Remember those production design drawings that got scrapped? Here’s what I ended up doing instead…

Intended to make a diptych, we’ll see if I get around to the Kylo Ren one!

Art trade with a friend from CSSSA - concept was for a scifi/steampunk Alice in Wonderland-esque guard for suit royalty (spades, hearts, diamonds, clubs), and a gun that shoots playing cards, loaded with magazines consisting of card decks.

A dog whined, shivering, on the front porch. The front door recognized the dog voice and opened. The dog, once huge and fleshy, but now gone to bone and covered with sores, moved in and through the house, tracking mud.

In the kitchen the breakfast stove gave a hissing sigh and ejected from its warm interior eight pieces of perfectly browned toast, eight eggs sunnyside up, sixteen slices of bacon, two coffees and two cool glasses of milk.

They were a ring of shifting, compressing, changing faces over him, looking down, looking down, reading the time of his life or death by his face, making his face into a moon-dial, where the moon cast a shadow from his nose out upon his cheek to tell the time of breathing or not breathing any more ever.
