24/30 - Almost there! Tried to take a more painterly approach to this one. The brushes from @maxulichney sure do help with that! I quick snapped this picture while exploring La Jolla. The colors got me 🤩 but I also ended up finding a cool process for painting palm leaves. 16/30 for #pleinairpril - Today was a perfect day at the beautiful @balboapark for some painting. I was planning on cleaning this sketch up at home but decided to share it as is. The goal of this challenge (or really any sketch for that matter) isn’t to create a masterpiece every time. While this is a pretty loose sketch, it’s actually one of my favorites so far. I’ve been taking a class on color and had a few ah-ha moments, which is so rewarding. On a side note, another thing I love about plein air, and art in general, is how it naturally brings people together.
