Men and women: the energy
Men and women were created different for a reason. God had a big plan in his creation, and the unity of men and women was an essential part of it. Male and female energies compliment each other, that is the reason why they do not need to be the same. Those two different body forms have different assets that can be united for the highest good.
Vedic Scriptures describe that each person has 7 main energy centers alongside the spinal column, called chakras. There are more chakras than that, but those 7 are the most substantial. They function very differently in different body forms; men and women have the energy in chakras flow differently. Three are active in women and three in men with one active in both. A psychologist, blogger and inspiring woman Olga Valyaeva (www.valyaeva.com) explained this system in a very easy-to-understand manner in her book. After reading the chapter on energy flow a lot of things made sense to me and I decided to share this information.
1.Root chakra. Located at the base of spine in tailbone area. It is responsible for grounding, survival, feelings of safety and desire for procreation. By God’s design this chakra is active in men and passive in women. The man provides safety and the woman accepts it.
The most basic male function is protection. The man is the one who is meant to protect others from dangers and provide the essentials for survival. And the woman’s job is to accept his protection, to trust his plan and follow his lead.
However, in the age of gender confusion this idea is not very popular. Women fight so hard to protect themselves, but what do they get in return?
If a woman takes care of herself and her children her root chakra becomes active and starts functioning in a male manner. As a result she thinks that she can protect herself, but if there is a man in her life, he automatically assumes a very passive position, he starts expecting protection from her. Whether physical or financial, such man will start receiving protection from the woman while losing his strength and masculinity. A great example of such family is a movie “Angel” (2007) about a woman with a very active root chakra and her husband without any strength to care for the family.
2. Sacral chakra. Located at the lower abdomen. It is the chakra of pleasure and desire, active in women and passive in men. This means that women provide pleasure and men receive it.
There is no injustice in this principle. Women receive as much as they give by nature; they receive safety and give pleasure in return. Men and women are meant to have equal amounts of giving and receiving, but each has his or her area of influence.
It is a woman’s responsibility to not only cook for her partner, but to create an enjoyable experience; otherwise this level will not be satisfied. It is also her responsibility to look good and create comfort, simply because this is her area of expertise.
3. Solar plexus chakra. Located at upper abdomen in the stomach area. This is the chakra that is the source of the energy of money, achievement and activity. By nature it is active in men and passive in women. Men provide money and achievement and women receive them.
Most modern women have a problem with this principle as they get bullied by self-nominated strong women and irresponsible men who use offensive terms and claim that a woman with self-respect should never ask her partner for money. However, when a woman refuses to ask her partner for material things and accept his solar plexus energy, he starts losing money, opportunities and respect. He loses motivation for success, because the most important woman in his life does not believe in him and does not want to take what he can give her. As a result he can become financially dependant on her (if she wants to live on her own money, why should he worry about making his, by staying broke he doesn’t threaten her position of the financial leader); financially unsuccessful, due to the lack of respect that he gets at home (if a man is not respected by his wife nobody will respect him) or find a woman who happily accepts whatever he can give her. It is a woman’s responsibility to learn to happily accept whatever her husband can give her in the form of money, presents or comfort. Only after she accepts and shows her appreciation he can grow and receive even more.
4. Heart chakra. Located at the center of chest just above heart. It is responsible for love and peacefulness. Active in women and passive in men. Women give warmth and love and men receive them.
Women don’t like men who are overly sensitive because they make them uncomfortable. Once a man’s heart chakra becomes overly active the woman becomes incapable of loving him. A great example is the movie “Bedazzled” in which a guy made a wish to be emotional and sensitive for the girl he liked to fall in love with him. While, he became dear and close to her, she could not treat him like a man and had no romantic feelings as a result.
This does not mean that women should give their love and get nothing in return. Men do express their love but they tend to do it on different levels, using their active energies, at the root chakra level, by providing safety, or at the solar plexus level, by giving presents and satisfying desires.
5.Throat chakra. Located at the level of the throat. It is responsible for communication and self-expression. This chakra is more active in men and more passive in women. Women need self-expression, just like men, however, for a man to be able to actively express himself the woman must accept his form of expression.
In order to grow, a man has to express himself in the outside world and this is his priority. Even if he has a big family and house that he takes care of he will not be happy and will never progress as a person without achievement. The level of throat chakra is the level at which a man get a strong desire to create something unique, to become a hero. However, in most cases, he wants to do it for the sake of a woman. And the only thing she can do to help him is to be ready to accept his achievements when he puts them to her feet and show her trust in his strength. If a woman tries very actively to help her husband become successful she loses as the result, as neither of them will be able to appreciate the success that he achieved by using her efforts.
6. Third eye chakra. Located in the forehead between the eyes. This chakra is the source of intuition and imagination. It is active in women and passive in men. The woman gives her intuitive perception of the world and the man accepts it.
A woman is supposed to be the number one supporter of her husband. Her intuition and wisdom should be always on his side. When women express their intuitive feelings smart men listen, but when women try to argue by showing their knowledge and intellect they lose. Men are capable of analyzing facts, but they cannot argue with female intuition.
7. Crown chakra. Located at the very top of the head. It is the highest chakra that represents our ability to be fully connected spiritually. This chakra functions equally in men and women.
All living beings are eternal souls. Souls have no gender. Whether men or women we are the children of God. Whether studied or uneducated, rich or poor, men or women, we all are equal to him. Lord Krishna explained in verse 32 of chapter 9 in Bhagavad Gita.
māḿ hi pārtha vyapāśritya
ye ’pi syuḥ pāpa-yonayaḥ
striyo vaiśyās tathā śūdrās
te ’pi yānti parāḿ gatim
O son of Pritha, those who take shelter in Me, though they be of lower birth—women, vaishyas [merchants] and shudras [workers]—can attain the supreme destination.
Traveling from one body to another we fulfill different missions and desires. The body form that we get is determined by our past desires and deeds as well as the lessons that we wanted to learn. Some wanted to learn how to take responsibilities and got male bodies. Some wanted to learn how to be accepting, trusting and nurturing and got female bodies as a result. But we forgot that this happened for a reason.
The body form that we, women, have is an indicator that there are certain lessons we wanted to learn. We have a big task in this life, the task that we chose ourselves, to learn how to receive energy from men at the levels of the first, third and fifth chakras. As well as to learn how to give back generously at the levels of the second, the fourth and the sixth chakras. By doing that we are not only going to have happy families and help our partners grow, but also fulfill our feminine mission on Earth.
