I want to lift at Target for the first time and take makeup, how can I lift if the barcode is printed ON the packaging? How can I lift makeup from target?
barcodes don’t set off alarms so you don’t have to worry. i’d say just get a basket and then go to a blindspot and but it in your purse, my targets have too many cams to lift at so I don’t have any target tips really
I’m going to give you my foolproof, every time Target tutorial.
1.) the MOMENT you walk in, if you see security smile but don’t say hi. Just nod at security or whatever, they’ll think you’re chill.
2.) GRAN A BASKET I CANNOT STRESS THIS PART ENOUGH YOULL NEED IT YOURE GONNA GET A LOT OF SHIT MAMA
3.) walk to the beauty aisle
4.) take all the shit you want. Put it in there. Shoppers at target dgaf, associates dgaf, they hate their lives and don’t help ANYONE. At all. Ever.
5.) take that and head to clothing.
6.) layers and layers of BLACK clothes only, black will blend super well on black, you won’t have to worry about an SA thinking there was less clothing because ur gonna STUFF all this makeup in ur fuckin bag alright
7.) now check this shit out: no SA? Cool, walk in and conceal. The time it takes should be similar to the time to try on these clothes. Wait a minute or two to be sure tho.
8.) walk. The. Fuck. Out. Don’t bother with the basket, just leave it and go. Bye. Enjoy.
I’ve gotten $500 and up in SINGLE trips of just makeup. Target is a goldmine if done right. DONT CONCEAL ON FLOOR, LP IS BEASTLY.
this is exactly how I do it when the stars align for me!
for the anons who ask about target
First ever haul turned out better than expected. I went to a pretty lax mall in Midland, TX and the hot topic there was super chill. Only two employees and no cams. Good thing too because I was shaking the majority of the act.
👽 It’s Been Real tee = $25👽
😭 MCR earring set(3) = $10.50😭
☪ Pentagram earring set(5) = $10.50☪ (was missing 1 pair)
Total *drumroll* = $46
I know this isn’t impressive compared to really anyone’s hauls but since it was my first one I felt pretty proud of myself lol
Flabbergasted

How to stalk your local LP!
Call the store. Ask to speak to the loss prevention department.
Me: “Hi. I’m looking for a job in loss prevention and am wondering if you’re hiring now.”
Them: “Yes we are!” (Great time to lift. They’re hiring. Which means they need people and if they still have LP they are just putting in their 2 weeks so they can get the hell outta there.) If they aren’t hiring, ask if you can still submit an application.
Me: “Thanks! Who can I ask for when I come in and apply?”
Them: “Ask for Johnny B Good. He’s our LP manager.”
Me: “Thank You!” Hangs up phone. Goes on Facebook and looks up Johnny B Good. Finds him. Cute photo of him and his wife. Awe look. They have a new baby. Sweet. So he’s gained some weight since 2010. Wow. Oh look at his 200 friends. Let’s check them out. LP are close with not only their own LP but other stores as well.
So now I know that Johnny B Good is the LP manager at my favorite store. I also know what he looks like and can watch out for him when I’m in the store. Bonus. If he’s the Manager, he’ll usually be in plain clothes bossing the other LP around so you can find out who they are as well!
This saved me from getting caught one day. I was on the lookout for Johnny B Good and there was no sign of him anywhere. I continued gathering all the stuff I wanted to lift plus the stuff I didn’t. I was about to exit and I got this weird gut feeling. Not now. I strolled around the store some more. I noticed this guy in a green t-shirt who walked passed me twice and it looked like he knew the store employees. It freaked me out that I was being followed and I started dumping sh-t fast!!! I decided maybe I should buy a few things and take a few things. As I’m turning the corner, I look back at green t-shirt and he’s chatting with guess who!? Johnny B Good!!! There he is!! Omg!! So I lift nothing, buy a few items and leave!! I go home and look at his fb again. There’s green t shirt on his friends list!
