Kol Svansson as a redneck
Stabat Mater | Ariella & Kol
Ariella’s palace had been largely erected in the 18th century, additions piled on as needed. To Ariella’s way of thinking, it was a gaudy blight, a disgrace planted by a King better forgotten, but she’d made it hers, just as she’d taken his kingdom for her own, curling around it and choking the life from it like an anaconda. Long ago, she’d learned how to be cruel.
But that time had passed. Her new era had come with a din, a sudden cry of mingled ecstasy and horror across the South and she knew well enough how to build off expectations. Yet, none of this had been entirely her doing - on some level Ariella knew where her gratitude lay, even if she’d long ago forgotten how to express it.
Kol Svansson was one of the very few outside her own blood who could command her respect and loyalty, though she had done his pride insult on occasion: a dangerous prospect. No one knew better than a usurper just how precarious was her crown.
"How you any news for me?" inquired Ariella, as he strode into the room. The Queen’s gaze drifted along the tree tops outside her window, watching yet another season shift in life’s unending march. It’s constancy bored her; it’s changeability attracted her. Turning towards her Sheriff, she fixed blue eyes on him. She knew she was sitting on a ticking time bomb, but she had reason to believe her talks with Everett had helped stave off a potential war - for now, at least. Still, Ariella was old enough to always be wary. "I trust all is quiet?"
Despite recent problems between the two, Kol still was exceptionally loyal to his queen. So when he received word that she required his presence, he went. Dressed in his trademark of all black attire, Kol was a striking example of what his kind was expected to look like. His height made him imposing, his mannerisms were deliberate and graceful, his beauty unmistakable. If ever a poster boy were wanted for Vampires, Kol Svansson would be the prime choice for a male.
The prime choice for a female would - in his opinion - be his Progeny, Vera. But the beautiful blonde queen before him was definitely a close second. "I have a feeling there's nothing I know that you don't already know, my Queen," he said as he strode towards her and dropped down on one knee before her. Despite how easily he adapted to modern social cues, he still found those of older times to be more proper in their hierarchical system.
He looked up to her from his place on his knee and said, "I am sure you are aware of the wolf being killed by a vampire. I am truly sorry that I did not save them." It was true to a point. He didn't like knowing that he'd failed in a task given to him. But, he was also not omniscient. And the vampire who'd killed the wolf was new to the area; how could he possibly have known her intent to kill a wolf. "I will accept whatever punishment you deem necessary."

Vera watched in almost astonishment as he moved towards the human and began to drink from her. Being the sheriff and the sheriff’s progeny, meant that she and Kol had followed the law to the letter. They were in Ariella’s kingdom and Kol had made it very clear that they would be the perfect example of what ‘mainstream’ vampires were supposed to be.
But that had been hard for Vera. So hard. As much as she wanted to please Kol, mainstreaming was simply…. not in her nature. What she had loved most about being a vampire in her early years was the sheer power, the thrill of being able to do whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted. Mainstreaming didn’t allow for that. She had to hold herself back, restrain herself. It was draining. But now, finally, Kol was offering her the chance to let go. They had complete control of these humans. They were theirs to do whatever they pleased. And Vera planned to relish that.
When he looked up at her, blood dripping gloriously from his lips, Vera walked towards him. Reaching up on her tip toes and kissing him, Vera let out a sigh. The human’s blood tasted so good. Slowly, she licked every drop of blood from his lips and then down his chin. When she’d finished, her eyes closed as she enjoyed the taste. She was so filled with arousal and blood lust, she couldn’t tell which she felt more.

She grinned up at him, reaching up and placing a kiss to his cheek as he lead her into the house. She didn’t know how they worked so well, but they did, and she was eternally grateful that they did.
When they entered the dining room, Vera stilled. She looked at the two humans and then back up at Kol and then back at the humans. “You mean, we get to keep them?” she asked quietly, her eyes still fixed on the humans.
