I've been writing a Heartland fic, but I haven't posted about it here at all. I just updated it today with chapter 34, but if you haven't read it and you're interested, it's on ff.net. I also have it up on AO3, but I'm one chapter behind in posting there because Heartland fics get more attention on ff.net so I don't always remember to update it there.
It's a Jisa fic. This is the summary for it. "Jack and Lisa are in an accident in Jack's truck. They must deal with the aftermath. Lisa doesn't remember her life with Jack. Will she be able to find her way back to loving him?"
I've been having fun writing it although I've been dealing with some pretty major writer's block lately. Thankfully the next few chapters are finally falling into place for me. It took a lot of sitting and staring at my computer or my phone while my mind would just go blank.
Edit: I thought that I put the link in for ff.net, but I didn't do it right and now I the site is down. AO3 is working though and it's all caught up now. If ff.net doesn't come back, I may start posting it on here as well.
My husband and I are still doing our Heartland rewatch. He has watched up through season 11, which we finished last night, but nothing beyond that. The only thing he knows about future seasons is that Ty dies and there are two more Katies.
When we were watching the show on vacation, he kept making jokes about how Val was the real hero of the show. He is still keeping it up. I know he's doing it because Lisa is one of my favorite characters, and he likes messing with me and making me laugh.
He has come up with a few ideas about Val that were really crazy so I suggested that he write a crack fic using them. I know he never will, but it's fun to joke about with him. Somehow, last night, he was starting a cult surrounding Val.
I'm doing a Heartland rewatch with my husband and he has said multiple times that Scott and Lou are his Roman empire.
*thinks about otp* NICE

i meant to be a casual fan but it ended up ruining my life
This is from 2020, but it definitely still applies.
I 100% agree that we should do this anyway
no I will not be normal about it I think you need to try being weird about it
It’s always a bummer when you like something like a tv show and all you want to do is share it with people. Someone who will freak out and enjoy it as much as you do. And then you watch it with them but they don’t pay as much attention, they just don’t have the same level of enjoyment and, well, obsession. Just sucks
Favourite moments of the 2023 NCAA gymnastics season:
Florida sophomore Morgan Hurd makes her collegiate debut on floor, marking her first competitive floor performance since June 2021.
We finally got a new car today. Someone backed into it while we were picking up dinner on our way home and drove off. The damage is minor. Because it was dark, we didn't notice, but someone in the parking lot saw it happen and let us know. We'll have to get it fixed because the paint is scratched, and we don't want it to rust. We've never had such a nice and new car and then this happens. I'm so frustrated.
I think our upstairs neighbor just fell out of bed. It was so loud. He woke up my husband.
