Let’s talk CHASE!
The first song in the Niji anime and it’s this one, huh? Great choice. CHASE is 100% one of my favourite Nijigaku songs and I absolutely adore it. I love the song, the lyrics, the artist - it’s just wonderful!
So in the anime universe, instead of stumbling onto Muse and Aqours’ joint-live (SIFAS), Yu is inspired by Setsuna instead!
I’m in love with this entire animated sequence - I wish we got a full version LOL! If you’ve never seen the SIFAS MV for CHASE! I suggest you give it a watch. It’s wonderful how the anime recreates - shot for shot at times! I feel like I don’t need to grab every single time it mirrors the MV but I really love the attention to detail.
In fact, it even extends past the SIFAS MV and takes slight details from the live performances (please watch those too btw)!
Glad to know that Tomoriru’s trademark smirk after the yell in CHASE! is still in tact.
But while I love what it keeps the same, I absolutely adore what it does differently.