They stalk you. Why not stalk them? Could save your life one day!!! Does Johnny B Good think I’m a lifter? Maybe. Or maybe just an airhead who couldn’t make up her mind. Who knows. I stayed clear of that place for 6 months!! When I went back I saw him again. He had no clue who I was. I knew who he was though. And that’s all that matters!
When calling another store they not only told me they were hiring but couldn’t connect me to the LP manager because they literally had NO LP at the time and were desperately searching! Yipppeeeeeeeee!!!! I went there 5 days in a row! Lol. Great Hauls.
Information is power. Acquire it, use it!
Johnny B Good = Fake Name. As if I even needed this disclaimer. Lol
VS panties and makeup
i don’t have a magnet so I can’t lift bras yet but here’s what i’ve learned from VS.
Imo vs is an easy store, they hire teen-college SA’s, they barely count in the dressing rooms (1 time in probably 50 trips bc i think she was the manager), they have so many blind spots. Even though I see a lot of blind spots, i personally never conceal on the floor. Too many customers around for me to feel 100% chill.
Step 1: get a ton of panties and bras around 2 panties for every one i plan to lift. I always make sure to bring some bright colors (hot pink, neon yellow/orange). These will come in hand later.
Step 2: get a bag, don’t ask for one tho. either they just come up to you and offer or you grab one off the holder thingies. Don’t ask because u might be memorable.
Step 3: put all your panties/bras/clothes in and keep browsing. Keep browsing as u make ur way over to the makeup section and begin to look through makeup and perfumes. Just start to pull some into the bag, don’t shovel too much in the bag at a time just grab a few pieces and continue walking around and just put them in your bag like ur tired of carrying them. The bright underwear u got earlier will hide ur bright ass lipstick u just got
Step 4: when u see the dressing room is full-ish (3+ people in line) get in line. SA’s just want to get customers in and out at this point so they’ll probs shuffle you in, ask some basic questions and leave u alone.
Step 5: go crazy!! Put the panties u want in ur bag but make sure u leave the neon ones so that the SA’s dont suspect (it’s weird to see a lady with a neon pink panty suddenly not have one). When you’re done just leave a few bra’s/panties because lets be real, no one love every single thing they’ve picked out.
Step 6: at this point just walk around some more, check your phone, look astonished and seek out an SA to hand your bag to. Say “sorry could i leave this with you I just realized i need to get to lunch/dinner/a date/my mom/my friend” and they’re super nice about it and they will be like “thanks for no leaving this bag around :)”
Step 7: look at your phone, pretend to text, pretend to call, and just leave. U done, u got panties n lipstick. nice. u done. the end. great. bye. this tutorial is over. adios.
Hey hey hey you said you used to work at Ulta, how do you avoid detection and do you know if they watch the cameras or what their policies are? I'm really happy you're back btw!!
i’m out for blood when it comes to ulta because they treat their employees terribly, as well as hire and fire people based entirely on their looks. this is what i know:
every district has an lp manager who’s in charge of the entire region, usually spanning several states. that’s it. that’s the whole team, sometimes one or two people other than that but as far as LP it’s placed solely in the hands of workers.
the cameras are highly detailed and located in the back manager’s office, so if anyone’s watching you it’s the head honcho. going at night is probably better because there’s less of a chance the manager’s in store and anyone else would be on floor.
they’re almost always understaffed. take advantage of it.
IF YOU HEAR THREE DINGS GET THE FUCK OUT. that’s code for you’ve been spotted by someone at the cash wrap and they’re calling for a manager. they have a no-chase policy, so the worst thing would be they will ‘aggresively customer service’ you. if some employee will not leave you the fuck alone, that’s what’s happening and you should ditch everything.
hello everyone! i know some of you will be going back to school soon, so i decided to make a huge masterpost that will hopefully help some of you out!

