Opinion on socialism as compared to capitalism?

Listen, all I'm gonna say is that capitalism focuses on profit and keeping the elites in power/well-paid while the working class slaves away only to get paid a dime. It is competitive and thrives on supply and demand. However, it still encourages innovation and efficiency. (Which could also be interpreted as something bad too, if you look further, considering that it encourages quantity over quality)

While socialism focuses on equal distribution and makes sure everyone has access to the basics, such as healthcare and whatnot. On the other hand though, it can slow down the economy and increase the chances of a bureaucracy being created.

What I have to say on these matters though, is that I prefer socialism over capitalism. Since capitalism thrives on money and stocks and separating the rich from the poor (making sure the rich stay rich and the poor keep working to make that function) while socialism is about reducing inequality in the social classes (i think that's how they're referred to, right???).

That's my opinion.

You wouldn't get pressed because of a stranger's opinion online though, right? I hope so.
