(disclaimer: this isn’t me being mad at assad. i’m just using this video to show the disconnect between last season and this one.) so louis can understand armand in a way nobody ever has yet when it’s time for armand to be the big bad plot twist they have him switch up and punish louis for it and make him apologize for trying to be what armand needed/wanted. even if the butcher shop/regina plot lines are supposed to be armand’s misplaced anger, that anger is incongruent with how he felt about it in the past. and sure, he can later feel wronged and abused by louis for the maitre/arun dynamic in the aftermath of their breakup but we never see that brewing or get that impression from him the whole season until he shows up to reveal his evil masterplan. it’s cruel to louis and mischaracterizes armand and i can’t make sense of it.

no i still can’t cope with this massacre. it’s completely nonsensical. the whole series falls apart if armand never loved louis, never even wanted to stay with him, never wanted him to live at all after paris. why save him in sf? bc he was enjoying louis’ guilt and emotional torture too much? why not just leave him to stalk daniel full time? why is he mad at louis at all? it was fully armand’s choice to play final cut pro with louis’ brain so he’d stay with him for the 77 years he apparently felt was a waste of time. IT MAKES NO SENSE
