thinking abt how niles is a night owl and tsubaki is an early bird, tsubaki has tried (to no avail) stay up with niles (when he's not training). when tsubaki goes to bed earlier and niles later, niles moves in close and puts one of tsubakis arms around him🙂‍↕️

inspiration & purpose.

happy father's day to tsubaki & matoi! they are the cutest parent-child duo to me, so i had to do a few doodles of them for father's day 🥹 if you haven't read their festival of bonds dlc conversation, it's the cutest thing ever!!

(also highly recommend reading their original support chain in japanese versus the localization, which oddly waters down tsubaki's lines in which oddly takes out the lines in which he says matoi's real self is more precious to him than any perfect fighting style, he loves everything about her.)

abt the who is taller debate I've always thought it was niles based on the 2d sprites?? He's a bit taller I think (They look around the same height but Tsubaki props himself up when Niles is slightly leaning his head down)

DEMONSTRATION. I think Niles would look taller if he actually stood straight. Tsubaki is also tilting his head a bit but not in the same way as Niles...? I'm mostly sending this because I've always seen Niles as taller (but around the same height). Regardless, anyone is free to headcanon anything they want, this is just my input.

YEAH I OVERALL AGREE WITH THIS. i also saw niles as taller by just a 🤏 little bit, i'm surprised to see tsubaki #sweeping the polls LMAO. i also interpreted the sprites the same way you did (ie niles more curled into himself, tsubaki tilting his head up).

devastated the characters never got official heights or ages but also, i can see why because (handwaves at the romance option in the game).

also speaking of slounched niles, that reminds me of how fucked up his back is in the outlaw battle map sprite (especially comparison to how straight the adventurer sprite stands) LOL.

EDIT 5.03.2016 :: Finally complete! All character, children, and Amiibos are on this chart. It’s easier to see height differences in the clothesless version, but I marked head heights with a blue line on the clothed version. All characters have the same head, so I used the Corrins’ heads to determine where the top of the heads of the other characters are. There are a few differences between this chart and the past few I’ve uploaded. You can see the blue lines better in the full-size files: [clothes] [no clothes] If you see any problems that I have not already addressed (camera, Forrest), let me know! Also, let me know if you want to see a few characters closer together and I’ll splice up an image for you.

IT'S REALLY ISNT THAT IMPORTANT AND IMPACTS LITERALLY NOTHING but i'm stuck with indecision paralysis in between who's taller between Tsubaki and Niles :think: I think the general consensus is that Niles is, but not by much?

#part of me is like i do feel like childhood malnutrition would impact niles's height to a certain degree but also like #because tsubaki is a sky knight (pegasus knight) i feel like there's a height limit before your height becomes a detriment LMFAO yfm #i also think taller tsubaki is cute and i do see him as tall regardless of outcome since he exemplifies unattainable/idealized social #standards but likewise it would be funny despite all of that niles is taller by a shy and doesnt give a shit #fe14 #fire emblem fates #kobanzme misc #also i do think tsubaki missing the mark just a shy from the ideal height also does play into the whole perfection complex forced on him #though so mmm :think:
