if a teenager is at your door and they are wearing a costume!! please give them candy!! they are still in it for the halloween spirit and it honestly no different from a little kid in a costume. they are just as excited and happy as all the other lil tykes and dont you dare tell them they are “too old for trick-or-treating” because that will literally break their hearts and that’s not cool.

You can’t tell how old a kid is just by looking. I’ve known multiple 5th graders who were taller than I am, and I’m 25 years old. With their faces hidden by masks, you won’t be able to tell they’re elementary schoolers, but they still are. 

Lots of older siblings are expected to take their younger siblings trick-or-treating, and they only get paid in candy. 

You don’t know if that teenager is developmentally disabled. 

You don’t know if that teenager spent most of their childhood in a hospital or sick and has never had the traditional trick-or-treat experience before.

You don’t know if this is that teenager’s first Halloween in America, and they just want to experience a piece of American culture.

You don’t know if that teenager ever gets candy any other day of the year. 

You don’t know if that teenager has eaten anything at all today. 

And those are just things I can think of off the top of my head.

and even if it is just a bored 16/17 year old out trying to see what free shit they can get. is it really gonna kill you to give them a fun sized milky way from the multipack you bought at poundland? That thing didn’t even cost you 5p, just give the kid the sugar, say “nice costume”, and let it go.

It’s been kind if an unspoken rule in my college town that if college students show up at your door in costume you give them candy because they’re also out to have fun and it’s way nicer for the students to trick or treat instead of going out and getting drunk. It’s also a way for the people who don’t want to party and don’t want to drink to have fun so like, we need to stop getting angry at people older than 6 wanting to dress up and get candy.

Heck, we even offer the parents a bit of candy too! It’s all good fun~!

i love how this picture symbolizes some unique qualities that rose saw in the crystal gems. why she was excited for steven to know each of them.

there's garnet standing in front of him with the butterflies, red & blue representing ruby & sapphire, because she's wise & she'll teach steven about fusion & true love, helping him with his own relationships.

there's amethyst, kind of at eye level with steven, leaning against the fence. she's young at heart & playful, so she'll be able to connect with him on that level & help him enjoy being a kid.

lastly, there's pearl. her first love & someone she loved for thousands of years, until the day she died. she’s holding steven & she also has a backpack, probably with his things because she knows what he needs & she may have packed extra for him, just to be on the safe side. she's intelligent & caring & she seems to be stopping him from falling over the fence because of her naturally protective personality. rose knew those sides of her really, really well.

the sky is pink, just like in sworn to the sword when pearl says, “rose made me feel like i was everything.” when the background is pink, it represents what rose would have wanted her loved ones to feel & know & experience. much like she wanted pearl to truly grasp that she felt the same way about her (and that’s why they argued back then), she wanted steven to be close to the gems. she loved & admired them deeply, just like she loved steven. and she believed that they all deserved to know & love each other.

Blue Despair - Rainbow Dash’s Sacrifice

“I watched as Dashie made her way to the door, I knew what she was gonna do. She didn’t say a word, she just looked back at me and smiled.”

Before the mutated poison joke began to spread rapidly throughout Equestria, Ponyville was one of the first areas to quarantine. A magical barrier was placed around the town until all the workers could build around the town to keep the town free of infected.

Inevitably, Twilight’s magic failed her when a horde of infected had made their way to the edge of Ponyville, easily breaking the barrier. Due to her weak state, she was unable to hold them back like she normally could.

Amongst all of the chaos, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie fled to Sugar Cube Corner to hide. But the group of infected was large and they didnt hesitate to begin breaking down the door.

Fluttershy fell to the floor, weeping softly as Pinkie began to tend to her sprained hoof. As she did she noticed Dash staring at the door and pacing.

After a moment, she stopped. Dash glanced at the two terrified mares on the floor and back at the door. It wouldn’t be long before the infected get in, she had to do something and fast.

Began to walk towards the door, glancing back at Pinkie who has now stood up. Her gaze softened and she smiled before swiftly opening the door and slamming it shut.

Pinkie and Fluttershy could only hear the horrifying screams Rainbow Dash let out as she drew infected away from the bakery shop.
