That seemed to do it- the squeaky voice that could only belong to the one and only Michael Theodore Mouse- shook him out of his frozen spell and sprung him into action with an exuberant yelp. He sprinted five whole steps before dropping to his knees and sliding the rest of the way to the mouse King. He took the Mouse’s large hand, pumping it rapidly in his excitement.

“Can I just say I’m your biggest fan?!” He gushed, before he stopped, thought about it, then shook his head. “No no, Riku is your biggest fan- but I come a close second!” He insisted, blue eyes ablaze with determination. “You were my childhood! You’ve done so much for me-!” He sniffed, eyes stinging with tears, and he rubbed one forearm against his eyes. “I can’t thank you enough-!”

Sora had had some strange dreams lately- about worlds with magic, and keyblades, and heartless- but this would probably be the one he told his family about in his excitement. (Sorry keyblade wielders, you simply don’t compare to Mickey Mouse.)

“Can I-?” He sniffed, big, baby blue eyes shining with excited tears. “Can I be your friend?”

Poor Sora. Once he learned all this was real, and this was indeed a real person he had been fawning over, he would be horrifically embarrassed, and apologize profusely for his emotions and forwardness, and then likely hide his face from the King for weeks on end, if he could help it. But for now, this was simply a dream, one which Sora couldn’t help but fanboy over.

 “ .. Woah -- “   The King found himself bein’ taken back over how .. Sora ? he can’t explain it for sure but the fella was currently geeking over how he was apparently his ‘ childhood ‘ ..      It’s great that people think of him as a great source of inspiration and hope but this is a little much -- not that he’s complainin’, he’ll take any love he can get in all honesty! 

  “ .. Sure, i don’t see why not ! “ Mickey didn’t feel like casting away a stranger especially since one was so devoted into fangirling over his highness at the moment .. but this brought some thought to the mouse .   

 Did the Star Shard lead him to some alternate dimension or universe .. ?

“ .. Nazrin ? “   Mickey thought upon himself but that name didn’t even ring a bell in the slightest .. Hmm – Anywho , no time for questionin’ it’s time for introductions . 

 “ Nice to meetcha’ Youmu, my name is Mickey ! “  “ King Mickey . “  Mickey chuckled a little before his tone quickly shifted into a serious one , ready to answer whatever questions she may have about the Heartless who he had hoped were only invading this world for a small while .   “ What you were fighting were Heartless, they’re after fella’s hearts ! “ 

“They’re after people’s hearts? That’s a strange thing to want, isn’t it? Though I did notice when I was fighting them they weren’t exactly aiming for my chest, so I don’t think they were trying to get my heart.”

“Wait, did you say you were a king? King of what, exactly? I didn’t know Gensokyo had any kings… Or are you perhaps from the outside? I have way too many questions…”

“Anyway, besides that. Why weren’t my swords doing anything to those Heartless things? My danmaku didn’t work either. Yet when you got here you hit them with that weapon you have and they immediately vanished. Is that some kind of special weapon or something?”

  “ .. It’s a Keyblade ! “   Mickey held his Keyblade triumphantly into the air before it vanished into light particles so he could always summon it again for later use, now hopping up a bit as he turned to face back towards Youmu, blue-hues focusin’ .   “ I’m .. not from around here, to be exact . “   Order was not to be upheld in a universe that he did not seem to be from as these had nothing to do with .. It .    But he still can’t say much on behalf of his Master’s orders .   “ Nothin’ really works on those things except for Keyblades and enchanted stuff such as advanced magics ! “

" .. Sure -- i wouldn't mind ! "

Sora does a double take for a moment, blinking in shock. Then he rubs his fists against his eyes before blinking in shock again. Then he points to the king in astonishment, with repeated, speechless gaping like a fish. And then his jaw drops, open in a silent scream of disbelief.

Mickey just watches Sora do all of these actions with a .. curious expression on his face, but for some reason this felt like a different person rather than the Sora he knew. Was he brought to some weird dimension again by the Star Shard .. ? " .. Whatcha' geekin' over , pal ? " The King asked with curious thought .

  gonna be binging the Kingdom Hearts series to get more of a grasp on the character, so apologies if i seem to be on low activity for a bit .

“ .. Ya’ don’t look like you’re from around here -- ya’ lost ? “   The Curious King asked the other as he kept his Keyblade slung over his back, not looking to get into a fight at all, but just keeping it summoned just in-case this guy tried anythin’ funny .

       ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤMickey had only been using the Star-Shard to travel between worlds for a while now and barely got the gist of it as he was in his search to purify the world’s of heartless .    “ Here we .. go ! “   The King disappeared in a violent flash of radiant colors as he was initially headed towards a world but was somehow steered off course, appearing in the wrong place but at the right time – as it seemed there were heartless in this world too .   “ Watch out ! “ 

 Seeing that somebody was surrounded by Shadow Heartless as their weapon was barely scratching them, the King hopped to the rescue as he stepped in-front with a Holy Aura surrounding them both before the Heartless were all dissipated in one slash from his Keyblade .   Now turning back to face Youmu as he desummoned his weapon, giving off the usual cheerful smile he does to strangers he meets – hopin’ to acquire new friendships .   “ Ya’ alright ? “ 

“…A mouse? A talking mouse? That’s very strange…” Youmu, I’m sure you know who Nazrin is, right?

“O-oh right. Thank you for the help just now. My swords didn’t seem to be working on them. I must have been fighting them for nearly thirty minutes. I was afraid they were gonna hold off until I ran out of energy and then they’d just finish me off.” Youmu was quite clearly out of breath at this stage.

“What were those strange creatures… Oh, my apologies. My name is Youmu Konpaku. May I ask for your name too?”

“Your majesty!” Launchpad saluted, messy towel, wrench, and all still in his hand as he rushed to get himself in proper form. In his haste, he smacked himself upside his temple with the wrench and let out a cry of pain.

“Eh- What can I do for you?” he asked, rubbing the sore spot.

   Mickey was taken back a bit by the sudden welcome from the other but he sorta’ recognized who it was .. from what Donald told him a while ago -- one of his Uncle’s pal’s !   Not sure but he hasn’t seen that fella in a while now .. maybe Launchpad oughta’ know ?   “ I’m here on a special mission , would ya’ happen to know where Donald is ? “