Kol watched Vera closely. How he loved his progeny. Whatever god had brought them together was the best god that existed. "If you so desire," he told her, leaning in and placing his lips to her neck. "We can keep them, kill them... It's up to you, darling. They're glamoured to do our every command. They have no will or consciousness of their own."
He walked over to the humans, "Feel free to give it back to them if you so desire them to scream or fight back. I know it's enjoyable from time to time." He reached down and grabbed the female's wrist, lifting it up to his lips. His fangs extended and he sunk them into her skin. He drained her from that vantage point for a few moments before looking to Vera as the blood dripped down the woman's arm and his lips. "Don't you want some, darling?"

When they had finished, Vera stepped away to let Kol wrap up with the photographer. She took a few steps away from the bright lights of the photoshoot and looked up to the sky. Letting out a soft, contented sigh, she gazed at the stars above her, revelling in just how lucky she was. She got to spend the rest of forever with a man who, even after nearly a millennia together, still found pleasure in surprising her and making her happy. It was definitely something she never could have imagined when she had practically forced Kol to change her that night.
She continued stargazing until she sensed him approaching her. Slowly, she turned to face him, a smile still on her lips. “Αχ , αγάπη μου,” she breathed, “I feel so awful, I don’t have any surprises for you.” she sighed, a small frown coming to her lips as she considered this.
Kol chuckled warmly, "Child, you surprise me every day." He wrapped his arm around her waist and held her close as they headed back into the house. "How we could have been together for so long and you still manage to surprise me is a mystery. One I'm thankful for. Very thankful." He led her into what was the dining room of the home.
It was a room that, due to their being dead, was hardly ever used. But tonight, the long dining table was exquisitely dressed. And atop the fine settings, laid two humans in plain clothing. "I got dinner for us," he said. One male, one female. "They're ours to do with as we wish. I went through quite a lot of trouble making sure that every person who knew them was glamoured." He pressed his lips to Vera's temple, "So, dig in. Kill them, glamour them to be your playthings, whatever you wish. As long as knowledge of them does not leave this house."
Your Guardian Vampire || Josie & Kol (closed)
Josie watched him intently, her brown eyes never leaving his face. She half expected to change her mind and go back on her decision to invite him in. Even as he towered over her with her back pressed against the door, Josie couldn’t find a reason to do so. She trusted him. She trusted him despite the fact that she didn’t really know him, yet the blonde felt completely at ease and safe with him. Human, vampire or werewolf, Josie Lorent did not trust others this easily.
She had been ready to make some sort of joke about his comment because that’s just what Josie did. Whenever matters turned even remotely serious she had to find a way to defuse the tension somehow. She wasn’t sure what it was about Kol that had her reacting like this. Whatever this was. She felt the slightest of shivers making making its way up her arms as he ran his finger along her jaw line now. She almost believed him. She wanted too.
Instead her eyes fell shut at the tender kiss Kol placed on her lips. It was the complete opposite of what they’d been doing minutes ago but it was still enough to drive Josie insane. She had kissed countless men but none compared to this. She blamed it solely on the fact that Kol had saved her life; why else would she feel such a connection to the man after knowing him for less than a couple of hours?
Her hands rested on his chest momentarily before letting them slide further up, fingers lightly gripping the lapels of his jacket. Kol promised he’d be on his best behavior and so would she…just after this kiss. And his jacket. He had said it himself, Josie could resend his invitation and he’d be out of her house for good. Instead she opted for giving his jacket a light tug, before rising up on the tips of her toes to slide the jacket off of his shoulders.
Kol was surprised when she pressed the jacket off his shoulders. But his shoulders slid back, allowing the rich, luxurious leather fall off of him. He released her so the jacket could drop to the ground. His now bare arms wrapped around her body, clinging her close to him like his immortality depended on it. Now he could feel the heat of her even more clearly and it was amazing. It'd been a long time since he'd been with a non-vampire. Not that he was sure how far this was going to go, but he was certainly going to press until she told him no more.
