molecular acceleration - the power to take the potential energy stored in an object and convert it to kinetic energy, thus “charging” that item with explosive results. the only real limitation to this power is the larger the object, the longer it takes to charge up.
static interference - able to create a natural static energy shield around his mind, making it difficult for telepaths to enter his mind.
master martial artist - trained from a young age in savante ( french kickboxing ) and bojutsu.
𝐀𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍: remy’s loyalty lies with the x-men and the thieves guild -- two wildly different groups. with views that differ from time and time, remy can boil down his loyalty to familial ties: he cares about his adopted family in the guild and hos found family in the x-men. a lifelong petty criminal, he doesn’t trust s.w.o.r.d. or s.h.i.e.l.d.

was your character “blipped” out? if not, who important to them was blipped out, and what has it felt like after those five years have passed?
remy was not blipped. while losing mutants around him hurt, especially his students, he was relieved to have not lost rogue. things only got stranger when the guild approached him for the first time in years: jean-luc had been blipped and after henri’s death, the title of king fell to him. with the guild of thieves on the brink of falling, remy had no choice but to return home and claim his title. leaving new york was hard, he didn’t tell many people what had happened, not wanting the x-men to get involved with his own issues, distrust towards him was already bad enough in the guild due to how long he had been running with heroes.
for five years, remy’s main base if operation was new orleans with the guild. slowly under his leadership ( and help from his ex-wife ) remy built the guild of thieves back up, as well as strengthening relationships with the rivaling assassins guild, no marriage needed this time. he returned to new york a handful of times, only to see the few people who knew the truth, but the guild took up most of his time.
when those who were blipped returned, jean-luc officially retired as leader making remy more than just a regent leader. he returned back to new york shortly after, his father looking after the guild. he still makes frequent trips back to new orleans, though thanks to the magic of technology he manages to run the new orleans branch of the thieves guild from a heavily-protected laptop ( as well as offering the occasional helping hand to the new york branch ).
where are they living? are they living with anyone?
he’s got himself a swanky apartment in tribeca. how he affords it? one can only guess.
why is your character affiliated with who they’re affiliated with?
remy doesn’t trust s.w.o.r.d. or s.h.i.e.l.d. he sticks to his own people, the x-men and the thieves guild.
who are their major friends, allies, and foes?
his oldest friends are the x-men, he found a family amongst them after being banished from the only family he had ever known. in the x-men however, he’s always been closest with rogue, despite their tumultous romantic relationship, he still considers her his best friend at the end of the day. on th topic of tumultous relationships, the thieves guild is a newer ally for him, at least again. it had been a rough time regaining their trust after he was forced to lead them, but now he has the loyalty and power of the thieves guild across the globe behind him.
his closest allies outside of those groups? his cats. currently it is remy and his boys against the world.
he considers anyone a threat to the x-men and the thieves guild an enemy. but an extra big fuck you to nathaniel essex/mr. sinister and candra from mr. lebeau.
whose hands do they believe the country should be in?
truly is too busy running his underworld empire to care about the country... sorry y’all, but people who don’t hate mutants are a great start.
what’s their current mental state at? their physical state?
physically, remy is in great shape. he cares about his physical appearance a little too much sometimes. he often finds himself training to blow off steam.
mentally, remy feels lost. he’s living two different lives right now and doing a great job of making sure x-men and guild business don’t overlap. while he’s never felt truly deserving of the ‘hero’ title, even more so now he feels like a fraud while being with the x-men. it’s wearing him down a bit, having to lie to the people he loves about what really happened during those five years.
