ancient greek word of the day: κακοθερής (kakotherēs), unfitted to endure summer heat
this literally means “bad at summer” pass it on
Reblog if you, too, are bad at summer

I think its kind of poetic that ai struggles to replicate art nouveau styles, considering art nouveau was very focused around natural beauty and human-made things at a time that the world was shifting into a tech-focused age.
ai can never master the natural fluidity of Mucha's style, and I for one find that beautiful in it's own right.
Ignoring the uneven and inconsistent elements for a moment, it has this uncanny valley look to it that comes from the shaky curves. Mucha's style was defined by curves and waves that seemed natural yet so intentional, something this art lacks. It lacks his defining style feature of thick outlines around a subject, making it blurry. Mucha had strong lines and mathematical shapes, such as the circles he often made as the background. This "art" loses the circle's border and forgets the shapes its trying to define.
Mucha did not die with love for his art and his culture for a shabby soulless imitation to act like it can withstand even a fragment of the effort and life that he put into his work. Mucha did not spend countless days making masterpieces that depict his people's history and culture out of fear it may be erased or forgotten under fascist rule for an artificial soul-lacking piece of junk to "create" slop under the orders of a rat-faced billionaire-shoe-licking ai meatrider. Alphonse Mucha should be one of the most famous artists for what he did and yet his life's meaning is here diminished to a program designed to frankenstein a monster like no other: an emotionless hatred of life.
Anyways live laugh love mucha