Letting out a light, needy growl, he leaned down and grabbed her up, raising her off the floor with ease and wrapped her legs around his lithe torso. He turned, and without really knowing where he was going, guessed at the direction of her living room. He guessed right and was soon dropping her down onto her couch. He stood over her for a moment and then within the blink of an eye, he was holding himself above her.
He placed his hands to her hips, and then they slowly moved upward. His fingers dipped under the fabric of her shirt, pushing it up as his hands continued. As the skin of her midriff began to be expose, he leaned down and placed a kiss to her skin. His lips trailed up her abdomen, then between her breasts and finally he came up and pressed one single kiss to her lips before breaking away and pulling her shirt off of her.
His cold hands moved over her torso and his lips met hers again with more fervor than even their first kiss. He needed, wanted, desired her.
My Only Queen || Vera & Kol (closed)
Vera followed him easily through the mansion. Sure, he was only leading her through their house, a feat easy enough, but Vera realized she would follow this man wherever he lead her. There was nowhere she wouldn’t go, nothing she wouldn’t do, for him.
When the doors opened and revealed his surprise, Vera’s face lit up in a ecstatic smile. Her eyes turned upwards toward him. “Oh, you definitely know how to plan a night.” she smirked. She reached up on her tip toes and placed a kiss on his cool cheek, “Anything you want, Kol.” she replied, smirking. “Your wish is my command.” she added, giving him a sultry wink before walking towards the chair and taking a seat.
As soon as Vera exited the house, the photographer and his assistants snapped to attention. This was part of the appeal of a photoshoot. One that Kol certainly had planned for. Having everyone’s eyes on her… and Kol appealed to Vera’s vanity in a way that she couldn’t help but adore.
Kol smiled to see her reaction. "I'm so glad to see I can still surprise and excite you," he said, walking over to the set up with her. He let her take her seat and let her get positioned before he stepped up behind the chair. He adjusted his suit jacket one final time before taking the photographer's direction and gazing into the camera lens.
They posed like that for a while before eventually they switched places. Kol took to the chair with ease (after all, he sat in a throne practically every night). And after about an hour of other poses with and without the chair, they were finished. Kol spoke with the photographer for a long moment before returning to Vera, "We should have another portrait to add to our collection soon."
He smiled warmly, wrapping an arm around her waist and grinned, "Ready for the last surprise for the evening?" As he waited for her answer, he began to lead her back into the mansion.

Apologize || Kol and Ariella (Closed)
Ariella nodded. “That is fair. I’m uncertain what I’ll be feeling. I know I have a moral compass- I, for one, cannot abide senseless killing or torture. Any life I’ve taken, I’ve done swiftly. So guilt may be something i will feel,” Ariella said, not looking forward to that one. “I’m willing to take recommendations for someone who might help me cope with that… otherwise, I think I could use your instruction on how to feel without letting it overwhelm you. How to… enjoy things, as you say. Because I do not enjoy anything right now. I’m not certain where to start,” Ariella admitted.
"Which is why I have never turned my emotions off. It doesn't just take the bad ones, it takes the good ones as well. And what is the point of living forever if you can't enjoy yourself?" he said, that flagrant grin on his lips. He leaned back in his chair and thought for a moment before letting out a breath, "I don't know of any vampires that have gone through what you will. All I can recommend is perhaps a vampire that is genuinely a good person; perhaps they might be able to help."
Not Even Tired | Kol & Noelle [closed]
"But why play to their perceptions?" She asked, genuine confusion in her tone. "I understand accepting what and who you are, but why then square yourself away into the box people prescribe to you?" Noelle gave Kol a sad smile, before hesitantly reaching out and placing her warm hand over Kol’s ice cold one and locking eyes with him. "What if you’re more than that and you’ve just never given yourself the chance? You might be surprised by what you discover. Seriously."
She sat staring at Kol for a moment or two, not sure exactly what had compelled her to question him like that. Or even more so, to reach out and touch him. Perhaps because even with his joking, Kol felt far away in a sense. Noelle wanted weight to her words, and how could she do that without anchoring him who looked so otherworldly?