quick post to spread some info! i haven’t seen any posts on here with a complete breakdown of all types of security cameras you may encounter… well, this isn’t it either, but there are a couple that you should be able to recognize if you dont want to get caught. many stores use these covert cameras- i frequently see the speaker and motion sensor cams. please be careful everyone!!!
keep reblogging this for visibility please!! i would have been caught if i didnt know about the speaker cam

random tip regarding getting sa’s off your back that typically works for me
i like to enter a store and have headphones in, and make it so that they’re blatantly visible - ie, the universal sign of “i am not open for conversation.” i have the device on but with the volume all the way down so it looks like i’m listening to something, but i’m actually listening to my surroundings. (please do not actually have music playing while lifting, seriously! use your ears to keep track of your surroundings)
if an sa asks me if i need help, i get out the device so they can see me pause it, and take one of the earphones out to make it look like i’m making it so i can hear them and converse with them. then i politely ask if they can please repeat what they said because i couldn’t quite catch it. i respond that “i’m just killing time browsing, but thank you! if i need help, would it be okay to come and ask you?”
this kinda drives it home that they “disturbed” me without me actually being an ass about it. the headphones subtly make it clear i don’t want to be talked to, and the word choice implies there’s no promise that i’ll buy anything

Basic Tips For Newbies
So I’m not the best at tips but I’ll give it a shot.
1. REGULAR BARCODES DO. NOT. SET. OFF. ALARMS. if it’s printed onto the object (shampoo bottle, facial cleanser, etc) it won’t set off the alarms.
2. “How do I find a blindspot?” Walk around, crouch, behind shelves, displays whatever floats your boat. If you can’t see a camera, it can’t see you. But lol watch out for hidden cameras those are fuckers.
Now, on to what does set off towers… 3a. I’m not going to post a pic because mobile sucks balls but RFIDS will set off towers!! Always search for them. They’re puffy little thin rectangle stickers that have a barcode type design on them. Often put on makeup, almost any makeup or beauty products at bed bath and beyond, etc. They are also inside the boxes at a lot of stores so try to discreetly check for that. Just peel them off and put it on another item that doesn’t have one on. They can get very sticky so make sure you get it all off. 3b. They also come in a square sticker. Perfectly square, kind of bumpy. Usually placed on perfumes. Again, just peel off (these usually take some time. Super super sticky) and stick on to something else. 3c. RFIDs in paper tags. You know that little tag that’s attached to the clothing with the size and price on it? Some places and/or articles of clothing will have an RFID actually in the tag. You can just rip those off and hide it somewhere or throw them away. 3d. ALWAYS CHECK FOR THESE IN CLOTHES BECAUSE THESE ARE SNEAKY LITTLE SHITS. Usually in higher end clothes. I haven’t had to deal with them yet but I’m sure a ton of stores near me use them. On clothes, they all have those labels with washing directions. Look around for those. If you see one that is thick and usually says “remove before washing or wearing” or something of that sort, cut it off! It has an RFID embedded into the clothing. Isn’t source tagging great? Anyway. Like I said, just slice it off with little sewing scissors or a pocket knife or something, hide or discard. 3e. Those plastic tags that everyone knows and loves. Some need a magnet, some need hooks. If it had a hole in it, it needs a hook. If not, magnet. Wala (or however you spell it). Tags decoded. Now if you’re ever ballsy enough to get a hook or magnet, be extremely careful. That shit can get you caught so fast. Also I’ve heard to wrap your magnet in a bandana or something which is a good idea. Be careful and only detag using a magnet or hook when there’s a lot of noise, business, etc. There will be a loud pop. But also be careful because while a lot of customer talk next to you can override the sound, they may have also worked in retail and can know the sound and snitch. So magnets and hooks are very risky, which is why I’ll never buy them.
