After what feels like forever, ya girl Yuan is finally back at it with Celice. I’m going to be dropping all of my threads here, although I might continue some with my ship partner I’m up for a fresh start. I’m probably going to try and focus on a lot more multi-verse interactions these days , but I’ll still hit up any Fire Emblem blogs that are interested.
So if you’re up to RP with an independent Celice / Seliph from Fire Emblem : Genealogy of the Holy War, please hit that like / reblog / follow button. Please read my rules too, there’s some very important information about my ship in there that would be important to know before following!
♞ - The day is relatively calm, yet Fin is always on guard just in case anything happened. The man should have a break sometimes... However, the silence was interrupted by a few coughs sneeze from the Lenster knight himself. Oh no, was he getting sick? It would normally happen later in the season, why now? At least no one was around for the time being, which meant he wouldn’t spread his coughing fits... or is there someone here?

♞ - It was a relief to have Princess Tana stay with Erika, they were in good hands for the time being. Fin had been ordered by Prince Innes to look after Tana, even if the princess didn’t want anyone watching over her. The journey to Erika’s army was long, often getting into skirmishes with bandits. Now… finally they have a place to rest.
“ Thank you for your hospitality, Princess Erika, “ he says, bowing down to her. “ Princess Tana and her army had gone through a long journey to see you. We will fight for you during these hard times. “
Through blood and war, little moments of peace were truly the things she had come to appreciate… after all, war was never good for morale, desperate times where most sounds she heard were the screams on the battlefield… insects chirping with a clear sky, pulled her out of the nightmare of the war they currently faced.
Pulled out of her thoughts as she noticed Fin arriving to their site, it was a relief to say that they seemed to make it without being harmed… Grateful for any help, and grateful that Tana was safe as well… war was unpredictable– despair lurking at every corner…
‘ It’s not a problem… after all I should be thanking both you and Tana… ’
A gentle smile curled on her lips, thinking that with more people around, it might get more lively… after all, with a gloomy cloud casting over the continent, sometimes smiling was the best thing to do.
‘ Thank you for all your efforts… I hope that the trip wasn’t too dangerous… ’
♞ - “ Bandits tried to ambush us from time to time, but we were able to fend them off, fortunately. “ he replies. If any Grado forces were to attack Tana’s group, it could have turned out ugly. It’s something they’re trying their best to avoid until they grouped up with Renais.
“ I do have to admit, the situation with Grado is only becoming more strained by the moment. With so many on their side... I can’t help but feel uneasy. Ambushes are bound to come along the way. “
Einherjar - Gaius and Fin
(Fin):
♞ - Spar? Well… it wouldn’t hurt not to train against someone. The knight had been summoned here for a reason, after all. Watching this ginger-haired man attack the dummy, Fin could tell this man was more of an aggressive fighter. Quick, but deadly.
“ … Very well, if there’s enough energy within you to spar. Maybe you should rest first. “ he suggests, crossing his arms while looking at the other. While he did keep to himself, he certainly has heard about Gaius through word of mouth. He was aware that Gaius had a rotten sweet tooth, but that’s about as much as he knows. Maybe he will get to know this man a bit more through sparring.
Gaius quirked a red brow at the man. How odd that he would suggest Gaius rest first when he was the one who stood watching from afar. He also knew Fin was a celebrated hero of old–surely the man would want to test his mettle against the thief?
“Riiight,” he mused, “and I suppose you’re watchin’ me for another reason? Look, I know I’m unbelievably sexy, but I don’t swing that way, sorry to say. Besides, you’re a spirit, so I doubt a fine man like you can take little old me out for a spin, you know?” At this, Gaius gave the spirit a smarmy grin. It was obvious he was being sarcastic.
But heaving a sigh, he beckoned to the Einherjar. When he approached, Gaius handed him a practice blade before taking his own stance. Sharp green eyes watched his new opponent, waiting for the other man to give a nod to begin.
“After you,” he said with a mock bow.
♞ - “... Excuse me? “ Was this guy a womanizer of sorts? Fin knew there was a certain mercenary who has a very strong interest in girls, but he wasn’t aware there was another one... He sighs before accepting the practice blade. He wasn’t the best with a sword, as his weapon of choice is the lance, but this will make do.
“ Very well. Prepare yourself! “ he says before getting into a battle stance. Deciding to take a swing at the thief, he wanted to see how the other will react. Perhaps he will dodge it, or try to counter attack. Misreads of any sort can result in death in a real battle, so this would be a good time to train the candy thief.
Einherjar - Gaius and Fin

Since traversing through the Outrealm Gate, Chrom had come back with countless new allies. Unlike the rest of the Shepherds, however, these new soldiers glowed with an eerie, blue aura. Once explaining to his soldiers that these new allies were heroes of old, the Shepherds learned to grow more lax around them.
Days passed with little skirmishes. Nevertheless, the Shepherds could be seen training tirelessly. Gaius was one of the men who threw himself against a training dummy, his sword leaving deep gashes within the wood of his opponent. As he made to step back to wipe the sweat from his brow, he felt another presence lingering nearby. When he turned, he noticed one of the Einherjar watching him from afar.
