From the CTN panel. Turns out Hirsch was actually trolling us with the ‘leaked’ image.
oh my god
JFC that bastard
Let me put this in perspective for all you non-Gravity Falls people. See, in the show there are these journals containing all the secrets about the paranormal nature of Gravity Falls. The biggest mystery of the series is WHO wrote them. A lot of attention has been dedicated to this one plot point.
A few months back, this image was leaked. It’s a younger version of the character McGucket, who has a few screws loose but is an amazing mechanical engineer. He’s a pretty reasonable answer for “Who is the author?” Alex Hirsch then tweeted “fuming now” before quickly deleting the tweet, and some attempts were made to erase evidence of the leaked image.
And it was…rather disappointing to have the big mystery popped like that. No reveal. No explanation. Just “yeah I guess it’s McGucket.”
In one of the most recent episodes, the main character Dipper comes to the conclusion that McGucket must have written the journals. All the promos for the episodes said we would finally learn who wrote them! And everyone was thinking, “yeah, well, we knew that already…”
Until the end of the episode reveals, without a doubt, that McGucket is NOT the author. He WORKED with the author, but he himself couldn’t have written them.
THIS MAN is Alex Hirsch, creator of Gravity Falls. Here’s his smug ass smiling next to the “leaked” picture. He released the picture, pretended to get pissed, pretended to cover it up, and now here he is basking in the satisfaction of throwing the entire fandom for a loop.
Alex Hirsch is everything I admire and fear.
If my assumptions of the people on tumblr are correct, everyone that is now here, watching shows, reading books etc, that will go on to do something like that professionally, is gonna turn out like this man. …This is gonna be great.
I’m amazed anyone was shocked by this, its origins were obvious.
wasn’t expecting this
but arent you glad it hapened
its ears ITS EARS ITS EARS ITS EARS
oh my god
I don’t know how I could live another day without seeing this
Omfg this makes me cry happy tears
when did fanmade Pokémon games become so good looking
wow, what game is this?
yeah I probably should have thrown in the names of the games since there are more than one
The first is Auburn, second and third screenshots are from Phoenix Rising and the fourth is Uranium
WELL DAMN SON.
I know what I’m doing tomorrow.
OH JESUS GOD NO IT’S THE ZELDA TIMELINE ALL OVER AGAIN!!!
Considering the shenanigans in The Delta Episode, wouldn’t ORAS technically be Alternate Universe Midquels rather than remakes?
Indeed, my faith in anime has died down a bit over the years and my faith in western animation has grown. Sure there are gems here and there like Tokyo Ghoul, Madoka Magica and Ping Pong, but there are so many animes released each season with the same fucking plot, boy meets hot girl and things are awkward, fan service ensue. I feel like thats one of the things me!me!me was actively mocking, this whole dominance of perversion over storytelling in anime.
I’m gonna have to disagree with you there champYou’re missing out on some fine animation from A-1 Studios, Ufotable, some shaft stuff, Bones, Madhouse, Studio Khara, Kyoto Animation (The Idolmaster, Fate/Stay Night, Kara no Kyoukai, Bakemonogatari, Hunter X Hunter, Rebuild of Evangelion, Aldnoah.Zero, Chuu2, Amagi Brilliant Park)Tokyo Ghoul wasn’t a good anime, the animation its self was fine but the story was sub par.Only the 3rd madoka magica movie was any good.Me!Me!Me! Was essentially saying that addictions can lead to bad things, also it’s a music video so it probably doesn’t mean shit. There’s lots of different genre’s released every season, you must be overlooking them.If you’re after some cute slice of life ish stuff this season, try Shirobako.Want some sweet action and humor? try Shingeki no BahamutMore of a mystery person? Maybe want some thrilling action too? Psycho-Pass 2 is your friendWant a 4-koma anime? Dannaken will be your guide to happinessUp for a MMO anime thats actually good? Log Horizon 2For the feels, tune into the last arc ‘Mother’s Rosario’ in SAO 2 this seasonDon’t wanna take things too seriously? watch Cross Ange, it’s a mecha but it’s fun.Wanna see a trainwreck? Watch Grisaia no Kajitsu.Western animation is a lot of fun, however i, out of simple preference, prefer eastern animation.I’m not gonna say you’re wrong or whatever ‘cause thats your thing, i’m just saying you should open your mind to the possibilities of what you could be watching, instead of finding something to complain about.

friendly reminder that in kingdom hearts 2 goofy almost dies and mickey mouse turns around, squints into the distance, and says in a mickey mouse voice “they’ll pay for this”
Maybe there is a point where you should stop trying
This tweet honestly makes me almost boil over with rage. ‘It’s been reduced to a sentence at the bottom of a news channel’? Only I can assure you that almost every major African news outlet has been talking about this, and it is the information coming from Nigerians on the ground that is the most important. The world does not revolve around the west funnily enough, and this might blow your minds but honestly what will a report in the guardian or on abc.com do for Nigerians? Are people really that arrogant that they think ‘western awareness’ will solve our problems? That’s what Nigeria needs! A documentary on MSNBC so that all the brilliant people in the west can watch and thereby solve the issues that have plagued us since our nation was created. How will we thank you???
The worst part of this nonsense is you don’t even tweet out a link to an article/reliable source of information, and can’t even be bothered to mention the town where this happened (Baga, Borno State). And i’m sick of people acting like Boko Haram is new, they have been around since 2009 and have been wreaking havoc on Nigerians since then. We are talking about a people who have been almost totally abandoned by their government and leaders, left to deal with unimaginable violence and you think your tweets are appropriate? It’s election season, one of our countries most vulnerable times and you think it’s appropriate for you to reference the attacks as some catchy one liner (exactly what you accuse others are doing) to make some moot point about ‘black representation on television’. I couldn’t give a toss about what western media or governments has to say about this issue (how long until you guys start circulating petitions for your governments to invade us again huh?), because their opinions mean nothing. It’s not their country or their people that are dealing with this right now, it’s ours. Stop posting and reblogging this ridiculously offensive crap along with your insistence at linking this to Charlie Hedbo. You are the one’s that are turning this into ‘one liners’ by using this tragedy as nothing but a reference point for your tumblr posts and tweets. Show some goddamed respect.
commission! big tiddy kanaya tho nice
Nuns dont get stoned to death in Christian countries. just sayin.
I think the picture is more of a response to first world feminists saying that muslim girls are oppressed because they don't show skin.
Doesn’t that look beautiful?
Like something you’d find on one of those soft/nature blogs?
Well you are in for a surprise
The Bolton Strid in England is one of the most innocent looking streams.
Though it looks like you could just hop across the rocks, but if you miss you will die for sure. It packs very rapid currents just a couple of feet below its surface. No one really knows how deep it really is. Nobody who has ever fallen into the Strid has survived. It has a 100% fatality rate.
It’s always the things I google expecting to be false that wind up being horribly true.
I forgot to add but here is a SOURCE
"It’s relatively common for people to assume they can jump the creek, walk across its stones or even wade through it (again, just looking at it, the Strid really seems to be only knee-deep in places, and certainly not the instant, precipitous drop into a watery grave that it is). Most of the time, they never even find the body. Which means there are just dozens of corpses down there, pinned to the walls of the underground chasms, waiting for you to join them…"
how dare you leave out the best quote
“It’s exactly how water works in a video game: It looks all stupid and harmless, but the second your foot touches the surface, you get some bullshit drowning animation and die instantly.”
