ship analysis on byler

So I finished Volume 2 and I wanna talk about byler. Please let's not start a ship war over fictional characters, it's just my opinion and I'm ready to hear different opinions and theories! Just keep it nice.

I don't think Byler will be canon; It's the 80's after all. All that prejudice and homophobia, we saw since the first season. Mike probably doesn't feel the same way, and that's OK. It happened to so many gay people realizing being in love with their best friend. Sometimes it end in a good way but sometimes life is just...unfare. (Can't say that it would have been a nice twist on Mike's character, like the internal homophobia, since we've theorized several times.)

BUT-

The series focuses on Will's FEARS. Of being abandoned because of his sexuality, which makes him DIFFERENT despite sharing so much with his friends! Yet to his surprise, he's still LOVED and ACCEPTED by everyone! That's the point! And I think it's adorable and a good representation of a queer character struggling with his identity. I would love to see byler happens, to be canon. You know, never say never! We still got one episode left.

I'm really hoping for a dialogue or a good confession from Will to Mike, like face to face, instead of "he's my Tammy", which is total bullshit to me. They know each other for too long to be "just a crush".

 Mike's pov would be highly appreciated, (insted of analyze every micro facial expression of him to then just being delusional or disappointed if things doesn't go as everyone hoped or even being hateful.) 

I think Mike is a complicated character. His role as leader doesn't allow him to be vulnerable or open because he carries such a huge responsibility towards his friends. He got a lot on his shoulder + the fact that you can't make yourself look weak in front of the ones who put their own life in danger, only leads him to vent his frustration,( as it happened before) almost seeming cold or selfish, especially towards El. Not being able to say I love you until your best friend tells you to is kinda…tells you a lot? If you care for somebody so much (as he said) it should be something easy to say, right? Unless you got some internal conflict or whatever...

Still I'll be waiting on the finale to make up my mind, not only about byler or the characters but the whole show since it's pretty confusing after volume 2.

Idk. The concept of Viktor having to drag Jinx out cuz she was blasting music and he couldn’t focus on the glorious evolution was funny to me.

I’ll probably never finish it cuz I’m bad with poses so…enjoy until I’ll find a way to do it? I guess? 🤷‍♀️
