"Do you have a piece of paper by any chance?"
Nope, but you should check the library. Paper might be too dangerous for kids like us, we might stab someone with it.

I suppose there are creepy ones… [She nodded lightly before running a hand through her hair, trying to hide her exhaustion but failing miserably] Something like that. Night shifts. And the occasional Netflix. Oh, call me Angelia. People don’t really use my title.
Sounds like you're livin' the dream, huh, doc-- sorry... Ang. I couldn't do it, honestly. Sounds like you need a vacation. A very Netflix-ful vacation.
Oh, I’m the sarcastic one? I may be blonde, but I’m almost certain that sentence was just dripping with sarcasm.
Oh, it was absolutely soaked, blondie.
[She watched him freeze before trying to offer a smile, but actually to tired to do so] Sorry. That was not the best way to approach… Yeah, I’m a Doctor, nut not that kind of Doctor. I’m a therapist. Not creepy, see?
Oh, I don't know about all that. I've met some creepy therapists in my days. [He quirks his eyebrow up, noticing her tired expression.] You been up for like three days straight or somethin', doc?
Oh, I don’t know about that. I think I would beat you pretty easily. [Angelia mumbled, turning the corner as she heard his voice, glad that she had found someone. Hopefully it would be another member of the staff and she wouldn’t have to pretend to be totally comfortable around them. When she finally saw Kody, the blonde recognised him from the patient files, a small sigh escaping her lips] Hello, Kody.
[Stopping dead in his tracks, the boy swept his eyes over the stranger quickly, before determining he wasn't crazy-- he genuinely didn't know this woman.] Yeah so.. you obviously know me but I don't know you. Doctor? Either that or really creepy.
[Turning a corner casually, Kody stopped momentarily to glance around the unfamiliar hall, all the while muttering and cursing under his breath. Who knew it would be so hard to find something to do around this damn place.] If there was a Guinness Record for the amount of times someone could get lost, I would be the winner...
F E A R || Prompt #1
What does your character think of fear? What is their definition of it?
"Fear? Fear's one of those things everyone has... y'know? I think fear is that tight, clenching feeling you get in your chest when you see something scary. Or whatever you think it scary. Everyone thinks different things are scary. Personally, I think spiders are scary and I wanna kill 'em every time I see one. That's fear."
Was your character ever afraid of anything as a child? (the dark, for example?)
"When I was a kid I was scared of two things. My dad, and spiders. I could smash one with a shoe and feel better for a few minutes, at least."
Everyone is afraid of something. What is your character afraid of?
Although he won't admit it, one of Kody's worst fears is turning into a carbon copy of his father. After experiencing the man's reign and finally getting away from it, he's worried he'll turn into something along those lines, or worse. And spiders. Spiders are pretty terrible, too.
Has your character ever tried to overcome their fears? If offered something as compensation(money, freedom), would they try?
He's never actively tried to "overcome" his fear. Kody has been more likely to avoid alcohol and avoid the whole situation all together. He would probably try, if offered something, though.
How does your character react when faced with their fears? Do they react angrily? Do they cry? Explain.
When faced with his fear, Kody seems to lose all emotion. The boy becomes quiet, and seemingly cold. He processes all of his feelings internally, and was never one to outwardly express any emotion other than anger.

i backed my car into a cop car the other day well, he just drove off, sometimes life’s okay i ran my mouth off a bit too much, ah, what did i say? well, you just laughed it off and it was all okay
How can I resist that offer? I can finally check ‘hot, artistic one’ off the list of dream friends I wanted.
And I get the sarcastic, demanding blond? Oh, joy!
Danny was more than ready for the answer to her question. It was a big let-down when she was notified that she wasn’t allowed to know the name change because they had just met. In which actually, Danny understood herself the significance of a name. It was a reason that she really only went by Danny. “As suckish as this is, not being able to know the name you wish you had, I understand that I can’t now.” The brunette paused, stopping in the hall in front of him with a playful pout, “You have to at least promise me then that we will get close enough eventually so I can know, okay?” She spoke in the utmost hopefulness.
Danny moved out of his way, and taking his hand in hers after she answered her question, speeding up their walking pace, as she knew that they were getting closer to the pool. “We’re here.” She said with enthusiasm. The woman let go of his hand, opening the doors to the pool as she laughed gently. Danny turned her back to the pool to look at Kody in the eyes, “You ready?” She grinned.
