Safe In Their Arms
Commissioned by @punkshiro | Writing Commission OPEN
Pairing: Koliro (Shiro/Kolivan), Antok/Kolivan/Shiro/Thace/Ulaz Rating: T Verse: (N/A)
Warning: angst, mentions of offscreen death
Summary:
Shiro was tired.
It was the kind of exhaustion that seeped into his bones and weighing him down until all he wanted was to lie down and close his eyes forever. He was tired of being scared, tired of fighting, of seeing people die and watching those he loved die

Let Kolivan relax, in hot tub thing with Shiro? Leaders relax.
Kolivan and Shiro, chilling in a hot tub no feet apart bc they’re pretty gay!
Sorry I didn’t finish this for Kolivan Friday, but it works for Galra Ship Saturday too. Thanks for the prompt!
Rating: G
Word Count: 538
Kolivan wasn’t used to bathing in water- Galra typically took dust baths and vacuumed their fur afterwards. When they ran out of clean dust on the base, the Blades would resort to baby wipes to keep themselves smelling fresh. Shiro introduced Kolivan to the hot tubs in the Castle, and now they were addicted.

Also accepting prompts for Kolivan Friday and Galra Ship Saturday here ✌
Wire-Flower
Commissioned by @punkshiro | Writing Commission CLOSED
Pairing: Koliro (Kolivan/Shiro) Rating: G Verse: kinda an AU to MOSSverse
Warning: (N/A)
this is kinda out of hand whoops
Summary:
When Shiro woke up, he found a wire-flower lying outside his door.
It was a flower made out of iridescent wire— that as much was obvious. It had seven petals, a long stem, and a curving leaf. He nearly stepped on it when he was going out of his room to start the day.

Koliro + first time trying pumpkin spice latte? :3c
What an adorable prompt, thank you!! Putting most of this under a cut because holy wow it’s longer than I expected.
The trip to Earth was not supposed to be a vacation. Although the war had been over for a year now, but the Paladins and the Blades were still extremely busy working to undo an empire that had absolute power for thousands of years. Between the early diplomatic meeting and the press conference coming up that afternoon, Shiro and Kolivan somehow had a few hours to themselves.
Shiro wanted Kolivan to experience human culture, so he took his alien partner to Starbucks. The cafe was crammed with people in line for their morning coffee, and all eyes were on the eight foot tall alien. People recognized Shiro too, “dying” in space and coming back as a defender of the universe made him quite the public figure.

Late Night Escapade
Commissioned by @itbespacegays | Writing Commission CLOSED
Pairing: Koliro (Kolivan/Shiro) Rating: R-18 Verse: (N/A)
Warning: contains PIV sex & trans shiro
Summary:
The Humans were diurnal by nature, a fact that Kolivan still found quite odd, though some of the Paladins did stay up way past their bedtime. Usually, it was Coran, puttering away to keep the Castle stay in shape and fully functional. Sometimes, it was Pidge, tinkering down in the Green Lion’s hangar.
Tonight, it was Shiro, who pulled Kolivan along for a late night escapade.

a couple koliro mood:
snuggling on the observatory deck as they watch the solar flare outside the blade of marmora headquarters. shiro falling asleep in the middle of their chat, his head on kolivan's shoulder.
shiro showing off and swooping in the black lion to save kolivan. it's the black paladin thing, okay.
kolivan showing shiro the wonders of space, reminding him about the true reason why he wanted to join the galaxy garrison and become an astronaut in the first place.
shiro playing with kolivan's hair, smoothing out the knots and kinks there. one time, the end of kolivan's braid got cut. shiro keeps the cut lock as a keepsake and a charm because he's a hopeless romantic.
Kolivan shows Shiro what the galra's traditional food is like. Bonus points if they cook for Shiro :3c
this is kinda different from what you wanted aaaaahhhhh but this prompt is super interesting and has potential for me to get too worldbuilding so i'm saving it for later!!
--
for kolivan, cooking had always been a luxury. raw materials were rare in the headquarters, where there was no space to cultivate the land or rear livestock. any food they had, had always been a variation between fully synthesized food or cooking synthesized materials, though the former had always been more of a practical choice.
kolivan admitted that they had been out of practice because of this. cooking had never been a necessary skill to learn when the synthesizer was readily available. but when shiro took them out for a hiking, kolivan began to regret it.
“what’s wrong?” shiro asked. he seemed to understand their struggle, thank the stars.
“i can’t cook”, kolivan replied. pride was currently the last thing in their mind.
shiro blinked. a human sign of confusion, kolivan learned. “wait, really?”
kolivan’s ears flattened back.
“huh, okay.” shiro didn’t look unnerved with this and took it with stride, helping kolivan scale the fish-creature they both caught and gutted it.
the act of slicing things precisely was familiar, at least.
when the last of the fish had been cleaned up and put above the fire, shiro leaned to kolivan’s side and chuckled. “i guess you won’t need to learn how to cook when you have food synthesizer, huh?”
“it’s not practical”, kolivan shrugged. “although i can understand the appeal.”
shiro laughed, loud and clear.
thank you all who sent prompts aaaahhhh i'm gonna write quick drabbles for them after i'm done writing something for sinday ;v;
Kolivan and Shiro arm wrestling. Or just... wrestling. They don't have to hold back around each other and it's really freeing.
there was something refreshing about sparring with kolivan.
maybe because shiro didn’t have to hold back or anything when they sparred together. with the other paladins, he had to be careful. sure, he knew by now that hunk had a mean right hook when he was properly motivated and pidge would never hesitate to play dirty to win. but on one-on-one combat, no one in the team could match him in terms of both strength and skills.
fighting kolivan was refreshing and challenging at the same time. they were different than any opponents he faced before. they didn’t put all their strength into their punch the way zarkon did— they didn’t need to, anyway. they were extremely fast and agile, and could absolutely send shiro flying in one spinning kick.
shiro made a mistake by underestimating them once. he wasn’t about to do it again.
it took a combination of sheer luck and dirty trick that he managed to pin them down to the training deck floor. face to face, shiro felt triumph bubbled in his chest.
“yield?”
kolivan angled their face and gave a quick peck to shiro’s lips.
shiro spluttered.
and that was all kolivan needed to flip their position over, locking his elbows behind his back, their arm wrapped around his neck, and their chest against his back.
“cheat”, shiro pouted.
kolivan laughed, warm and carefree, their breath tickling his ear and made him blush.
“not as much as you”, they retorted, before diving in for another kiss.
fair enough, shiro admitted begrudgingly.
i've been feeling off all day so go send me some fluffy prompts, headcanons, anything you want!
Just Wanna Dance All Night
Commission for @xblackpaladin for some koliro dancing in the stars !! This was super fun to write and Arka thank you for supporting me and for letting me write this for you.
Excerpt:
What he didn’t expect was to be pulled into a dancing position, his hand on their shoulder and their hand on his waist, which was really his whole back because of how large Kolivan’s hand was, especially in comparison to Shiro’s waist. They could just barely hear the sounds of the band in the ballroom, but that wasn’t what mattered. For them, all that mattered was each other and this moment they had together.

