dough.

- [ ] Crunchy Chip also sometimes pet regresses! When he does, he regresses into a puppy.

- [ ] He’s very loyal towards those he loves, and can often be found roughhousing (he calls it training) with his cream wolves when that happens.

- [ ] He’s also extra eager to help those he cares about, and (embarrassingly for him, he never admits that he does this) will perk up at the mention of a ‘treat’. He also has the habit of chewing on his hands, so Wildberry will give him a teether/chew toy to help with that. Or a piece of food that is extra chewy (gum, licorice, etc.) if they are in public and need to be a little more subtle.

- [ ] His puppy space also causes him to have a more happy and excitable personality.

- [ ] I like to think that not many people know about Crunchy Chip’s regression, because he is a little embarrassed about it. Wildberry was the first to find out while the two of them were hanging out and Crunchy Chip had involuntarily regressed, the other’s calm response had the little one feeling a lot of comfort in his presence, which then evolved into him becoming his full time caregiver.

- [ ] Apart from Wildberry, the only other two people who know about his regression are Caramel Arrow Cookie and Dark Cacao (he had not intended for his majesty to find out, but it happened during a mission and he would have rather not put himself or anyone else in danger, so he came clean. Dark Cacao was very understanding and even became a babysitter to him when needed.)

- [ ] I imagine Crunchy Chip regresses involuntarily a lot more often after the Dark Enchantress War, and his caregiver, babysitters and sibbies are there to help every time.

Agere! Elder Faerie Headcanons ʚ ɞ

- Flip (caregiver lean)

-Elder Faerie regresses because it brings him a sense of comfort. As a very wise being (in the sense that he has lived for a long time), doing things that remind him of when he was younger brings him a sense of ease he lacks while big, taking away some of the many responsibilities on his shoulders, even if just temporary.

-When he is little, he mostly regresses to a baby dough or a kiddo, no in-between. And his little age varies depending on the day.

-When he is a baby dough, he often likes laying with his wings wrapped around himself, reminiscent of a blanket. It brings him comfort, like that of a cocoon.

-He is a quiet baby, often preferring calmer ambiences, like those of nature.

-Visually, though, he is prone to liking shiny baby sensory toys. Ones with lots of glitter, bonus points if it is silver, light blue or gray colored. The bright lights are able to catch his eye and entertain him while in such a small fuzzy state of mind.

-He is also prone to using pacis or teethers while in that state, as the sensations help soothe him further in that state of mind. He quite likes his baby space, because it serves him a break from having to think, he can simply be and feel, and be as small as he likes.

-When he is a kiddo, he is still calmer than most, but is prone to actually move around and walk. You will often catch him walking around with wide eyes, as he views the scenery and trees. Or even climbing up on the trees, sitting there and giggling. He likes sitting with his wings open and feeling the breeze through them. It is harder to fly when he is regressed, but he finds the sensation fun regardless.

-As a faerie, I imagine that Elder Faerie also loves music of any kind. As a baby, he will be soothed to sleep by soft lullabies or wind chimes often found in the faerie kingdom. As a kiddo, he will often hum to himself, sometimes an old fae song from the times where he was younger.

-He used to regress a lot more often back when the beasts were still virtues, as those were times of more peace.

-During those times, I imagine that Salt of Solidarity was his caregiver.

-In more recent times, with his duties as the guardian of the silver tree, he rarely is able to regress voluntarily. It is White Lily, during her time in the faerie kingdom, that becomes a new caregiver for him and coaxes him to regress in order to take a break.

-I imagine that some of the Silver Knights would serve as babysitters, when his caregivers were not around. Among them would be Mercurial Knight Cookie and Silverbell Cookie.

-When he is a caregiver, Elder Faerie is as soft spoken as he always is. Especially more so, towards his littles.

-He is very fatherly towards everyone, especially those who reside in the Faerie Kingdom, as he views them as cookies he must protect.

-It is more common that you will find him in caregiver space, because that is simply his nature. As the eldest faerie with lots of wisdom and experience, he has many responsibilities and naturally loves to care for others.

-I imagine he would be the type of caregiver to recount many stories from his youth, like that of a grandparent. Often going on long tangents and reminiscing about many details to those who will listen. He sometimes worries his stories are boring, but if he finds the little one is actively listening he will grow happy. Though, if the little one is distractible, he will not mind nor take it to heart. Simply smiling warmly as he redirects their attention towards something more catered for them.

-He is protective of his littles (no matter the age, you could be a much older regressor and he will still treat you the same in that regard), not because he does not trust them or think his littles are capable, but rather, he cares so much about them and his older age has taught him a lot about the dangers of the world.

-I imagine he would also be the type of caregiver to give advice and guide his little ones through problems, similarly to how he tried to advise White Lily during their time together.

-If his little is a little older, I would imagine he would take pride in showing them the flora around the faerie kingdom, teaching them about all kinds of flowers and trees. Especially about the Silver Tree, and recounting its importance. Though, he would not let his little one visit the Silver Tree without him, simply as a matter of safety.

-I don’t think he would be very strict, despite his serious demeanor. He would not ‘punish’ his little ones in any way, as he does not view it as effective. But rather, would gentle parent them. Sit them down and talk them through why what they did was ‘wrong’, with gentle reassurances that it is alright to make mistakes.

-I imagine he would also be the type of caregiver to sing his little ones to sleep, his big wings wrapped around them to keep them safe as he sings and hums a soft tune.

(I hope you enjoyed these! It was actually quite fun to make and thought a lot of the headcanons turned out well! I have always loved fae and folklore, so the faerie cookies have a soft spot in my heart.)