The two stared at each other in silence, prompting the Ylissean thief to nervously rub at the back of his neck. He knew of Fin… albeit vaguely. Sometimes, the orphanages in which he grew up would tell the children of the heroic deeds the men and women of old had committed.
“Er…”
Gaius didn’t know what to say. He knew the Einherjar preferred to keep to themselves, though he couldn’t ignore the gaze that bored into him. This prompted the Ylissean to hold his sword up and call to the other man, “hey, I dunno what your deal is, but if you want to spar, just say so.” Whether the spirit took his offer or not was yet to be seen.

♞ - “ Fin. “ he says in response to Inshel’s quick introduction. Her name is odd, it complements a personality such as hers. A mysterious figure, he still wouldn’t keep his guard down entirely around this girl. As the two continued to walk through the woods, Fin had gotten this feeling that someone- somebody might be here.
All of a sudden, there was an extra pair of footsteps, which caused Fin to turn around as quick as he can. A bandit had an axe raised to harm the witch! With a swift thrust, the lance Fin had in hand punctured through the bandit’s chest effortlessly.
“ HYAH! “ he shouts as he attacked the other. The bandit shouts in pain as he collapses, the lance no longer through his chest. Fin could only stare grimly at the dying bandit before redirecting his attention towards Inshel.
“ Are you okay? “
Turned back to continue the conversation, to thank him for sharing his name, Inshel squeaks slightly, eyes wide as the flurry of movement occurs just a few steps behind her.
Yet she doesn’t flinch, only barely responds to the violence with a sharp flare of her markings. Her expression falls from it’s usual pleasantness into cold neutrality.
“Ah. I’m quite fine, thank you. Careless of me not to notice. I’m glad you caught wind of him in time, Fin. I’m in your debt. Give me just a moment.”
Careful steps carry her over to the dying man, who gurgles some insult weakly. Kneeling beside him, hands hover over the hole in his chest. Blue sparks race up her arms, as she murmurs,
“Hush.” Something black and murky creeps out of the man’s chest, into her palms, settling into the markings that adorn her fingers. He makes another sound, and the life fades from his eyes. Inshel closes his eyelids, then rises.
“We may go now. The woods will take his body back.”
There is a pause, and she turns back to her usual sunny disposition.
“I appreciate your save. My hero!”
♞ - The atmosphere became more chilling, it felt like time stopped for a moment, the only one in motion was Inshel. Something black was seeping out of the man’s body, and once it had gone into the witch’s markings, the bandit’s moving ceased. These markings of hers... there’s more to them than just looks. Suddenly before he got to think further into what he thought of the situation, Inshel’s change in demeanor had gotten his attention.
“ ... Hero? I only protected you from harm, Inshel. You wouldn’t survive such a wound, likely to bleed out. “ he comments while scratching his head in confusion. Even then, he was lucky that he reacted as fast as he did. If were to act too late, it could have cost Inshel’s life.
♞ - A witch who uses magic the same way as mages? He hasn’t seen those types of people before, especially with unique markings on their body. The glow was soft, almost calming to stare at, but the knight was more than positive the woman before him wouldn’t like that. Silence lasts for a short while.
“ I’m assuming these woods are your domain? It seems the safest option for someone like you. “ Fin was often not a man of many words, but he did get his point across. Perhaps this could be a new acquaintanceship in the works?
“I suppose you could say that– I don’t own the woods, but I do spend a great deal of time here. I live here, in a sense, though I wander more often than than not. A nomad, if you will. Very few people come out here, it’s for the best, I think. Not that I’m not friendly!”
Then she’s laughing and nodding in turn.
“Yes, safe. I don’t want to hurt people, after all, and experimental magic is…volatile, sometimes. That and…oh, I don’t know. Best to keep the roads safe by chasing the bandits further into the dark, no? People have wars and more important battles to fight than wasting their time chasing off no-good cutpurses– Oh! I’ve not even told you my name, have I? I’m very sorry.”
Stopping mid-step she hastily bows at the waist to the knight.
“Inshel, my friend.”
♞ - “ Fin. “ he says in response to Inshel’s quick introduction. Her name is odd, it complements a personality such as hers. ♞ - There was something unsettling about the man before him. The atmosphere is much more tense than before. It felt… hostile. Was he being threatened? He was merely focusing on the task at hand, but he didn’t expect this to happen.
“ … I am only doing as I am told, sir. Please, refrain from attempting to leave. “
Eyes narrow, if only slightly, at the intruder. Cat-like, and reminiscent of a predator gazing upon its prey, unaware of the glowing eyes that follow it well into the night.
❝ I am not going anywhere, sir. What do you want from me ? ❞ Too blunt, perhaps ? Though he was quickly growing annoyed at the time wasted, when he could be long gone and wondering through the closest village for his next meal. He was not keen on missing the night’s feast– least his hunger, and anger, get the best of him.