koliro+keitok: going on vacation together on a planet but they got separated halfway. somehow antok and keith landed at the most dangerous part of the planet (a forest full of giant bugs, carnivorous plants, angry sentient rock monsters, etc). while shiro and kolivan landed at the peaceful part of the planet (also a forest but everything is so calm and peaceful and they get to laze around by the creek)
((OMG this gave me so many ideas. XD It may not be quite what you had in mind, but I hope you like it anyway.))
A Tale of Two Vacations, Part 1
(koliro, keitok, slight nsfw, and all that good stuff)
Goda is a popular vacation world with spas, hotels, hiking trails, and other attractions scattered across its surface. Since it catered to many of the Empire’s galran officers, it was left largely untouched by the war, though it did become a vital source of intelligence near the end. (Many of the hotel workers were capable and willing spies.)
With the fighting done and the most urgent diplomatic matters attended to, the Paladins of Voltron finally have a chance to take a vacation. And wouldn’t you know it, Goda is just one star system over.
Shiro and Kolivan look over the planet’s brochures and find a small resort town they like. Not too large or busy, but with some nice gardens, museums, and a hotel overlooking the colorful mineral springs that serve as the town’s main attraction.
Keith is more interested in some of the less inhabited areas. There are a couple of campsites that looks promising, and Antok’s up for it. He hasn’t spent a lot of time outdoors on planets, but Keith seems excited, and that’s good enough for him.
-
Shiro and Kolivan take a shuttle down to the planet’s surface and check into their hotel without incident. Because Shiro belongs to an uncontacted species, the staff is very attentive about making sure he has access to all the facilities he needs. Getting a room with a water shower and a dust bath is easier than Shiro expected. All of the hotel’s rooms are modular, so they can easily be converted to serve a wide variety of species.
While waiting for their room to be configured, Shiro and Kolivan take a walk near the mineral springs. There are clear walkways built up and over them that allow visitors to enjoy the shimmering colors without leaning over the railing or getting too close to the steaming pools. There are pamphlets detailing the chemical reactions that give each spring its color, and Kolivan smiles fondly watching Shiro geek out over the information.
Over dinner - a meal Kolivan picked for the both of them, since Shiro was unfamiliar with most of the options at their chosen restaurant - Shiro admits he feels a bit guilty taking off for a break when there’s still so much to be done. Of course, as Kolivan points out, Shiro’s done more than enough to merit a short vacation. Besides, even the best leaders can’t be expected to perform at 100% without rest. (Privately, Kolivan admits he doesn’t always take his own advice.)
By the time dinner is finished, their room is ready, and Kolivan resolves to keep Shiro distracted from his concerns for the rest of the evening.
It’s dark when they arrive, and Shiro notices that the staff left the room’s wall-sized picture window uncovered. He goes to close the mechanical blinds, but stops short at the site of the springs. At night, the pools turn phosphorescent, glowing in myriad colors. Even the steam rising from them is faintly luminous.
Kolivan comes up behind him and presses against his back, arms wrapping around his waist.
“I used to dream about seeing things like this,” Shiro confesses quietly, “before I left Earth.”
“Then you should look as long as you want,” Kolivan murmurs, nuzzling his neck. His hands start to wander beneath his mate’s clothes. Shiro tries to guide them away from the window, but Kolivan holds him in place.
“People will see.” It isn’t quite an objection.
“The room is dark,” Kolivan points out, “and we’re three floors up. No one will see.” He gently turns Shiro’s face back toward the glowing springs and places the human’s palms against the window for support. When Kolivan starts to remove Shiro’s clothing, there’s no objection.
“Keep looking.”

