repeat after me:
we can be upset over not getting body accurate harris, but we will NOT be taking it out on justice smith
we can be upset over not getting body accurate harris, but we will NOT be saying anything even remotely racist towards justice smith
we can be upset over not getting body accurate harris, but we will NOT be commenting on/critiquing justice smith's body
we can be upset over not getting body accurate harris, but we will NOT be disrespectful to justice smith, who is probably thrilled and excited to be cast in this role and will undoubtedly give us an amazing performance even if it wasn't what we originally wanted
justice smith has done absolutely nothing to deserve hatred, all he has done is been cast in this show. we can all be upset. but please be kind
Give me Grace who develops an eating disorder due to starving himself
Long-term Sequelae by HelixPomatia
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
July is Sarcoma Awareness Month 🎗️🦴🫁🌻
In February 2025, I was just a normal teenager.
I had finally started taking hockey (my one true love) more seriously while doing MMA on the side. I was also fighting an eating disorder and severe depression, but for the first time in a long time, it felt like I was slowly finding my footing again.
What I didn't know was that cancer had already become part of my story.
Back in October 2024, I had started noticing pain in my left leg. It wasn't unbearable at first, just annoying enough to mention to my doctor. I was told it was probably a sports injury, nothing to worry about, that I should rest and give it time.
Looking back, I sometimes wonder how many teenagers with cancer hear the same thing. You're young. You're active. It must be a pulled muscle. Growing pains. A sports injury.
The pain didn't go away.
It got worse.
Eventually, it became so severe that I couldn't sleep through the night. I'd wake up crying because it hurt so much. My leg became swollen, there was a noticeable lump, and it was warm to the touch.
That's when my parents decided we needed another opinion.
That decision from their part probably saved my life.
Imaging quickly revealed a massive tumour in my left femur.
High-grade osteosarcoma.
Thankfully, it was still localized.
Within days, my entire future changed. School, hockey, sports, plans with friends, everything was replaced with oncology appointments, scans, chemotherapy schedules, and conversations no teenager should ever have to have.
For my first battle with osteosarcoma, I received the same chemotherapy protocol that has been the standard treatment for over forty years. Despite decades of research in medicine, children and teenagers with osteosarcoma are still largely treated with drugs that haven't changed significantly since the 1980s.
I also underwent an extensive limb salvage surgery. My surgeons removed the cancerous section of my femur and reconstructed my leg with a metal prosthesis. They fought incredibly hard to save my leg, and although the surgery ultimately didn’t work I will always be grateful to my orthopedic surgeon for giving me that chance.
After nine long months of chemotherapy, endless blood tests, scans, admissions, transfusions, nausea, and exhaustion, I heard the words every patient dreams of.
No evidence of disease.
I rang the bell.
I thought I was done.
Less than three months later and only days before my first cancerversary, I woke up in the middle of the night unable to breathe.
Scans showed fluid around my lung.
Further testing revealed multiple pulmonary nodules.
My osteosarcoma had relapsed and worse of all, metastasized to my lungs, making my cancer stage 4.
Cancer had found me again.
Before restarting chemotherapy, I underwent a thoracotomy—one of the most painful surgeries I've ever experienced. Surgeons opened my chest, spread my ribs apart, collapsed my lung, and manually searched for every tumour they could feel before removing them.
Recovery was brutal.
Then came another six cycles of second-line chemotherapy.
More hospital admissions.
More uncertainty.
More waiting.
Today, I've finished those six cycles.
As I write this, I'm once again considered NED.
I have end-of-treatment scans coming up, and like every survivor, I know the anxiety that comes with waiting for those results. Scanxiety never really leaves you.
No matter what those scans show, cancer has permanently changed my life.
It changed my body.
It changed my plans.
It changed the way I see time, friendships, family, and the future.
Sarcoma is rare, but rare doesn't mean insignificant.
Thousands of children, teenagers, and young adults are diagnosed with sarcomas every year. Too many relapse. Too many run out of treatment options because research funding hasn't kept pace with the need.
Awareness shouldn't stop at wearing a ribbon for a month.
It should mean funding better treatments.
It should mean investing in research.
It should mean making sure the next teenager who walks into an X-ray room has better options than I did.
July is Sarcoma Awareness Month.
Please learn about it.
Please talk about it.
Please support research.
No teenager should have to trade hockey sticks, school bags, or dreams for chemotherapy, surgeries, and hospital beds.
I wonder what they're playing 🎶
i went back and did the rest of the scene bc i hate myself or something
happy pride month or whatever if there are any mistakes this time no there arent u didnt see em shh ok 💚
Hey so the finale GUT ME LIKE A FISH AND JUST PULLED EVERYTHING OUT OF ME. 😭😭😭 What a gorgeous story and I hope selfishly that the gang just can't help making the witchlight gang just a little more neon.
