A simple procedural hex map effect!💫
Here is my prototype for how I change/load different scenes in my game 🔄
I'm hoping to get decent mileage out of this sinking table effect, and hopefully I'm able to make the transition a bit smoother and more enjoyable to a player 😬
just a little behind schedule, nbd 🤡
if only it were the other way around 🤡
This scene change took way longer to add than I thought it would, but I finally got the proof of concept done! 🕯
Still trying to catch pokemon in 2024! It was actually my fiancée's first time playing Pokémon FireRed this weekend. She chose Squirtle and I frankly am still trying to process her decision.
Ash, you missed TWICE 😡 they were RIGHT THERE 😡🤦♀️ MISTY, I WILL HEAD STRAIGHT BACK TO PALLET TOWN
so i have this new idea 🤡
I made my cube interact with its surroundings ✨ WATCH ME BEAT IT UP >:o
by far the coolest bug I've ever made LOL 🪲 🐛 🪲 I was trying to change my fullscreen effect to use a dark colored border (from where it previously used a thin black outline) but I accidentally removed the previous frame and was left with this. I’m pretty sure this is the coolest bug I’ve ever encountered lol BUT it is competing with my previous favorite bug where I made (accidentally) a chess engine that would submit cheating moves as valid moves LOL Anyway, I think this effect is ultimately something I’ll redact as I don’t see it being applicable to my current project. Although, I am curious what you would use it for? 🤔
my average day of development 🤡
I wanted to try again to create a similar doodle effect like before… here I tried to make a simple watercolor-doodle visual… I think this is worse than before but I'm not sure 🤔
outlines or no outlines? 🤔 started working on a pixelized-doodle effect, but I can't decide... what do you think is better?
I can now pixelize any game! HEH 😈 . . . I created a pixelization effect using a fullscreen effect shader, I don't think I'll use the result most likely, but it was fun to explore 😬
really having fun playing around with this fullscreen effect 🤯
worked on a temporary world map scene; I thought it does a decent job in capturing a pensive mood, but what do you think? 🤔
Testing out various map size scales!
