Kompleksi

Kompleksi is an eclectro act from Tampere, Finland, who has released one LP, "Sister Longlegs Dances In The Disco" (Verdura Records, 2008). In this respect they could almost be categorised as an Anti-Glam group: their lyrics hark back to the kitchen-sink mini-Soap Opera approach of Soft Cell or early League, to an era before electronic music became part of the mainstream Pop vocabulary or was co-opted as a soundtrack to the cat-walk. They're also funny as fuck." Demagnetized dub and freeform post-house meets Berlin groovebox prog

Contents: The first half of the CDr collects the fragments of what was to become the debut full-length of Hauskat kotivideot. The self-made dance music of a fever dream reality, seen thru a lens distorted by demagnetization, diffused by a film of grainy hiss. A tilted road sign, pointing to a place that was never there. Forward thinking music playing backwards. pHinn Rautio of electro cvlt pHavourites Kompleksi does guest vocals.

The other half is a mini-album programmed, performed and produced entirely on a Yamaha QY-100 sequencer (or “Complete Portable Accompaniment and Music Production Tool”) by multi-media artist, devoted gear freak and Finnish Prime Minister of Groovebox Prog, Twisted Krister, during a brief stay in Berlin. A truly Great Work of Art. Complete with spartan techno remix provided by TFC.

Format: Hand-bombed Trax Data CDr with extensive liner notes and artwork on 30 X 33 cm folded xerox inlay in clear plastic sleeve.