❝ I’ve business to attend to. Is it truly so much of a concern to His Highness of what I do in my spare time ? ❞
♞ - Tension continues to grow, with the ever so pale man glaring at the Paladin. If anything were to happen, Fin was more than prepared to defend himself. There is a reason why he was promoted to a Paladin, after all. The grip on his lance tightens slightly, showing more of a defensive stance towards the other.
“ Yes. He had told me a certain person would leave the castle walls during this time of night, though for what reason he didn’t say. I am assuming that is you. “ he states, giving the other a relatively blank look. He had a feeling he wasn’t told why this person leaves for a very specific reason.
knightoflenster // FIN:
♞ - No need to worry, young Laslow, for Fin is merely a bit shy… and emotionally dead. Nothing better than heavy emotional trauma. He will open up a bit more as time passes, it’s at least nice to know that he met someone who’s not from around here. Another kingdom, perhaps? He also noticed that it was only the two of there that were out in the open right now. Well, at least there’s no one around besides them.
“ As you can tell, I am not from this country. I’m Fin, Duke Knight of Lenster, serving Lord Leaf. Pleasure to meet you, Laslow. “ he responds, nodding at the man before him. “ If we fight together in battle, I will look over you. “ he seemed like a good man. Someone such as himself to be fighting out there? It was admirable.
THE DEAD EMOTION was a little unnerving, though if there was anyone more used to the lack of emotion from others, it would be Laslow. Instincts push a smile through despite his skepticism to not, nothing towards him, of course. Naturally it’s right for him to be a little skeptical with information, but he can relate to the need to be completely open about original whereabouts – and yet, in the exchange, Laslow had flat out lied. It wasn’t just Fin he had to make a connection with – and he still needed to keep himself protected. Telling one person the truth could be enough of a mess.
He’s only heard of Lenster in stories, ones his mother used to tell him at his bedside. From books on the shelf and improvisations from his uncle as to where he takes his sword skills from. Heart strings pull to the chords of childhood familiarity and disbelief, yet he couldn’t see Fin telling lies to him like this; it was almost too good to be true. Giddiness is hard to stop from rattling off a multitude of questions – this was childhood coming back ! How is this possible !?
Composure, composure. Clearing his throat, Laslow straightens his shoulders with his grin and giving a firm nod back to the other, ❝ The pleasure is mine, Fin. Know I have your back in any battle as well – I won’t let you down. ❞ A pause, hesitation to hold out a hand for customs finally extends, expecting the other’s acceptance of it to hold true to his promise. Not like he wouldn’t anyway.
❝ Would you like a tour ? O - or are you busy ? I’d hate to tear you from any duties you’re currently trying to uphold – ❞
♞ - It was easy to tell Laslow was itching to tell the knight something based off the other’s body gestures. Tense shoulders, his expression, throat clearing, ect. Definitely a bit unexpected for a mercenary such as Laslow (especially if he was a retainer), but he didn’t dig much deeper into it. Suddenly, Fin sees the open hand from the others and responds with giving a firm handshake, all while nodding at the other.
“ I don’t see a reason to say no. As far as I am aware, I haven’t received any orders within the past few hours. “ Perhaps the tour can be beneficial to him, since this area was still somewhat unfamiliar to him. It would be a pain to get lost...
♞ - Automatically he creates small distance between the two, not exactly trusting of the woman before her. While she did give good advice, the way she worded her sentences… it didn’t feel right. Was the woman possibly targeting him?
“ Bandits lurk here often, ambushing whatever victim they can get their hands on, yet you’re wandering around these woods. Why did you come here? “ he questions, making eye contact with the woman before him.
He’s hoping this isn’t a trap.
A small laugh meets his words. His caution is understandable, expected even. It wasn’t exactly normal to meet a woman covered in glowing markings in the middle of the woods on a walk. Her head inclines in a friendly manner.
“Oh, I’m aware. I come into the woods to look for herbs and to practice magic where I’m less likely to cause damage if an experimental spell goes awry. Better to burn down some trees, than homes.”
For all intensive purposes, she was being honest, straightforward.
“Occasionally, bandits will cross my path, but a well-placed bolt of lightning is usually enough to shoo them off. I prefer my forest stay quiet.”
[ …well, at least the guy was honest. Harlock stood up and straightened himself out. ] “I am Phantom F. Harlock, the leader of this mercenary group. You’re lucky we found you on that battlefield. Who knows what would’ve happened to you?”
[ Not that he cared much about it; they were simply looking for better weapons to handle. Finding a live warrior wasn’t anything new to him. It was a matter of asking questions, gaining information, and then letting the warrior leave. Or, if they wanted to leave sooner, they just let them leave with no questions asked. ]
♞ - Captain Harlock... he has heard of this name before. Why would someone like him even care about his well being? Did he not approve of war? He expected to be killed by now, he was the enemy.
“ Captain Harlock... Why do you let me live? We are enemies on the battle field, are we not? “ this was definitely a interesting interaction, something that won’t be forgotten. The knight also attempts to wipe off some of the blood on his wound with his sleeve, staining it.
