im sad that the voltron writer’s didn’t include what would be some Iconic klance moments, like keith untying lance from the tree and lance’s reaction to galra keith etc etc, but what if we’re still going to get these moments?

what if there’s a moment where lance or keith gets hurt or lost or something that makes the other worry about them. and it’s such a standard thing for them, at this point spending days out on missions or getting badly beaten up is common, yet they’re so startled at the sudden realisation that the other could be in so much pain/could be dying or smth and they remember everything.

the episode is filled up with flashbacks to all of these moments; keith and lance at the garrison and the forming of their “rivalry” with bonus, oblivious pining + admiring looks from lance (and maybe some back from keith), the bonding moment (because it was just left with them staring into each other’s eyes, like something else must have happened between then and the healing pod), keith untying lance from the tree w/ the scene filled with so many oblivous flirts jokes and fond smiles, lance lingering behind after keith explains his galra connection waiting to tell him “you’re still our keith” in one of the softest voices keith has received from him, lance and keith on missions together and admiring just how strong and brave they are with their attention divided, or back to the part where they’re running through the castle afraid of every noise or shadow because they’re scared about what just happened in the airlock, yet feeling so happy that they have him running beside them. they kept concluding that they’ll never be more than two people picked at random to fight together in space, that all these moments meant nothing.

then they realise they dont see the other as a “rival” or just a team mate. they dont even see them as a close friend. they see them as someone who they couldnt live without. someone they’re in love with in every way, someone they’re going to fight to be with no matter what
