now that i’m on the topic. the only two people that actually believe in the whole “devil worship” thing in the firefly family are baby and otis.

people need to keep in mind that house of 1000 corpses takes place in the 70s. the whole cliche idea of worshiping satan wasn’t how it is now. of course, people now are much more educated on the pentagram, satanism, the whole thing. but in the time period that the movie takes place, it’d make sense the firefly family would pull the very stereotypical and misrepresented image of a satanist. i’m stating this because i don’t want people to think i’m out here agreeing that the pentagram is an evil symbol or symbol of satan as it’s been so wrongly used for YEARS in media. the firefly family, for the most part, use the whole cliche “devil worship” idea to scare people. for the most part. this is a very large topic to cover, and i can be here all day hitting the different branches of satanism, etc ... and all the symbols. the idea of satanists are out here worshiping a red horned man and sacrificing people is so, so, so wrong. and something media has played on for YEARS. the church of satan was established in 1966, which then caused an uproar, what’s also known as the satanic panic. if people read up on anton lavey, his beliefs, read his books even you’d VERY quickly learn that it’s not what it’s portrayed to be.