Alright on to fitting rooms 4a. If fitting rooms are unattended and unlocked (like target sometimes, wet seal sometimes, etc) you have come across the holy grail of shoplifting. Enjoy this moment. Embrace it. And don’t get sloppy and fuck up. What I mean by that is.. You’re still on camera. Unless you’re damn good at concealing quickly on floor or double hanging, you’re probably not going to make it into the fitting room without a camera catching a glimpse of you carrying a bright yellow top (example of outstanding, noticeable pattern) and then not having it a few minutes later (if you concealed or hid it). So basically what I’m trying to say is, it’s basically a free for all. But don’t go into the dressing room with just one bright pink top and a bunch of other dull greys then come out with no bright colors. If you’re unlucky and someone is bored and watching the cameras, they’ll be onto you if not customer servicing you right away. So if you’re lifting a polka dot top, a bright yellow tee, etc., always have at least two of that same shirt/pattern and only steal one. And try not to make too many tips to the dressing room if you’re not buying anything because that will seem sus. 4b. Fitting rooms that are locked and unattended. Just get an SA to open it for you. If they count themselves, only take one or two things. But always test it out and make sure you can come out without them counting again. Marshall’s does that. Like okay sure stop me from stealing this half ass pair of shorts that are like 60% off. These are still pretty easy, just be cautious.
How to not seem suspicious. 5a. Well for starters don’t clearly look up at the ceiling. If I’m getting clothes at a place with a fitting room, I don’t even bother to find a blind spot because I don’t need it. Just subtly look for cameras if you have to. But be careful!! 5b. Getting clothes but don’t wanna seem suspicious for not buying anything? Say you’re looking for an outfit for a dinner with family, a funeral, a football game. But please don’t use the same excuse multiple times at the same store. 5c. Ask questions. Ask opinions from the SAs. Hell, they work there they should be somewhat into fashion depending on where you are. Ask for different sizes. Just basically don’t be in a shell.
How to dress. 6a. Dress for the weather!! I know this is harder if you self harm and it’s summer so I’m sorry but then maybe just wear a very light long sleeve shirt. Capris are very acceptable in summer as well. Scarves can be used to your advantage but again, make sure the type is the kind you would wear in the season you’re in. 6b. If you’re getting clothes, a structured bag helps. Or bring in old shopping bags with you and use that. If you’re getting makeup, it really doesn’t matter. Using a slouchy bag might even seem less suspicious. 6c. Don’t come to the mall, ulta, even target in just sweats and a tshirt if you plan on lifting and you’re clearly under around 25. Just don’t. Work on your appearance. Break out that expensive makeup, put on nice shoes, make it seem like you could buy anything you want. But don’t go to target wearing an mk selma and Chanel. I mean you could but I wouldn’t. Just vary it by store. You want to blend in. Don’t be memorable.
Timing in between hauls 7a. If you’re actually lifting, don’t go to the same store more than twice per two weeks. And that’s really cutting it close. 7b. If you lift one day but need to go to the store and you’re actually buying something, no time is needed in between. Just make sure you don’t lift more than two days per two weeks. 7c. If you’re sloppy and think an SA is suspicious of you, more time is needed between hauls. I’d say don’t go back to that store for about 3-4 weeks. And go at a different time and day than you did. 7d. If you set off towers, don’t go back for about 3-4 weeks. Now my pet peeve is people setting off towers because it always makes me worried it will amp up security over time. I get that towers malfunction and even people buying stuff set off towers but it just bugs me. But I have set off towers before so I can’t really say anything more. I knew I was gonna set it off too but I couldn’t help it. Anyway, if you set off towers, I’d wait a long time to come back. Retail is actually really good at remembering people.
Boosting sites 8. Poshmark, mercari, vinted, eBay. Poshmark seems to be the most common. Just research those and find one you like.
