Marching On | Brett, Henley & Josie
After making a couple quick pit stops Josie was relieved to finally be pulling into Henley's driveway. It had been way too long since the girls had manage to get together and spend a night in like this. Considering she had grown up with Henley and Brett, the fact that Josie had gone this long without seeing her cousins should have been considered a crime at this point. The holidays were usually a pretty busy time for them but the trio were normally still able to get together, especially during Christmas. This year, however, things had gone a little differently for them all.
Josie had spent her holidays away from her family and Oxford altogether; instead, she had been enjoying the sereneness up north in a cozy cabin with none other than Kol Svansson. In her defense her relationship (whatever they were) with Kol was just as sudden as his invitation to spend the holidays with him. He was a very persuasive man, but even then it's not like Josie had put up much of a fight. After a few calls over the holidays, the blonde had promised to properly catch up with the two as soon as she got back to town.
"Holy shit, I had almost forgotten what you looked like," she teased, grin on her face as Henley opened the door before Josie had even made her way up the steps. Josie had a bag of drinks in one hand while carefully juggling two boxes of pizza in the other. "I brought wine and whiskey for us and some healthy organic thing for Brett," she added, a sympathetic smile on her lips since the youngest of the three wouldn't be able to drink with them tonight.
Kolsie + Kisses
Your Guardian Vampire || Josie & Kol (closed)
The sound of Kols soft laughter managed to somewhat bring Josie out of her daze. The corners of her mouth curved upward slightly revealing the faintest of smiles for a moment. She hadn’t known the Kol for too long but she had a feeling it wasn’t everyday that the vampire found himself in this sort if mood. It was clear that there was much more to Kol Svansson than he might let on; one minute he was ripping out another vampries heart, the next he was gentle and warm. Oddly enough, this didn’t change the way she looked at him. If anything, Josie felt like she had known the man for years.
Josie felt her breath catch in her throat when he leaned down to kiss her again, only it never came. She wasn’t sure if she was disappointment or relieved, but the second she felt Kols lips brush against hers as he spoke…well, her mind was made up. Josie could safely say that the man was clouding her judgement now. She wanted to kiss him again.
She could almost hear the countless voices of her loved ones telling her what a bad idea this was. Getting involved with a vampire was one thing but giving them permission to enter her house? Probably not the best idea. If Josie had a moment to look at the bigger picture than maybe she would have thought it through more. Unfortunately, old habits die hard. There was something about Kol that had her mesmerized when she should’ve been afraid.
Her brown eyes scanned his face as if trying to figure out what he was thinking. Before she could give it another thought she spoke up, her voice soft but firm. “Would you like to come in, Mr. Svansson?”
Kol felt relief wash over him as she uttered the invitation. His fingers trailed down from her hair and brushed over the back of her neck, “I would love to, Miss Lorent.” He then grabbed her up off the ground and rushed them into her house. Once the door was shut behind them, he knew he could relax a little. “Now, Miss Lorent…” he said as he gently pressed her back into the door he’d just closed, “I promised I’d be on my best behavior, and I intend to be, so you just tell me if I’m crossing any lines. I promise I will stop as soon as you say so.”
He’d try… but gazing at her in this dark lighting, and being so close to her. It was intoxicating. His fingers brushed down her jawline as his blue eyes took in her face. “I hope, that in you lifetime, you have been told a million times over how beautiful you are,” he said softly, “I have lived twelve hundred years, and you are still one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen.”
Kol leaned in then and pressed his lips to hers. This time, the kiss wasn’t urgent, but soft and passionate. His hands trailed down and wrapped around her body, holding her small frame to his tall one.
The smallest of smiles formed on Josies lips as she felt herself being lifted off the ground, her legs wrapping around his waist automatically. Before she could even suggest the bedroom, she suddenly felt her back hit the gentle fabric of her couch. In all honesty, she probably wouldn't have put up much of a fight if they had continued right up against her door. All thoughts of telling Kol off minutes ago were clearly out the window now. Although Josies former days were long behind her there was something about Kol Svansson that managed to have an effect on her. An effect she wasn't used too.
Her breath hitched slightly when she felt his hands on her bare sides. His hands were cool against her skin now, every area he touched making her skin suddenly feel hot. Already she could feel the way her heart began to quicken against her chest, especially when she felt his lips trailing up along her abdomen and between her breasts. Lifting herself off the couch slightly, Josie managed to finish pulling her shirt off, leaving her in simply her black bra and jeans before tossing it aside. She found Kols lips before she even had a chance to full lay back down on the couch.
She kissed him back with just as much intensity, her arms resting on his chest momentarilly before sliding up his neck. Josie was quickly starting to lose her head. Taking things slow no longer seemed like an option at this point. She needed him. She desired him. Not breaking the kiss, Josie let her hands travel down Kols torso and wasted no time in helping the vampire remove his shirt. As soon as he tossed it aside her lips were on his face, her hands roaming every inch of his well toned torso.

