PRIDE. -What is your muses biggest flaw?

 Self sacrificing, to the point of cutting parts of himself away to give to anyone who might need them. His boundaries are poorly enforced, giving in to the slightest push for things he may not want.

FEEL

FEEL. -How does your character react to a persons touch? A random stranger’s? A loved one’s? A friend’s?

He’s generally touch starved. Jim is an affectionate person, who likes hugs, being close, and generally being with people. He’s not a loner, except when he’s depressed.

Most people he tends to unconsciously lean into a touch. Strangers he may shoot them a look, be confused, but generally be okay with someone brushing him or patting him on the back. Loved ones and friends he craves their touch and affection like he craves the sun. Desperately, constantly. He won’t make himself get it, but he would always lean into their touch, intentionally and enthusiastically.

He blinks, one of his ears twitching. “Yeah, that would be me? Did you need something?”

The trollhunter had come so far on his own from a young age. At just a couple of decades, he already had the skills and reflexes of even the most experienced hunters. Nadia wasn’t sure if she had anything to even teach. Even out in the woods at night, he didn’t even need to feel the magical energies in the soil and trees to guide him around. His experience, reflexes and intuition was already doing so. 

The night demonstration was enlightening. Nadia just watched Jim spar with another troll, already finding it hard to keep up with his agility. Not surprisingly, the spar ended with Jim winning. Nadia raised a halting hand above her head.

“STRA’VIN’TI!” she called for the match to stop, then smiled. “Very impressive, Jim, as always.” She excused the other troll to stand by Jim’s side, handing him a towel to dry off any sweat. Trolls normally didn’t perspire, but Jim seemed to. “I think you’ll be teaching me a new trick or two at this point.” Nadia chuckled. “If you feel its not necessary, you don’t have to keep training with me.”

“Actually,” Jim said, wiping the towel against his face, “I did want to keep training with you. To teach you some fighting moves of your own.”

This took her off guard. Nadia looked to him as he put the towel down on the ground.

“…what was that?”

“I heard you don’t actually know how to fight.” Jim explained. “So, I can teach you how. I mean, what would happen if you couldn’t use your magic?”

Nadia hesitated, then gave an uneasy smile.

“Oh, I have my own backup methods. You don’t need to worry about me.”

“That’s something I can’t help. I make sure everyone knows the basics. And I’ve never seen you fight before.”

Again, she hesitated. As used as she was to having her bluffs called, she never had to rectify them.

“Alright.” she accepted, putting both hands on her staff. “Teach me the basics, Trollhunter.” Jim headed to the middle of the clearing as Nadia picked the towel up to try on a nearby branch. This should be an interesting training session.