Keith and Antok land near the trailhead that will lead them to their campsite, but on their way down, Keith spots an unusual rock formation. It reminds him a bit of the hoodoo rock spires back on Earth, but on a grander scale. It’s not too far away, but all of the signs near the trailhead warn hikers not to stray out of the designated recreation area due to the dangerous wildlife living outside the maintained zone.
“It’s just a few stray animals,” Antok shrugs, the motion jostling his enormous pack. “If you want to go, lead on.”
Keith does so gladly. Maintained campsites are usually too crowded for his liking anyway. They have a topographical map of the area and a compass calibrated for the planet’s magnetic field, and Keith takes satisfaction in showing Antok how to navigate without the aid of sensors, trackers, or global positioning technology. Antok is intrigued and more than a little impressed by his mate’s skill with such primitive technology.
The terrain is savannah-like, interspersed with jutting rocks. The two set up their tent on the lee side of a boulder to block the wind and settle in for the night while Antok marvels at the quiet. He can’t remember the last time he fell asleep without the hum of a ship’s engines in the background.
Later that night, they’re awoken by a rustling in the grass. Antok snarls, but Keith’s night vision isn’t quite as good. He has to switch on his flashlight before he can see the many-eyed hyena-like creatures peering out at them from the brush. He curses and chucks a rock at the closest one’s feet, hoping to scare it off. No such luck.
He and Antok both have their blades, but they were hoping not to have to use them. Neither of them carry a ranged weapon, so close combat is starting to look like the only option. But when the first hyena alien crosses into their campsite, Antok lets out a great roaring shout that has it jumping like a startled cat.
The frightened hyena darts away while the others glance back and forth between Antok and their fleeing packmate before following suit. Antok turns to Keith to check on him and finds him dumbstruck. He’s never heard Antok make that sound before.
Before Antok can ask if he’s alright, Keith closes the distance between them. Using a fistful of fur to tug him closer, Keith firmly nuzzles and nips his jaw and throat with an aggressive kind of affection that turns the heat in Antok’s blood from protectiveness to lust in a moment.
Growling, he lifts Keith easily and pins him against the boulder. He holds his fierce little mate in place with one hand while the other strips him from the waist down, knowing the show of strength will get Keith going even more. Keith pants eagerly, squirming to test his grip, smelling almost like he’s in heat when Antok gets him properly arranged with his knees pinned up near his chest.
Antok could get used to this whole ‘camping’ thing.
pls imagine shiro wearing his galra boyf's oversized shirt (could be sendak, ulaz, kolivan, ZARKON?? who knows lol haha)
[You almost had me at “Sendak bf shirt”, but Kolivan won.]Shiro shed the paladin armor like an old skin as soon as he was back in the castle. The bodysuit went next, peeled off of himself as quickly as possible. He wormed his way into the clothes he’d left behind before they prepared to launch, but everything felt like it itched. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d slept, and his eyes were dry, his chest tight. He knew it was coming, a spiral towards burnout. He let himself into his room and barked a command for the lights to go down to their lowest setting. He sank down onto the edge of his bed and ran a hand through his hair, grimacing at how irritable he felt. His other hand braced him on the mattress, and his fingers tangled in something soft. He glanced down. Kolivan’s shirt lay strewn across his pillow and part of the covers. Shiro remembered their hasty scramble when the alarms had sounded, everything was still mussed from the morning. Kolivan was still up on the bridge with Allura and Coran. Suddenly very aware of his solitude, Shiro missed Kolivan terribly. His gaze darted from side to side as if someone might catch him, read his thoughts. When no one did, he stood up long enough to yank everything he was wearing off and throw it haphazardly around the room. It wasn’t nearly as effective as punching something, but still somehow satisfying. With a deep breath, he lifted the shirt and tugged it over his head. A laugh startled itself out of his throat when the shirt tried to fall right back down both shoulders. He grabbed for the collar, situating it just so while he breathed in slowly. There it was. The musky, warm scent of Kolivan, draped all over him now. He surely looked ridiculous, but he didn’t care. Where Kolivan was concerned, Shiro was learning he didn’t mind feeling small in comparison. It really didn’t matter that Kolivan’s shoulders were wider, Shiro had to look up at him. It only mattered that he could be held and feel safe. The memory of that safety crept up on his senses now as he drew Kolivan’s shirt around himself. He dropped to the bed, tucking his knees up to his chest so that they too were covered. He nuzzled into the pillows. They too smelled of Kolivan and Shiro finally felt his rabbiting heartbeat start to calm. He closed his eyes and dozed off until Kolivan’s return.
all kolivan ships are 👌👌👌