Josie watched him intently, her brown eyes never leaving his face. She half expected to change her mind and go back on her decision to invite him in. Even as he towered over her with her back pressed against the door, Josie couldn't find a reason to do so. She trusted him. She trusted him despite the fact that she didn't really know him, yet the blonde felt completely at ease and safe with him. Human, vampire or werewolf, Josie Lorent did not trust others this easily.
She had been ready to make some sort of joke about his comment because that's just what Josie did. Whenever matters turned even remotely serious she had to find a way to defuse the tension somehow. She wasn't sure what it was about Kol that had her reacting like this. Whatever this was. She felt the slightest of shivers making making its way up her arms as he ran his finger along her jaw line now. She almost believed him. She wanted too.
Instead her eyes fell shut at the tender kiss Kol placed on her lips. It was the complete opposite of what they'd been doing minutes ago but it was still enough to drive Josie insane. She had kissed countless men but none compared to this. She blamed it solely on the fact that Kol had saved her life; why else would she feel such a connection to the man after knowing him for less than a couple of hours?
Her hands rested on his chest momentarily before letting them slide further up, fingers lightly gripping the lapels of his jacket. Kol promised he'd be on his best behavior and so would she...just after this kiss. And his jacket. He had said it himself, Josie could resend his invitation and he'd be out of her house for good. Instead she opted for giving his jacket a light tug, before rising up on the tips of her toes to slide the jacket off of his shoulders.

The second her lips pressed against his, all thoughts or signs of hesitation were long gone. It was meant to be a brief kiss and nothing more. Josie would’ve convinced herself that it was a mere action of gratitude. Not just for what had happened moments ago in her driveway, but for everything Kol Svansson had done for her. It was logical…and easier to admit than realizing she was already mesmerized by the vampire.
She wasn’t exactly sure when her eyes had fallen shut but Josie couldn’t pull away. It felt like her skin was on fire when he did something as simple as run his hands up her arms. She felt his fingers tangling in her hair which made it easier for Josie to rest her hands on Kols chest before sliding them up and around his neck. It may have started off as an innocent kiss on her behalf but it had quickly turned into something much more. There was nothing innocent about the way Josie found herself kissing the vampire, almost like if her life depended on it.
Feeling his arm wrap around her waist did nothing to help the case. She felt her blood beginning to boil as she the length of Kols body pressed firmly against hers now. Eventually she was forced to break the kiss, mentally cursing as she did so in order to catch her breath. She could bring herself to actually pull herself out of his grip or even push him away…or maybe she just didn’t want too.
Josie opened her eyes and looked up at him, a slightly dazed look in her eyes now. Did kissing vampires naturally come with this sort of after effect, or was it just Kol? She would’ve asked, but this seemed to be one of the few times the blonde was left speechless; Kol, if anyone, should know that that didn’t happen often. If ever.
Kol probably couldn’t have let her go, even if she’d pushed away. It was like his body was permanently stuck in this position. Was he being selfish? If so, he didn’t much care. He just wanted to kiss her for the rest of the evening, feel her warmth against his cold skin. She was so warm. His ice blue eyes didn’t seem as cold as they usually did, in fact, they were quite warm as they gazed down at her. A smile very slowly pulled at the corner of his lips and he finally let out a light laugh.
"You surprise me, Josie," he said softly, twisting her golden hair around his long fingers. His gaze took in her whole face before he leaned down as if to kiss her again, but hesitated with his lips just barely touching hers. “If you’re going to allow me to kiss you again, I suggest we go inside,” he said, his eyes focused on her lips. He was strong, and he was fast… But he knew that getting lost in her like this would distract him heavily.
He smiled a bit, his nose brushing past hers, “You can always rescind your invitation to the house once you tire of me.” His fingers released her hair and now came to trail down her jawline, “I promise to be on my best behavior.” He was fairly certain she knew he wouldn’t hurt her. He’d had plenty of opportunity; and why would he put in all this effort to protect her if he was just going to turn around and hurt her himself?

Anything Could Happen || Jaden & Josie
Josie was on a mission tonight as she walked through the doors of Oxford Barr. After a painfully long day at work which consisted of way too many distractions (one in particular that was really getting on the blondes nerves and his name was Kol Svansson), she decided that she needed to just sit back and unwined. And what better way to do that than drinking until the sun came up?
Normally Hax was her go to guy when it came to this sort of thing; Unfortunately, the man was off doing some unwinding of his own which most likely consisted of committing petty thefts in the next town over. Either way, it hadn't been enough do damper Josie's plans, especially considering her visit to the famous bar and grill would allow her to see a certain werewolf.
"Well if it isn't my favorite bartender," she said, a smile forming on Josie's face as she took a seat on one of the remaining empty stools at the bar. Jaden was hands down her favorite bartender and it wasn't just because he gave her free drinks whenever she stopped by. Thanks to befriending Harley at a young age, Jaden had unintentionally become a part of Josie's life as well. However, it wasn't until the pair had been set up on a date (courtesy of Harley, of course) that they actually became pretty close. "Busy night?"