Actual boosting tips 9a. Take about 20-30% off your item if it’s brand new. If it’s damaged, take 40-50% off. It all depends on the item and condition. Keep in mind poshmark makes the customer pay $5 for shipping which is a lot so if a customer tries to offer too low, don’t get too upset. People will ask for $30 or less for a naked palette. Just don’t take the offer and move on. (Unless you’re okay with accepting. I mean what, so you only earn $30 for that palette you got for free? It still adds up and you’re making someone’s day by only charging that much. I don’t boost but if I did boost lifted stuff, I’d sell it for super cheap every now and then.) 9b. Now I’m sure you’ve seen those hauls with 15+ palettes in them. We all have. But do not say you have like 7 more naked palettes in stock!!! That just seems weird because nobody has 7 naked 2s they got for their birthday that they don’t want. So just try to keep some time in between each item you sell if you’ve sold it before. Even use different sites if you want. Just don’t make it too suspicious that you have 10 extra $54 palettes. 9c. Now a question I’ve seen come up a lot is “I’m a minor and don’t want my parents to know I’m boosting.” Now honestly this will be hard to hide. If you have a car, just go to the post office ms drop it off there. Put it in the mail when your parents aren’t home. Basically just do anything when you’re parents aren’t there or say you’re sending it to a friend that moved or something. I can’t give much advice here but just don’t get caught sending out like six packages a month. They’ll start to get suspicious.
On to vocab from the community. 10. >Lifting: The act of shoplifting goods and/or services ILLEGALLY from a store and/or person (don’t steal from people, I’ll do more on that later.) >SA: Store/Sales associate. Employees in stores that can and will get you caught. Watch out for them. Be nice to them. >LP: Loss prevention/Loss Protection: The very people who’s sole job it is to keep you from coming home with hauls. May be 1 per store, may be one per region. Just assume they’re always in store, eyes glued to the cameras. >AP: Asset protection: (see LP) >Sus: Suspicious. The act of being or seeming suspicious. >CS'ed: Customer serviced. An SA may be suspicious of you then come up to you and either scare you away from just lifting or make you leave the store immediately. “Can I help you find a different size?” “Do you want a matching bra with those?” Etc. sometimes they’ll just be making conversation. It should be easy to differentiate. >Haul: All of the items you get in a trip. >Double-Dipping: When someone sends the same question to multiple people. Usually could be a question answered by researching, but is rarely done. >Free for all: This DOES NOT mean just shove everything into your bag without a care in the world. It means the store is relatively easy. Still be wary of cameras, customers, and other basic cautions. >Sweethearting: A method where the cashier doesn’t ring an item up for their friend or rings up something of a lesser value. Can be as simple as giving a free drink at Starbucks but on such a small scale like that, it’s usually never noticed or punished.
Places you should NOT lift from 11. Goodwill, churches, public libraries, flea markets, farmers markets, festivals where people sell their own items, family owned businesses, people, teachers, fairs, places that will hurt the owner.
Places you should lift from 12. Big corporations (target, Macy’s, etc), amusement parks, kill shelters.
If you’re caught 13. Be honest. Admit. Make up a story about how it was your first time and you thought it’d be fun because your friend gets so much. Cry. But be respectful of them. Apologize like there’s no tomorrow. Hopefully they’ll go easy on you.
Stores I can give tips on if needed 14a. Mall stores: Francesca’s, Nordstrom, Macy’s, wet seal, forever 21, hot topic, Victoria’s Secret, pink, Claire’s, icing, PAC sun, American eagle, bath and body works, Windsor, Charlotte Russe 14b. Other: Target, Bed bath and beyond, pier 1 imports, michaels, hobby lobby, Home Depot, Sally’s, CVS
Basic Lifting Protocol I. Do NOT get cocky. II. Do NOT get greedy. III. Don’t leave any evidence behind. IV. Don’t leave the fitting rooms a mess. V. Don’t hurt others economically while lifting (see #11 above) VI. Don’t argue when caught. Be respectful. VII. Don’t be sloppy. VIII. Always check for tags. Everywhere. Three times. IX. Do “shop” confidently. Be intrigued. X. Always be a bad bitch.
