Peppermint : a candied kiss, our muses fight over the last candy…the one who does manage to grab it gets a sweet surprise, when the other muse kisses them, pulling away with a satisfied smirk, and the sweet treat between their lips.
luena is playful and has always been that way. what’s funnier is that she knows he isn’t, no, he’s far more serious and always wears a frown on his features whenever he doesn’t have a blank expression to begin with. she wishes to see him smile one day because it seems like his unhappiness is constant, so stable to the point where it pushes all other, good emotions away and while she doesn’t know if she’s supposed to be worried or not, she cannot help but silently wonder what has caused him to be like that. because deep down, the ballerina is nothing short of an angel, of a delicate sweetheart who acts in favor of others, who wants to protect from harm, who wants to guide and wants to be the light in the life of others. it may make her selfish, but for people who need it ( like her brother, for instance ) she’s the darling to help him to survive in a world that takes its toll on each and every person.
so when dalpo takes the last candy because he assumes she doesn’t want it, it’s a playful fight she initiates, only to see what kind of reaction she’ll get out of him. surprisingly, he plays along or so she thinks because she always fails to read him. he’s good at hiding what he thinks, that much she’s already figured out and it makes luena wonder whether there’s something he wants to hide from others, but being herself means she isn’t going to pry. if one wants to tell, they will she just needs to give it some time. and even if he doesn’t want to let her in on it, it’s none of her concern to begin with. in the heat of the moment, she leans forward to place a kiss on the older man’s lips, though she knows she isn’t supposed to do it. but it distracts him long enough for her to grip the chocolate bar success!
but of course the crimson that paints her cheeks shortly afterwards cannot be denied, as she offers an innocent grin. no matter his reaction, she enjoys being able to see him in such a startled manner, because it shows that underneath all his cold exterior he’s just human. and regardless of the burden he might carry on his shoulders or just his sour mood, everyone deserves to be showed some kind of fondness every once in a while. she surely doesn’t recommend kissing everyone and anyone, but she’s enjoyed it. still, she inwardly prepares herself to get yelled at because that’s just the kind of person he seems to be, a little cold, reclusive, eager to prove himself the best. how exactly she’s managed to befriend someone like him is still beyond the blonde sometimes, but she takes everything as it comes. this friendship, or this whole situation in general is no exception.
yet she won’t apologize because much like him, once she knows what she wants she isn’t going to back down. this character trait often helped her to develop as a person, to get rid of her anxiety and her fears as well as earning her several spots as a main dancer in musicals or ballets performances. luena was determined. ❝ i won’t apologize. ❞ the taste of his lips still linger on hers as she casually proceeds to open the candy for which she resorted to such drastic manners. ❝ if you don’t like it, then pretend that it never happened. ❞