After a bit the girl cleared her throat to break the spell, patting Kol’s hand gently before pulling her hands back towards her lap. “But who am I to judge? I’ve never been much of one to accept what I am, so I suppose I can’t really say much to your situation either.” Ella shook her head slightly, scrunching up her nose and taking a long swig of her whiskey as she continued to mumble. “I’m… I’m sorry for being rude. That was… That was rude of me to say.”
Kol raised a brow as she placed a hand atop his. He was even more surprised to see this woman who'd seemed to be wholeheartedly consumed in jokes and laughter suddenly become so serious. His head tilted as he listened to her words, but it was the last sentence that brought another laugh to his lips. "You were anything but rude," he told her, leaning back in his chair, a ghost of a smile on his lips. "If you were rude, you wouldn't be sitting there anymore."
He turned his eyes out to the crowd as he spoke next, "As a human, I was a Viking; a warrior even among my own kind. Revered for the men I'd slain and the lives I'd save by doing so. In my time, it was proper for men to battle when they thought they'd been wronged. That is the simpler way of living. This modern system of laws and courts and the false sense of justice is strange to me."
His eyes turned back to her now, "I don't dress and act the way I do because I feel obligated to. Though it is certainly expected of me, it's also just simply who I am. I have always been like I am now. There are tales of those who turn Vampire and become the opposite of who they once were, but this isn't true for me. I have always been a killer. I have always been dark; I have always been revered for being and knowing exactly who I am and where I stand. There are sides of me that are lighter than others, but... I am not as you are. I am dark, I am night, I am the moon. You are the opposite. You are light, day, the sun. As I have not seen the sun in over twelve hundred years, it feels... Nice to be able to be around someone who so reminds me of it."
Your Guardian Vampire || Josie & Kol (closed)
The sound of Kols soft laughter managed to somewhat bring Josie out of her daze. The corners of her mouth curved upward slightly revealing the faintest of smiles for a moment. She hadn’t known the Kol for too long but she had a feeling it wasn’t everyday that the vampire found himself in this sort if mood. It was clear that there was much more to Kol Svansson than he might let on; one minute he was ripping out another vampries heart, the next he was gentle and warm. Oddly enough, this didn’t change the way she looked at him. If anything, Josie felt like she had known the man for years.
Josie felt her breath catch in her throat when he leaned down to kiss her again, only it never came. She wasn’t sure if she was disappointment or relieved, but the second she felt Kols lips brush against hers as he spoke…well, her mind was made up. Josie could safely say that the man was clouding her judgement now. She wanted to kiss him again.
She could almost hear the countless voices of her loved ones telling her what a bad idea this was. Getting involved with a vampire was one thing but giving them permission to enter her house? Probably not the best idea. If Josie had a moment to look at the bigger picture than maybe she would have thought it through more. Unfortunately, old habits die hard. There was something about Kol that had her mesmerized when she should’ve been afraid.
Her brown eyes scanned his face as if trying to figure out what he was thinking. Before she could give it another thought she spoke up, her voice soft but firm. “Would you like to come in, Mr. Svansson?”
Kol felt relief wash over him as she uttered the invitation. His fingers trailed down from her hair and brushed over the back of her neck, "I would love to, Miss Lorent." He then grabbed her up off the ground and rushed them into her house. Once the door was shut behind them, he knew he could relax a little. "Now, Miss Lorent..." he said as he gently pressed her back into the door he'd just closed, "I promised I'd be on my best behavior, and I intend to be, so you just tell me if I'm crossing any lines. I promise I will stop as soon as you say so."
He'd try... but gazing at her in this dark lighting, and being so close to her. It was intoxicating. His fingers brushed down her jawline as his blue eyes took in her face. "I hope, that in you lifetime, you have been told a million times over how beautiful you are," he said softly, "I have lived twelve hundred years, and you are still one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen."
Kol leaned in then and pressed his lips to hers. This time, the kiss wasn't urgent, but soft and passionate. His hands trailed down and wrapped around her body, holding her small frame to his tall one.
