I ended up sending my teacher a big ol apology email for the mess that was assignments. I told y'all I would have nightmares about it and I did.
She was super understanding and said she could tell I put my heart into it along with reminding me there is nothing to be embarrassed about when first learning this stuff.
She is letting me redo the assignment for one witness and one defendant and giving me until Saturday at noon. I am beyond grateful. Still going to be stressed out about it and I am sure I will fight with these God damn mother fucking line numbers on the pleading template once again... But at least I will be able to turn in work that I am proud of, not turning in rough drafts because any grade is better than a big fat 0.

Really, really not feeling confident about the assignment I just turned in. I had a week to draft (from scratch) three subpoenas (with corresponding notices) and written discovery for three defendants. Not having enough time to fix up all of my formatting and typography issues is going to give me nightmares.

My followers know I hate talking about politics and current events, and generally refuse to do so, but this is important.
A bill has been introduced in the US that would make all pornography a federal crime. Owning it. Creating it. Distributing it.
Under this law, fanart of nude characters would be a federal crime.
Under this law, depictions of homosexuality or simply being transgender, would be considered pornography and a federal crime.
This bill is not going to pass.
However, the reason for this bill is to continue to push the "overton window". The reason for this bill is to make banning pornography seem more and more normal to everyone until they can actually do that.
And remember, they consider depictions of gay characters and transgenders characters "pornography" in any context, including platonic.
They have been working on this for a decade now and it has been working.
If you are one of the people in fandom who thinks that "nasty" porn on AO3 should be banned because it's "icky" or "immoral", then this mental scam is working on you.
Censorship is never about protecting people.
Censorship is always about control.
Do not let the rising moral panic affect your mind and make you weak to propaganda that lets others control you and control what you watch and read.

When they say they are going to ban "pornography" it means they're going to ban anything they don't like by calling it "pornography" and they don't like you!!
so embarrassing to watch yourself become obsessed with a character that feels tailor made for you specifically to become obsessed with. feels like i fell into a trap made just for me. like damn they got me. those are all the things i like and go crazy for
a character who truly, legitimately goes “but why does that matter?” about their feelings when someone who cares about them asks. and the sudden falling of everyone around them’s faces as they realize that this person doesn’t recognize themself as someone who needs or should be taken care of. i want Everyone to hurt. surprise at the idea, worry for them, horror at not having noticed. do you see this person who doesn’t think of themselves as a person?
ok so this is another long shot but a few years ago there was a twitter post (in japanese i think?) that had measurememts for how to make this book stand thing out of cardboard that you could use to double up books and use up more space on shelves
back then i made a bunch of these but by now i lost the pic and dont know how to find the original post anymore
if it comes down to it i can just take one apart and get the measurements from there but i would be very grateful if anyone happens to have the original post or something similar??
don't mind how long it's been since i made this post, anyway i realized that i don't even need to take one apart to get the measurements when i can literally just unfold it and refold it /FACEPALM
so anyway here is the diagram for anyone else who is interested!!
this requires pretty big carboard pieces, if you have a really big box or something you can make it from one piece, but if you don't, you can also just make each of the pieces individually and then tape them together
and then in the end you put it together like this!!
and then when you make a bunch you can put them all next to each other and stack your books like crazy
