       “      yes,   i’m   familiar,    ”   he   replies,   no   expression  on   his   face  as  he   takes   another   sip   of   his   coffee,   brow   low   and   neutral   enough   to   convey   only   a   light   sense   of   his   usual   pessimism.      he   says   nothing,   waiting   patiently   for   dick’s   ultimate   reveal  :   it   always   happened   right  before  some  explanation  of   non  -  lethal   news  ,    his   voice   upturned  in   timbre   and   rose   with   relief   of   pressure   ---   like  the   gradual   roll   of   a   drum   right   before   the   explosive   fanfare.    and,   like   fanfare,   it   let   him   know   to  pay   attention.    after  a   pause,   his    eyebrow   quirks   as   he   takes  in   the   black  ,   fluffy   sight.         “      ----       you   got   a   dog.   ”       he   repeats,    “     ----   why  ?  ”

honestly, dc is quaking. your interpretation of bruce is just the most galaxy brained thing i’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. all of your metas and headcanons really renew my appreciation for his character and you also don’t deny that he is also sometimes not The Greatest. you just have the best balance of reality and character comprehension i’ve ever seen. i’m trying not to rant because there’s so much in love about the way you write bruce but like... hhh don’t ever stop don’t ever stop!!!

i’m  all  for  bruce   groggily   calling   the  younger  kids  by   the  older  kids’  names   when  he’s   dissociating   /    drugged  up   for   the  #  angst   but   also ,,,,   when  he’s   trying  to  yell   for   one  of   them  but  it’s  like   “   caRRIE --  wait  , no  -- DICK  --  ACE  ----   TIM  COME  HERE  ”

tbh   how   about  instead  of   bruce   at  parties   with  women  on  his  arm    that  he  thinks   are  shallow  and  vapid   and   only  uses  for   cover,   bruce  at  parties   hanging  w/   models   &  women  bc  they’re  interesting  and  he  actually  listens  when  they  talk   ‘cause   he   gets   written  off   as   depthless  and  superficial   by   Choice   but   they  don’t   have  that  choice   so   he  wants  to  be   not  a   jerk ,,,,  like   how  about  that  ,,,,,