Kody was only slightly shocked at her proposal of some kind of 'close friendship'. He blinked, trying to wrap his head around what possible reason this girl had for wanting to be friends with him, but it hurt his brain and thinking wasn't his strong point-- so he let it go. "Yeah. Yeah, I guess. If you can put up with me for that long without shoving an unsharpened pencil through my eye."
And, almost out of nowhere, the two exited a door and it opened up a whole new section of the asylum Kody didn't even know existed. It was strangely empty, everyone else must be at the mess hall or in the rec. room. The water glinted a clear blue in the sunlight, and it was mesmerizing at how gently it lapped the edge of the pool every few seconds. Swimming was something Kody never did much of, not even as a kid. "I was born ready."
So, who's next?
Am I allowed to ask what for or is that a secret?
I said we were acquaintances! Which is pretty much friends in my books. But, whatever, I’m sure there’s someone out there just dying to shower me with gifts.
Also, that was total sarcasm.
Pretty much? So can I put myself in the friend category or not? Because I can make a bitchin' macaroni portrait and I suggest you think hard about this answer.
Listening to now the name of the boy, Kody’s, analogy of why he believes that names are considered to be overrated, was very interesting. She never would have thought to see it in the way that he had. Danny formed a playful pout on her face hearing the fact of knowing so many people named Kody. She instinctively laughed, turning to him to nudge him lightly, “So, Kody.. If you were able to pick your name, what would you like for your name to be, exactly?”
Immediately she nodded, “Uh, yeah Danielle; Danielle is the long version of my name.” She then shrugged after she spoke.
"Are you kiddin' me? I've been preparing my whole life for this question. Like sitting and thinking about when someone is gonna ask me this same. Exact. Question," Kody articulated the words sharply, to get his point across. He wasn't exaggerating, either. His childhood was spent going over all the things he would change if he could, and it covered just about everything. "And here it is. But I can't tell you, I just met you."
"I knew a girl named Danielle once. We went to middle school together. Everyone made fun of her because she had braces." Kody was lost now. They had walked to an unfamiliar part of the asylum and he just hoped Danny knew where she was going at least.
"Oh, duh. I…..have four different names now. Lady Spontaneity, Nikki Nonsense, Wild Card, and my real name. I like sticky notes, jumping in piles of leaves, burning holes in things with cigarettes, and as I’ve told someone else, I really do like corn pops."
Nikki Nonsense, yeah? I like the.. what's it called? Alliteration? I think.
Sounds simple enough. I like putting on underwear that just came out of the dryer, finding money in my pockets I forgot about, and that feeling you get when you have just enough milk for that one bowl of cereal you were really looking forward to.
As their walk furthered throughout the asylum, she vaguely could remember the halls they were in and few of the rooms looked familiar. Danny couldn’t help but find the male quite lovely. He wasn’t like any other person she had ever come into contact with at Knollwood. He definitely showed within his personality that he was different; Danny’s favorite type of people. She canted her head to the side, feeling curiosity rise, “And what exactly makes names so overrated, in your opinion?” Danny just couldn’t help herself but to ask. It was obvious that he wasn’t making contact with her. Immediately she wasn’t sure whether to take an offense to his lack of eye contact, or what would be the right approach. It had definitely made her feel slightly better when she noticed his vision then laid on her in order for her to answer. “Danny.” She nodded quick.
"It's just weird. Like, your mom's holdin' you there in the hospital, yeah? And a doctor writes down what you go by for the rest of your life. I just think it's weird how they pick a name and that is how that pink lump will go by forever," he took a short pause to laugh, his logic was ridiculous and even he knew it. "Plus I've met like a trillion people named Kody and I feel like I've been cheated out of some kind of unique trait and it wasn't even my decision!"
"Danny, huh? Is that short for somethin'... or somethin'?"
"What’s wrong with you?"
Ooh, forward, I like that.
Seniority rules, you tell me first.
Damn. I hate when that happens. Were you in the middle of making something for me?
I think a photo of a house and sun would be very endearing.
I wasn't included, so no, unfortunately I wasn't. I only paint pictures for my friends, and you said we weren't friends.
And I'm deeply insulted.