Sorry for this being so long. Idk how to do the under the cut thing and I’m on mobile anyway. Hope this helped some of you.
🙊🙊this has so many notes I love all of you
I had to go to Dollar General with my mom, and I didn’t have my purse :/
But I couldn’t let this trip go to waste! No SA, no LP, barely and customers, and the most UNREAL blind spot I’ve ever seen. I went to my blind spot, put it in the waistband of my jeans, and used my oversized hoodie to be discrete.
I don’t even have a car lmao. I’ve always been obsessed with these though, and I’ve always wanted to collect them. They’re so cute. So my collection has started, and I’ve lifted the first time since I made this blog. (Even tho I lifted the day before and started a million years ago lol)

Prosecution policies in certain stores! Some of this info could be wrong but this seems to be the general policy on stores from what I’ve gathered. If you notice any errors or have additional information about a particular store I’ll edit it in.
Aeropostale: No chase policy/Doesn’t prosecute/No LP, staff has little or no LP training/Cameras are not actively monitored
Abercrombie & Fitch: No chase policy/Sometimes prosecutes but often will just ask for merchandise back without civil demand/Only LP is staff, some care, some don’t/Cameras are not actively monitored
American Eagle: No chase policy/Will prosecute/Limited LP but will occasionally use plain clothes/Cameras are not actively monitored
Best Buy: Has active and good LP. Will follow you into the restroom if they suspect you, they will also call the police the second they see you conceal something. There is a stationary guard at the entrance who monitors cameras throughout the store.
Burlington Coat Factory: Somewhat dangerous.
CVS: No chase policy but will attempt to get your license plate/Will prosecute/Store managers will sometimes act as plain clothes LP/Cameras are not usually monitored
Dicks Sporting Goods: Poor LP
Dillards: Very dangerous.
Fred Meyers*:
Hollister: Same as Abercrombie & Fitch
H&M: Chase policy and prosecution policy unknown/Very good LP for a small store, even in small stores will use plain clothes or a security guard/Camera status unknown
King Supers: Good LP
Kmart: Will chase.
Kohls: Dangerous store to shoplift at, has active LP who make fitting room stops.
Lord & Taylor*: Will chase you/ Will either prosecute or issue civil demand depending on circumstances/Extremely good LP, plain clothes are used and are often off-duty cops/Cameras are actively monitored.
JC Penny*: Will chase you/Will either prosecute or issue civil demand/LP is decent but not as good as Macys, occasionally uses plain clothes/Cameras are actively monitored
Macys*: Will chase you/Will either prosecute or issue civil demand/Above average LP, plain clothes are common/Cameras are actively monitored
Meijers: Will chase.
Mervyns: Dangerous.
Sears*: Will chase you/Will prosecute, sometimes issues civil demand/Extremely good LP, uses plain clothes/Cameras are actively monitored
Sephora: Will Chase/Will issue civil demand and call police, may prosecute depending on circumstances, will issue a trespass order for 1 year/No plainclothes/No monthly quota on shoplifting aprehensions/Very well and actively-monitored cameras that are full colour, and can pan as well as zoom in/nothing has a security tag/There is one dedicated employee who monitors all the cameras, and has radio contact with all (or just the LPs) staff members in the store/There are generally more than 2 LPs active in the store with the camera guy behind the scenes/LP is well trained and even regular staff has a degree of LP training
Staples: There are two kinds of store layouts. The old store layout consists mainly of rows of aisles, and the new store layout has more of a maze layout like Bestbuy. The cameras in the stores with old layouts are mostly fake, while the newer stores employ several low-profile cameras designed to monitor internal theft. In both stores the cameras are not usually monitored.