They’re SOOO close (yet far) from their 15 mil goal! I think it’s doable but it’ll be a close one. Less than 12 hours left. If there’s ANYONE who still wants to back this and help them reach their final stretch goal NOW is the time.
this comment made me take psychic damage
Oh god it's happening again 😧
Just reblogged a post from 2012 - so in 2026 I’m going to ask the question again….
How many Supernatural fans are STILL on Tumblr??
Reblog this once - let’s see how many of us are still here!
Spoilers for OUAS and SDRA
The implications of Frost being telepathic…for those who don’t know SDRA, It was revealed that a rundown lab known as Site Omacron was doing experiments to see if they could find the physical power of Espers and transfer them to non-Espers. I wonder if Frosts’ Telekinesis is innate to him, or if he’s a victim of similar experimentation?
If his Esper abilities were natural to him, why do they cause him pain to the point of needing to medicate?
What happened to him?
YOU ARE ONTO SOMETHING HERE AND IM GLAD OTHER PEOPLE HAVE USABLE BRAINS SO I CAN SEE TAKES LIKE THIS!

I like the idea of fantasy settings that initially look like the Standard Stereotypical Fantasy Setting, but when you look closer it's actually more grounded and realistic, but in a way that makes sense for why it looks like that at first glance.
I once had a thought of a fantasy setting where humans are the only race who are in any way distinctly sexually dimorphic, but then it occurred to me that it'd be funnier that they all have roughly the same level of different gendered traits, and can't really distinguish between them in any other one (unless they're very familiar with the other peoples, such as living in mixed cities).
Like elves are the only ones that aren't really distinct at all, male and female ones are both just as tall, the male elves do not have facial hair and the only time female ones have distinctly visible breasts is when they are nursing. Their beautiful, somewhat delicate androgyny easily reads as childlike to an unaccustomed human, giving them an impression of a race of eternally youthful, nigh-immortal creatures, though really they only live to about 100-120 years, while humans live roughly to their 70s or 80.
Elves also assume that humans are constantly reproducing and dying at the same rate as squirrels, since they assume that every human with distinct breasts is currently nursing, and the only explanation to how they could keep having babies nonstop and still maintain a stable population is that they're also dying nonstop.
An embarrassingly large number of humans genuinely do not believe that female dwarves or orcs exist. Female dwarves have beards just the same as male ones do, and in the dwarven societies where gender is expressed at all, the distinctions are in clothing detail too subtle for the untrained eye. A dwarf drinking party might prank a passed-out comrade by unbraiding her beard and re-braiding it into a men's beard style, leaving her waking up hungover and deeply confused about why the fuck she woke up dressed in drag.
The best way to tell male and female orcs apart is that the female ones are slightly larger than males. Orcs aren't matriarchal or matrilinear because of tradition, but because they usually choose their leaders on the grounds of who can beat the shit out of you, and the biggest and meanest one in the clan is just statistically more likely to be female.
This is so sick
thoughts on the new m9 animated
(for context this is my first time interacting with m9 anything)
I have finished the show!!!!! And everyone has been asking for updates, so here they are!!!!
everyone asking to keep it spoiler free in the comments, I love you btw
My 911 Nashville Take
Now this might be a weird take so just follow me here. I am convinced in a mildly annoying and not very invested way that Blue and Ryan are half brothers that are actually related so that people wouldn't ship the two main male characters with each other. (Not that being FULL brothers has ever stopped anyone, you know who you are) I am only on episode 5 maybe halfway through and honestly I'm not convinced on the show it's kinda dumb but I think 911 in general is getting dumber so 🤷. But I know they are trying to set up one of the female fire fighters to be Blues romantic interest and I can't see it or care because we know literally nothing about these women. One is a doctor the other plays guitar I don't know their names. Sure we find out BLUE IS DIABETIC BEFORE LEARNING ANYTHING ABOUT WHO ARE THESE WOMEN ARE SUPPOSED TO BE. They certainly aren't passing the bechdel test. There names are Taylor and Roxie BTW. Anyway that's my hot take but maybe we should ship the women and leave the guys alone ok I'm tired of guy date girl at work they both happy then not happy and round and round we go. How about a lesbian relationship that isn't Hen disappointing Karen 35 times a year give the girl a break like legit.
Ok so I took a peak at the 911 wiki GUYS THE ONLY INFO WE HAVE ON THESE GIRLS IS FROM TWITTER POSTS AND ARTICLES 😧 WTF the girls have such little information their wiki pages could be combined and still be less then the men
Counting the same section's words on the wiki these are what wiki volunteers have scrounged together
Roxie (The doctor) is a lesbian and that is implied in ep 5? But confirmed ON TWITTER WHY 203 words
Taylor (Guitar singer) poor thing we don't know shit. 214 words
Ryan 462!!!!!!
Blue 957!!!!!!!

when i say 'boys will be boys' i mean shane and ilya rushing up the stairs to reach the apartment first, i mean ilya shaking his wet hair to annoy shane and kissing his helmet after he scores, i mean them choosing each other's team on the playstation, i mean ilya doing a handstand in the lake
