It’s crazy to me that there are still SB fans lurking around in S9. I guess they really do intend to die on that hill of delusion till the very end. The one thing that has been clear and consistent since day 1 was that Barry and Iris were endgame. Regardless of if they wanted to believe he and CS had chemistry, it doesn’t matter, he’s never going to be with her, ever. Like seriously, never. Still pointing out moments from S1 or pointing to scenes where he’s treating her like a friend and putting a romantic spin on it like he’s not capable of caring about his friends is cringe. Barry is a hero so of course he’s gonna care and want her to be happy but that’s where it starts and ends. What kind of hero would he be if he didn’t care about her wellbeing. More importantly, Barry is married, so this crackship shoulda died a long time ago. Any chance of this ship happening, no matter how small, went out the window as soon as WA got together. It’s been them ever since. Barry hasn’t so much as looked at another woman let alone entertained the idea of being with someone else since getting with Iris. The show has shown that Iris is the love of his life, that he only sees her, their future kids, them still being happily married far into the future. It’s really sad atp cause these people really wasted 9 years of their lives believing in something that didn’t exist 😬

I find the concept that Lena is secretly a jock endlessly amusing. Like, Lena’s totally a science nerd. She’d never really be mistaken for an athlete; though, that’s mostly due to the fact that she wasn’t playing common sports like basketball or soccer. No, Lillian enrolled her almost exclusively in all sorts of super obscure, ‘rich people’ sports because a respectable, young woman is well-rounded, Lena, dear.

So Lena is actually out here being a master archer and a ranked fencer, among several other activities. The family has gone on many winter holidays, so of course, she’s a competent skier. And you bet your ass, she’s done horseback riding, probably even played her fair share of polo at her fancy European boarding schools. (The closest she ever actually got to a mainstream sport was in grad school when she played for Sam’s intramural softball team—pitching exclusively. There was no bribe big enough to convince her to run bases.)

All of this was incredibly amusing for Kara to learn, after finding several of Lena’s old team photos—including ones of her in her old fencing uniform—because it’s just so dichotomous with her view of Lena. But also somehow, so fitting.

Her lovely girlfriend who can’t run to save her life but could easily and gracefully stab the shit out of someone using multiple different weapons … it tracks

In a wide spray of droplets, Alex spits out her tea.

“You did what?!” she asks Kara in disbelieve.

“I dyed my hair blue,” Kara answers nonchalantly. She lowers her hood as she sits down on one of Alex’s dining room chairs

“Why?” Alex takes a closer look at her sister’s new hairdo.

“I felt like it.” Kara brushes her fingers through her newly dyed hair.

“What about Supergirl?”

“I’ll just wear a wig,” Kara answers, plain and simple. “Like Kate.”

Alex scrutinises her little sister a while longer. Looking her in the eye closely and checking her mannerisms. Making sure she isn’t accidentally talking to a shapeshifted J’onn who decided to team up with Kara to pull a prank on her. But no, it really seems the actual real Kara.

“Why now?” Alex asks, having accepted that her sister now has dyed hair. Because what else is she going to do?

“Lena dared me.”

Alex bursts into laughter. Of course Lena is behind this. Or rather, of course Kara would only do this if Lena asked.
