they have also scheduled some 12-hour “maintenance sessions” to occur on sundays during the enrollment period so be aware of those as well.

They’re basically doing everything in their power to make it as difficult as possible so young and healthy people don’t bother signing up in an effort to kill the program that way. This is the thing. ALL of the Black women who raised me were& are strong, defiant, unbelievably resilient, they are the backbone of my existence. BUT, it’s because they’ve had be this way. The choice to take a break, relax, cut themselves some slack was never given. They’ve had to fill in the gaps for all the men who didn’t pull their weight and it’s sad. Alice Walker and Zora Neale Hurston said “ Black women are the mule of the world” and as disturbing as it sounds, it’s true. Black women carry so much weight and responsibility and are often overlooked and under appreciated.