Stop & Shop: Chase policy unknown/Will prosecute/Uses plain clothes LP and staff will often look for shoplifters/Cameras are often monitored and are numerous
Target*: Will chase you/Will prosecute, sometimes but rarely issues civil demand/Extremely good LP and employees are given an incentive to look out for shoplifters/Cameras are actively monitored and are very high quality
Walgreens: No chase policy/Will prosecute/Does not have active LP but the staff will sometimes try to act as LP. They aren’t supposed to and can not legally stop you/Cameras are not usually monitored although there is usually one employee in the back room near the cameras, so be aware of that.
Walmart*: Will chase you/Will either prosecute or issue civil demand/LP often poor but ranges from store to store/Cameras are actively monitored/Has a policy not to prosecute under $25
*Stores marked with an asterick are known to enter shoplifters into a national database.“
Good lifting accounts?
Looking for some more accounts for tips about lifting any accounts in mind?☺️☺️
could you give us some tips on how to lift things with different types of tags?
You can either peel off the sticker tags and discard them somewhere in the store or slice them in half to deactivate. Any and all tags should always be removed before leaving a store. Even if you’ve gotten away with it before or think you can get away with the alarms going off when you leave (for any reason), it’s better safe than sorry. You never know what cop-wannabe or actual cop is gonna be in your way that day. Anyway, here’s how to remove all kinds of tags, or at least the ones that I’m aware of:
^Gator tags can only be removed by force. I don’t mean brute strength, like ripping them apart with your hands (you could if you get lucky, some people have). I’ve only removed them with rubber bands/hair ties but there are a few other tricks. Here is a video on the rubber band trick and here is one on the card trick. No video, but here’s a random pic I found about the pliers method lol.
^Supertags need a detacher hook. As you can see in the pic, there’s an obvious hole at the top to put said hook into. Here is a video on how to remove these- the relevant part starts at 1:35 (beginning is for magnetic tags, which I’ll talk about next). SuperTags can be finicky to remove in general and are my least favorite to deal with because of this.I’ve heard of some SuperTags being screamers (they have a speaker on them and will make a loud sound if you fuck up) so be careful about those ones!
All other tags need a magnet. That includes all the ones pictured above. The beginning of the video I just linked for hook tags shows how to remove some of these. The ones on the right are called Alpha S3 tags and “require a key”, but the key is essentially just a magnet-on-a-stick and can be opened with rectangular N52 neodymium magnets. Here is a video about removing Alpha tags but be very careful about the alarm ones. Like I said before, if you fuck up, the whole store will hear the alarm. We don’t call them screamers for nothing and many lifters will not try to remove these because the risk is too great. Don’t ever try to cut the wire on the loop (right pic, bottom row, second from the left) and spider ones (just to the right of the loop screamer).
If you don’t have anything to remove the tags, then you have to cut them out. I’ve never done it myself but people that do this say that you only have to make a small slit right where the pin goes in and you should be able to remove the tag without doing too much damage.
Once you get the tag off, discard them. The easiest way is bringing in untagged clothes and attaching the tag to those. Some people attach the tag to already-tagged clothes in an inconspicuous spot in hopes that the SA that finds it will just think it was a mistake (this is called double-tagging). With these two methods, you don’t want to give the clothes back to the fitting room attendant when you’re done, but put them back yourself. You could also tape them to the bottom of the seat or shove them behind the mirror or light but I think that’s the easiest way to get caught, especially if the fitting room is thoroughly checked after each customer leaves, but if the fitting room is unattended and messy, then this could work. Another way is bringing the tags out with you and hiding them around the store- either inside clothes or the back of drawers or behind furnishings. Whatever you do, just make sure they won’t be found until you’re long gone.
Last but not least, here are all the tips on tags that I have reblogged. All of the tips I just talked about and a lot more details can be found there. If you’re ever confused in the store, like you forgot what kind of tag needs what or you don’t recognize a tag, just use process of elimination! Does a magnet stick to it? Is there a hole for a hook? Does the hook actually fit in this hole?
I hope that answered your question because this took a long time haha.
